: Ah yes I remember this. First time we fought. Yes . . . I am looking back at some old memories. Of the best matches ever. That's right fans came to watch just one match because it was the best you could get. An instant classic. Yes I remember the days back in ECF when Gravedigger and I fought in four singles matches and two tag matches. This one was from when we first fought. I came out of that one easy. GD was still young and an upstart and I put him down fast.
*He flips*
: Ah the one for revenge. Yeah that went so well for ya GD. You put on a hell of a show but came up short. That 450 splash was too much. Man that was the first time the fans saw the potential of having the two best wrestlers in the ring at the same time. But I remained ECF Champ.

: Then this was taken while you were ECF Champion. That was the best match we ever had really. It lasted over thirty minutes and I came out on top after we destroyed each other. I loved
that title. I took it from you and had a happy new year. Good Christmas gift. That was indecisive as I got a roll up. Then . . .

: On Super Bowl night 2002. Yea I remember this all too well. You returned the favor in another long difficult match. You finally beat me. Hey these ECF pics are cool and all, I came out 3-1 against you. Then I took the tag titles from you and in the second one it was you taking them but without pinning my team. SO really I was 4-1 against you. Then came that long break and then XHF bought ECF. The first two matches we had were against each other and you showed me how out of shape I was so I took a month to build myself back to standard after two debilitating losses evening our series at 3-3. Then there were the various other matches where only one had a definite fall without interference and I won it to earn a shot at the title in November. But hey I don't want to look back to when I was weak. And ever since that FIRST loss to you I have not been the same. I am finally at the top of the wrestling world again and it is fitting that we will one more time see a match including Gravedigger and Death Trap. My match to show you I have become something better, back to the days when I was the UNDOUBTED BEST! Well it is time Death Trap once again held that top title. I am once again at the top of my game and I am ready to take that title.
*he pauses*
: You know Gravedigger, it is true that not everyone has experienced every stipulation in this circus match. In fact I'm pretty sure that Mongo has never had a barbed wire match, Benoit either. As a matter of fact it seems the only people who HAVE been in every one of these matches are myself and Destruction. Willy Spencer and you have NEVER been in a greenhouse. Harry has had hardcore but never a barbed wire match, and the greenhouse I'd have to check. But Gravedigger you have to ask yourself what that means because you don't HAVE to go somewhere uncomfortable, stay in the cages that fit you. So really this match isn't as bad as you made it sound. However the people in it make it that dangerous. You know you are right. You HAVE pushed me past my limits. But everytime I was at the TOP of my game I won except that one time. Now the times I was at my best, in my unstoppable states, when I was the best there was, you could Not beat me. You became my equal as I lost some ability through my frequent time off whether it be from injury, having to be owner, or just time to train . . . you had fought continuously whereas I hadn't. Now I have become what I once was. I have become once again an unstoppable force. Now to you this may seem like just talk but I have not been at this level of ability, intelligence, success, and power since back in the ORIGINAL ECF before you took that belt from me. Now that I am back to the way I should be will you still be my equal or will things be different. Will you end up surprised and find yourself on the receiving end of your own final judgment. Sure some of my comments may not have been exact descriptions of you but think hard. Have you ever had the fans boo you? No. Why? Because if they think they might you without realizing give them what they want. You cater without realizing it. They hinder you. I have freed myself of that weakness and have tapped unheard of reserves of ability trapped deep in myself and brought them to the surface. I am at least twice as good as ever before. And I can sure as hell back it up when I say I have FINALLY surpassed you once again to reclaim my rightful spot. The only difference is the other six men trying to take me down but that is just adding to the fun.
*He stops and thinks*
: But Gravedigger there is one thing I heard you say that made me see you are not the same dominant force that you once were. It started when you began to say I called you weak because of your losing streak. I never said that, I called you weak because you still remain attached to the anchor. The fans. The anchor that keeps your ship from sailing. The thing that has held you back. The one thing that will keep you stuck in neutral on the same track as you are on now whether you face those who pass you or those you can still out do. You only saw that those people who beat you surpassed you. And granted I too lost but I released that anchor and let that ship sail and bring me new successes that I never had reached. While I was still hindered by that weight attached to my legs I may not have had as much success as you had but I found my reason and erased it and now have once again risen to the top of the world. While you can call up my losing streak to compete with yours, I have LEARNED from mine and made changes to better myself and you have not. You refuse to see the truth and that my friend is why you are weak and I am not. But see another thing is the dominant, improving Gravedigger would never have brought that out or the history of everyone else.You see that GD was smart and learned not to live in the past. You still see all these people as they were including me. You see me as weaker than you when I have improved one hundredfold and now am in prime position to take what you so desperately want right from under your nose while you struggle for air trying to swim. I rise to the surface and take what you reached for.

