[The hard driving guitar of “Blue Orchid” by The White Stripes kicks in, and the fans look toward the entryway. As it builds into the opening chorus, Danny Wheeler appears through the curtains. He gives his fist a few short pumps before punching up into the air and giving a “Yeah!” to psyche himself and the crowd up.]

[Wheeler leans side to side, slapping hands with fans up close in the entryway. He continues giving out high fives doing one full lap of the ring before running up the ring steps. Wheeler stops and looks to the crowd, giving one more big fist pump and “Yeah!” before hopping over the rope into the ring.]

Biography |
Daniel Wheeler grew up living a care-free life on the Golden Coast. The youngest of two sons born to an insurance salesman, Danny spent his formative years amongst the middle to upper class in Pacifica, California. The family moved to Pacifica from Phoenix, Arizona two years before Danny came into the world just to escape some of the big city rat race and be closer to the ocean, which they all loved. Danny and his brother Richard took to the waves learning to surf. Rich was a premier surfer while Danny was into too many things to really excel at any of them. He played baseball, basketball, football and volleyball in school, plus more extreme stuff like BMX cycling and skateboarding. Danny graduated from high school without any clear path emerging for his life. He knew he would go to college, but didn’t know where best to put his various sport background to use. While visiting grandparents and checking out colleges in Phoenix, Danny took in a local pro wrestling show. The ring truck was late getting in, so a few of the kids that had showed up early got to help with setting up chairs and the like. Some of the boys showed their appreciation to the marks by giving them each a chop after the show... and Danny was the only one who didn't end up crying after it. They invited Dan to their “training school”, which was an old run down garage, but he went and a love with a new sport was born. Danny was one of the first athletes to sign up for CORE Wrestling in Phoenix, Arizona. Unfortunately the promotion folded before ever holding a single show. Danny’s hopes and dreams appeared crushed and he headed back to California. Eventually opportunity came knocking again with World Class Championship Wrestling, which was re-launching and in need of talent. Wheeler lasted until the end of a battle royale in his debut match. It got him noticed, and Wheeler made the most of his opportunity with WCCW becoming the Southwest Heavyweight Champion. The title helped Wheeler build valuable experience, although he would lose the strap in his first major defence. Shortly after, Wheeler and WCCW parted ways. Wrestling two-thousand kilometers away from home in a regional promotion wasn’t paying the bills, so he made the tough decision to put wrestling on hold and return to his day job in California. A year or so later, Wheeler was off again, spending a few months in Eastern Canada in Acadian Wrestling, but it was during the company's lowest period, just before closing down, and again, Danny was soon headed back home. Another quick stop with Chaos Wrestling in Nevada went nowhere after a handful of matches as well. It seemed Danny was destined to never be able to make pro wrestling work as a career. Now well over 30 and with hardly 20 total matches to his name, will EWE finally be a long term solution, or just another quick stop? |

Danny also has a tattoo of a Chinese-style dragon on his upper left back. Wrestler's Apparel: Inside the squared circle Danny Wheeler wears a pair of full-length tights. They could be black or brightly coloured - differs from show to show. Most common are black with deep red, or black with ice blue.
