*The scene opens not far from a forest in some unknown region. The trees around here are short and organized in rows. Instead of leaves, the trees are a mix of green, white, and tie-dye colors. A man is seen passing through the rows looking at each tree. He stops and the camera approaches him. Death Trap is the man. He looks up and begins to talk*
: Take a look here. Caterpillars. Little pathetic wimpy worms. Only thing they are capable of doing is eating. Useless . . . right? But wait, then after a few short weeks they go into a cocoon. Unable to move but a LOT harder to kill. They change. They become better, stronger. Then finally they hatch and become butterflies. Loved by most people, strong, full of life. So it is with us in a sense. While we may not be that drastic there are those who can be almost like them.
*He walks up to a tree full of tiny caterpillars.*
: Take my old partner and head of Anarchy Inc., Jeremy Lewis. Good ol' JL. . . oh wait that's JR my bad. Anyhow this guy has gone by through so many alterations that no one knows who he is any more. I mean really. Is his career so unsuccessful that every time he starts to level off he changes his persona and appearance trying to be noticed again? He can't stay at the top long enough to suit him so he changes over and over and over. He started off as a lowly jobber. Then as Wraith went to become the Phoenix Champion. But he wasn't good. He couldn't hold onto it. he couldn't compete. He may have been a champion but he redefined the word luck. He couldn't handle the spotlight and blew it. Wraith was defeated and broken . . . like the caterpillar, weak and in need of some assistance. he couldn't accomplish any goals in life. That's when he took it upon himself. Instead of gaining experience and getting better, he changes to a whole new person. He decides to become a new man instead of improving the one he was. This may have partially worked but all he really succeeded in doing was getting REnoticed but keeping all the same flaws and pitfalls to his career. He became new in a sense but in reality was just the same man repackaged for resale at a discount price. It's like instead of evolving, he simply put on a mask. Instead of lifting off on his career, he put it back in a different box and sold it as new. Instead of a new product, we still got the run-down outdated shit. But hey that's all well and good if it brought him success, and for a while it did. But like all charades it came to an end.
*He moves to a tree filled with cocoons.*
: Phase two . . . the Diamond era, the man who I teamed with. Sure enough eventually he returned as a new man. A man who would actually make an impact. Diamond rose the ranks, he went from the lowly Phoenix Division to the X*Crown and World Title hunts. He destroyed opponents and finally earned a shot at the illustrious World Title. It was him and Reeshi all alone yet he couldn't convert. He couldn't take advantage, he still had those original flaws, masked as they may have been. He failed to overcome them and because of that he was beaten by Reeshi. Diamond thought he was on top of the world and often acted without thinking and because of it he could never be the World Champ. He didn't have what it took. So he got another shot in a four way and he failed again and Reeshi took it home yet again. Rat and Diamond were two of the three opponents, two men in the 6 man tomorrow. Diamond failed twice. Finally he realized he wasn't quite good enough and captured the X*Crown. He had his popularity and his title. He cashed in with a huge success rate and fan base. He formed a team that would dominate over the next months, Anarchy Inc. And why? Because he saw talent and recruited someone who would make that team great along side of him. He had the Master of Puppets, me, Death Trap. He had the man that he knew would be great. In fact he had no idea how great I could become. Hehad everything now . . . yet as soon as he started to get eclipsed by his young partner, he once again reamped himself, his whole appearance and as a result, his whole being. He LOST that popularity, power, and skill. He brought back out all of his old flaws when he took on his real name as his wrestling persona. He became Jeremy Lewis. He became "smarter and stronger"
*He moves to a tree with hatched butterflies.*
: Like the butterfly in a way really. It loses its powerful protective shell to become what it really is. He became a new wrestler with a new look, new strategy, and new style. Unfortunately it all backfired because he lost his title. He lost his advantages. His X*Crown was taken from him because he could no longer hold his own. He lost everything. His group began to fall apart and now he has lost his best member and that same member will become World Champ. JL gets his shot but JL better watch out, he has become fragile and flawed. Everything he does exemplifies his flaws. He is no longer the force he used to be a month ago. His world is crashing down and his fate is sealed inside a set of steel cells. He will meet his doom. You see JL, metamorphosis is supposed to be a good thing, something that gives you an advantage over the rest but you turn it upside down and backwards. You have regressed into a worse form, you turned evolution backwards.
*He moves to one with all three forms of the caterpillar on it*
: Now take me, I'm much more educated. I know that to get better you have to continue to learn and improve on the original and make it better not repackage it to regain spotlight. I have learned from everyone and now I take on the hardest match of my young career and become World Champ in this fed. I will be the one all rookies strive to be like. I will take all 5 of you down and finish it off. I have honed all my skills to put them together into award winning matches and pain delivering moves. It's fitting that three days after Christmas I deliver your asses and give myself the greatest gift of all. That World Title will be mine and changing yourself will not save you from Final Judgment. The time is near. The Annihilation Complex will be your end JL. All those times you attacked me since I left you, all the fame you've lost. All the pain we've suffered will all come back to haunt you as I destroy you in revenge and in glory! Your end is now. You are in your own death trap!