: But see Gravedigger, you say you knew me so well. Yet you actually brought up all that stuff and accused me of the sin of envy. You should know that one thing Death Trap has NEVER BEEN and NEVER will be is jealous. I never envy what others have. I simply take what I need to prove myself and in this case it is that title. I do not envy you for your X*Crown or anyone else for anything. I simply know my limits and I have set a whole new set of limits for myself by embracing my talents and releasing the dead weight. But GD would never accuse me of being jealous, he knows me so well. Or maybe he doesn't know me as well as he might think. Maybe he is in for a surprise when he steps into the ring with a rejuvinated, rediscovered, multi-talented, better than ever before Master of Puppets. Maybe he will get what he deserves and see the course he chooses will lead to failure while I rise to success.
*He shrugs*
: But I find that maybe's are not certainties and I want to focus on certainty of what will happen. Yet Gravedigger lives in the past. You bring up everything you have done but that means nothing in contention for this belt, this is a new day, a new setting, new match, new foes, and a different time. GD the past means nothing and has no bearing on the future. You say we are even but the fact is that we WERE even. I have bettered myself. You say X can be cocky because you haven't beat him but that is no reason because tomorrow is a new day and a new time and you may be better, but you cannot see that because you are walking backwards uphill looking at what you pass rather than what is coming. You do not even realize you are backed to a wall and need to change course to advance farther! But then Gravedigger doesn't have to win . . . to "win." You see Gravedigger has another chance at the title at the end of the month. So he can focus on his little goals all he wants. I have but one goal, to become XHF Champion to prove all my critics wrong and be the best once again! To do that takes intense concentration and focus. It takes training and it takes mental preparation as GD said.

: Gravedigger seemed to have missed the announcement that it was elimination. He claims he is prepared and focused but he didn't know what the hell he was getting into. Mongo announced that it would be elimination first try. Gravedigger's little NOW it is tougher speech seemed to be nothing more than a quick cover up of his initial stupidity or lack of focus. And since he was so intent on talking about focus he decided to cover it but I saw through it. GD is too predictable. However he did hit on something in his cover up. There are advantages and disadvantages to elimination and to non elimination. While in a normal match it is one pinfall it is hard to do because everyone keeps breaking it trying to win on his own. However the advantage is that you just have to make one pinfall. This match has a better percentage of each person winning as it goes on but it is no easier. Sure no one will break your pinfalls but you have to watch yourself because they will then hit you as you recover and try to eliminate you. That is where GD and I have a distinctive advantage. The never say die, I won't lose, keep going even on empty, past your limits, must win, hard to get rid of, hard to keep down attitude . . . it's all about endurance. And as anyone can say GD and I have a ton of that. Both of us are hard to keep down. However we can keep each other down. When you get down to it, it is Death Trap who has thebest shot at dumping out the #1 Contender. I have the strength, endurance, and experience with GD to know his tricks for survival.

: You see GD ol' buddy, I haven't overlooked you. I simply decided I would get you all . . . ONE BY ONE! And you happened to be last because I figured I'd show you the respect you earned, my respect, and save you for the last position aside from the title holder himself. Yes I let you say your piece and shoot your mouth off and show your own stupidity long enough and now I am here to show you I haven't forgot about you, simply put you higher on the scale of who I respect, or who I should worry about. You should feel honored. However don't mistake respect for fear. You know damn well DT doesn't fear anything. And you may be good but I have become one better than good, one better than GD. But hey I'll let my actions prove that to you since talk never really impresses you, you are one of the best on the mic but that won't help in ring. You are damn right it'll be me and you hooking up somewhere in those rings at some point. I'm COUNTING on it being the last two since you and I both know we are the best in there and the cream of the crop. And I don't plan to overlook you. I plan to make sure it is down to me and someone else in that final two, if it's you so be it. It won't be me who's downfall comes though old buddy. I rely on no one and I ally with no one, but if it comes down to choice you'd be the one I'd want to end up one on one with. Because that is the best you get. And after all we need to show who has become the more talented fighter. I personally want to fight you in the Xtreme Skills ring where it is all on us and no outside help because that is the only way I can prove to you that I have ascended past the normal level you have seen me at all my career. I want to out wrestle you and become champ by pinning GD to the mat 1 . . .2 . . .3 or by making you tap. That would be THE most rewarding thing. But if it comes down to you being gone by then I will have to wait until the end of the month and once again face you walking in as the champ and hope I walk out with it still.

: Yet you still try to lose my respect by being stupid GD. You seem to want to get me angry when you know that is stupid because I go to an even MORE difficult and unstoppable extreme when angry. You continue to look to the past. You bring up Decimation. I beat Mongo. And I beat him bad. I was not KO'd pinning Mongo, I was hurt. Mongo would have been killed if that fall didn't stop me. Mongo sure as hell didn't have anything on me and that fall saved his ass. Sure the fall hurt, it would hurt ANY human. And Reeshi, the scavenging coward he is took advantage and threw one punch to finish what the fall started. But it didn't take a second man to KO Mongo. I DID THAT! I beat Mongo and he fainted from MY beating. I was walking out of there head high when Reeshi showed. You see it has been two full weeks and last week it was me destroying Platinum and Reesh and I were EQUAL again! Now after another FULL week of healing I am back to 100% believe it or not. It has been much longer to heal a much less severe injury than you give credit for. Yes I am back to my full power. I am ready. And you know it will take more than a barbed wire cell and Destruction to take me down. You've hit me with more than that. And I came out on top. I am ready for this and NOTHING, NOTHING will stop me from achieving my goal of becoming champ.
