The camera shows Bruce McClane, dressed in a white wife beater and a pair of jeans standing on a basketball court. He sinks a shot from half court and turns around. His million dollar smile is on his face as he spots the camera.
Oh, I didnโt see ya there. Hi, my name is Bruce McClane.
A basketball is passed to him. He catches it and dribbles it a few times. He then puts it on his finger and spins it.
I am the new guy here, but I promise ya, as soon as I get in that ring, I am going to be the name on everyoneโs breath.
He passes the ball off camera.
The whole reason I am here is that I got tired of seeing what pro wrestling has become. We have people who claim to be killers, hermaphrodites, guys talking about death, cussing, and a general sense of lewdness running amock in this industry.
He claps his hands and a ball is passed to him. He shoots from the top of the key and the camera follows the ball, as it hits nothing but net. The camera pans back to him.
I am going to fix that. I am going to be the role model for all of the young fans to look up to. You wonโt hear me cuss, scream, or be a bad sport. I am the all-American hero, and I will be the shining light of goodness in this dark, depressing place.
He claps his hands again and sinks another. As fast as the first one fell through the nylon, a second one followed. A third and fourth hit as the camera panned back to McClain, who shoots off three more. All three fall as the sound of the ball falling through the hoop is all that can be heard.
I am going to be the hero that everyone wants and the hero we all deserve. So all you youngsters out there, I want you all to be like me. Live free, and die hard.
Another ball is passed to him as he says his final lines. He closes down the promo with a wink. He takes the ball and flings it over his head. He drains the ยพ court shot and walks off as the camera focuses in on the ballโs flight.
