As we press play on the video the screen lights up with a handsome man in his late twenties standing in a dull brick training room in front of a row of faded blue lockers. His hair is a mess, presumably from training, and he is only visible from the waist up. Sweat is on his brow and his black tank top appears slightly moist around the edges.
Venom-Some of you may seem excited to see me, and yet some of you may have no clue who I am. I don't blame you, I've been out of this game called Professional Wrestling for a long time now, and I cannot say I was at the top of to many peoples lists the last time I was around. Just to get to know each other without going into great detail, lets just say I've been around the block a few times and that more then a handful of people already in this great organization have been in the squared circle with me before.
He stops and takes a deep breath. To many of the people who know him well he would seem a be nervous to be on camera, but the people who know him would also not believe it in his character to be so.
Venom-I was at one point the one to name names and list my accomplishments off like a grocery list, but I would like to think I have matured a little past that in the last two years. Besides, in a place new to me like this what do my past accomplishments mean anyway? Not much I am willing to bet. I am pretty sure that Mike Machado, Jack Hammond, and Doctor Dream don't give a damn about my past accomplishments. Why do I mention them you may ask, because if you've noticed the latest Trauma card you would already know.
A small grin overtakes the young mans face as he prepares to begin talking about his opponents for the first time.
Venom-Being new to this place I don't know much about either of my three opponents except what I have read in there biographies and I cannot say that there bios went into great detail about any of them. The first thing that popped out at me though is that possibly for the first time in my long career I will be larger then two out of my three opponents. Fighting a much larger man than me is no where near new ground to me, in fact I made somewhat of an art of beating heavyweights in my former career, so to say I am not worried about a man that outweighs me by around seventy pounds or so is a bit of an understatement. Nor have I ever feared a man who has to hide his face with paint to get the point across that he is scary and dark. If you're truly scary and intimidating you can prove it with your actions in the ring. I've been where you are with the face pain and I quickly learned that it doesn't do anything but mask who you truly are.
The thing in this match that bothers me just slightly is that there are actually two men smaller then myself. I have never fathomed in my life that I would ever face off with anyone that could possibly be faster or more agile then myself, and even though they are both the size they are, I doubt they actually will be, but it does interest me, and may be the one thing that can cause a hiccup in my debut.
I dig a little deeper though, and I find that Machado is nothing but a wannabe that is teetering on the brink of ending up as a never was. A cable guy training and succeeding to become a pro wrestler sounds more like a lame Hollywood B-List movie then a real life story to me, but stranger things have happened in professional wrestling, and I am more then willing to find out just what he has to offer.
He takes a long pause and wipes his brow. It is hard to tell if it is the heat of the camera causing the perspiration or the fact that he is slightly nervous after all these years, but he continues quickly to try and keep any nerves under wraps.
Venom-The on person who seems like he may be a bit of a real challenge to me in this match is one Jack Hammond. I look through his bio, and I read up on him just a little as I haven't had much time yet to prepare, and I envision myself nine years ago. The ability seems to be there, but doesn't seem quite at full potential. The willing to put his body on the line to get the upper hand though is always dangerous, and you can almost never see something like that until you've been hit with it and it is to late. I will study though, because that's what I do. I will look deeper and I will find tendencies, not only of his but of my other two opponents as well, and when the time comes, I will be as ready as I can possibly be and someone will become, just another causality, of society.
