Step by step walk the thousand-mile road.
Every story has its Beginnings, every path it’s origins, every day it’s sunrise and on begins with flash bulbs and wide smiles as Satoshi stood wearing the suit, black as always felt like a good fit on him.
{Japanese} “Thank you, Many of you have questions, so I will make my intentions clear.”
He leaned forwards on his elbows interrupting the cascade of questions with simple stare and a tightening of his jaw.
{J} “I have decided to take the great journey, to test my skills over the seas before I return, I have already informed my employers of such and despite what rumours you have heard there is no disagreement, we part on equal terms.”
The rest of the session was a blur, questions answered simply and directly before a nodded smile and a respectful bow before he made his withdrawal. A week or so later he was a plane to America to meet a Liaison of Combat Wrestling.
Boston was cold. But not cold enough that it was uncomfortable to him, it was bizarre to see a familiar face waiting for him, she was tall for a woman, and her hair as ever was an object of defiance to the world being that it was covered, blue her features were natural yet marred by colourful make up and rainbow lipstick Clad in cargo pants and neon pink shoes with a T-shirt hiding under a Green jacket.
Pandora Freeman, Soon to be Pandora Kane was every bit as bright and enthusiastic as he remembered.
The conversation began in Japanese as the Young woman practically bounced his direction with a smile and her crystal blue eyes laying on him.
{J} “Tenryu-Chan! How’s your English!?”
Satoshi despite himself, cracked a smile as he inclined his head and spoke in a familial tone, the woman had a way of doing that in even the dourest of circumstances, remembering the young woman performing in the midst of an earthquake alert, distracting those about her form the worry that usually occurred in these things.
{J} “Pandora-Kun, my English is better than your Japanese!”
She giggled, a little aside to herself as the two switched to English, exchanging bows before they start to walk to the car.
“I’m glad you decided to come here first Satoshi, thank you for accepting the invite.”
He inclined his head as they walked along.
“My travels have to begin somewhere Pandora and I am aware of Mister Kane’s reputation, It seemed.. Right. But I find you greeting me here, Is Spike alright?”
Pandora chuckles just a little and nudged Satoshi gently.
“You worry too much! He’s fine. When he found out I knew you He thought the personal touch might be better, that and I insisted on it.”
Satoshi shook his head and managed a wry smirk.
“You have not changed, have you? If anything the years have made you more intense.”
Pandora chuckles just a little her voice softened.
“This isn’t about me Satoshi, It’s about you. C’mon let’s take you to the office and get some things finalised and you can get settled, welcome to Boston!”
Satoshi sits in the middle of an empty ring in Lotus position and looking into the camera his form clad in his ring gear as he speaks.
“These shores are unfamiliar to me, I am unfamiliar to you and first impressions are difficult to make when you are talking an unfamiliar language, there is one language all of here understand deeply.”
He smirks
“The language of combat, transcends barriers, languages, race even gender, all we know and all we are is joined in the precious moments we share, moment s only those who share the battlefield can know in victory and in defeat we are family.”
He cocks his head to one side.
“And like any family, any clan, we will fight each other harder and harder in order to prove where one sits, and I have always demanded the best , expect the best and that is what brings me to shores a new to test myself and to improve or to set the standard by which this company will be judged and to that end I find myself in battle with two others.”
He stroked his chin pondering his next words carefully.
“I know little about my opponent’s , merely their names , their vital statistics and a rough description of how it is they fight, one would think it is folly to enter into such a battle , but how else are we supposed to introduce ourselves to the world, no this will be a true test of skill and ferocity to stand with men I barely know and learn the language of their fury.”
He nods slowly and eyes the ring he's sat in.
“It will not be easy, but I have confidence in myself I have mastered myself and so I fear no opponent I will simply stand tall and face the oncoming storm with all my might, no victory is certain but no defeat is inevitable.”
He shakes his head.
“We do not however trade in clichés and I do not expect you to understand the truth in my words until we have met Hardkore, Taane . But when Friday Night has reached its conclusion you will understand . One way or another.”
A slow affirmative nod as his eyes burrow into the camera as he said with bow of his head.
“Until we meet on the field of battle, just remember : omae wa mou shindeiru.”
He smiles into the camera.
“I will see you in Boston. Let us see where the leaves fall.”
