There are two sides to every coin…
The same is true of the Dalmon twins, especially my dear sister Lizzy. When you are in the pubic eye like we are, people think they know you. They see your celebrity and assume that is the person you are. People don’t realize that things aren’t always what they seem. They don’t know when they’re being deceived.
On the outside, my sister seems very sweet, and she can be. In front of the cameras she does all the right things, and says all the right words. She has control of how the world sees her. This is something she works very hard at. The only truth you know is the one she tells you.
Then there is the reality.
There is the side of the coin you don’t see.
There is something very dark inside my sister. Something that she keeps hidden. I know her better than anyone, and sometimes I think she’s even keeping things from me. I’d do anything for Lizzy, and I have. Unspeakable things. All I ever wanted to do was protect her. Instead I can feel her darkness continuing to affect me.
If this is the price I have to pay...I do willingly and gladly.

Landon Dalmon closes his journal and sets in on the nightstand next to the bed. He looks down at his sister who is snuggled up beside him. It’s been awhile since they’ve shared a moment like this. He’s missed it. Lizzy begins to stir and as she awakes she stares up at her brother.
Lizzy Dalmon: How long have you been awake?
Landon Dalmon: Not that long…
Lizzy Dalmon: You should’ve waken me up.
Landon Dalmon: You looked so at peace…
She rolls her eyes at her brother before turning away from him. Pulling the covers off she gets out of bed. As she stands there wearing nothing, it’s easy to see that her beauty is unmatched.
Landon Dalmon: There’s no reason to rush off. Last night was...nice.
She won’t admit it, but she enjoyed it to. Lizzy refuses to let her brother think he has any power over her.
Lizzy Dalmon: Last night...it caused me to sleep in! I can’t waste anymore time. I have to train, I have to be ready. Do you want me to be embarrassed?
As a Dalmon, everything has come naturally to Lizzy. The only thing that has ever given her any trouble is wrestling. It’s not acceptable.
Landon Dalmon: You know I don’t. But, you’ve been working so hard. It’s alright to take a break. We haven’t even been out in weeks. People are going to think we’re dead!
Lizzy Dalmon: They’ll know we’re fine as soon as the see us on Combat Wrestling.
Combat Wrestling, a small upstart run by wrestling legend Spike Kane. Landon struggles with how important it is to Lizzy. In his mind, it’s beneath them. He supports her nonetheless.
Landon Dalmon: If you want to fight just go back to IWF…
Lizzy Dalmon: No...I can’t. This is one thing money can’t do for me.
Landon Dalmon: Money is always the answer.
Lizzy Dalmon: It’s true, I could go anywhere and be welcomed with open arms, by management. I bring interest to their company. I put eyes on them they wouldn’t normally get.
Landon Dalmon: Isn’t that enough?
She shakes her head at her brother. Why doesn’t he understand?
Lizzy Dalmon: Everywhere I go, people treat me with respect. In the wrestling ring? It’s different. They don’t respect me. I’m seen as a spoiled rich girl who bought her way into the company. If I want to get respect, real respect, I need to earn it. I need to do things the right way.
Landon Dalmon: So sink to their level? You’re better than them!
Lizzy Dalmon: You know it, and I know it. Of course I’m better than them in every way. I’m a Dalmon! I’m going to beat them at their own game. I’m going to prove that just like in everything else, Lizzy Dalmon will excel in professional wrestling.
Landon Dalmon: It’s that important to you?
Lizzy just nods.
Landon Dalmon: I’m sorry. If it’s important to you, it’s important to me.
He rolls out of bed and stands next to his sister.
Lizzy Dalmon: Thank you brother.
She gives him a quick kiss on the cheek.
Landon Dalmon: Anything for you…
My name is Lizzy Dalmon…
But you already know that.
You also probably think I have no business stepping foot in a wrestling ring ever again. Sure my short career hasn’t been spectacular, but giving up isn’t in my blood. I’m a Dalmon and I don’t deal in failure. I’m sure some of you are laughing at me not getting what I want this time.
Go ahead and laugh…
I’ve already accomplished more in my life, than any of you ever will. I’ve had a gold record, a successful clothing line, and in my younger years I was a top flight gymnast. Just last year I launched my perfume “Lust” and to no surprise it’s selling as well as expected.
The point is...I don’t have to wrestle.
I look at the people who choose this life and know that they could do nothing else. Sure some of them have always dreamed of being a wrestler, but there are plenty out there who have no other options. If they can’t cut it in this business, they’re nothing but a waste of air.
I know I personally can’t wait for the first edition of Friday Night Fury.

I don’t know what you did to piss people off already. I know I wouldn’t want to be in the ring with me. They say you have a chip on your shoulder, well that’s nothing compared to the one on mine. I’ve seen the big time and I’m not coming to Combat Wrestling to fail. Our match is going to set the pace for both of our careers here.
If you’re looking at me as an easy target, a sure thing when it comes to victory, you couldn’t be more wrong. You much like everyone else probably sees me as nothing but a rich and beautiful goddess, that you don’t deserve to be in the presence of.
All of this is true...but I’m so much more.
You don’t know the amount of fight in me Amber, but you are soon going to find out. There is nothing more in this world that I want to do at this moment than beat you. Will it be easy? Probably not. But make no mistake, I’m not a soft little princess.
I will bring the fight to you.
We will get to see how this sport fits you. I already know that I can win because I’ve faced people who have mattered. I have beaten people who have name value. What have you done so far? Nothing of note. That comes as no surprise.

The biggest difference between the two of us is this. I want this, but you need this. Like I said, if not wrestling, what would you have? You could go into the family business. For me that’s making money and living at the top. For you? Would that be risking your life for people like me? That would make you nothing but disposable.
Trash to be thrown away…
I’ve heard you were a bit of a Army brat. I’m sure it must have been a hard life. My understanding is that you move around a lot when you’ve been given that tag. I know how it is. I’ve also traveled the world. Instead of seeing the inside of Army bases, I’ve stayed in the finest hotels, and visited the best sites the world has to offer.
Are you trying to find your place in this world Amber?
I know who I am.
When that bell rings, you are going to be the first woman on the Combat roster to learn that when it comes to me, looks can be deceiving. I can’t wait to prove everyone wrong about me. There’s Lizzy Dalmon the celebrity, and Lizzy Dalmon the wrestler.
You need to know the difference, even if I have to beat it into you.
It’s fitting that our match takes place on Groundhog’s Day because when it’s all over you will be reliving your failure over and over. If you're doubting yourself I wouldn’t blame you. That’s never been a problem for me.
I’m going to beat you Amber…
I’m going to beat everyone I face.
I’m going to get the respect I deserve.
I’m a Dalmon, and Dalmons are forever.
But you already know that.
