Okay, just wanted to check in with everyone as far as the progress of the fed goes and what my goals here are. Now that I've been working on this for a few weeks, I can gage how we are going to grow and expand from here. Also just wanted to speak upon some other things that have been going on as well.
Alright, now that I have a few handlers on roster AND have put out some feelers elsewhere, I feel like I need to warn you guys that our growth is going to be slower than most. Fortunately, I can create and run new characters, but am hoping that once results get up that more people will jump on board for the experience. This isn't necessarily a bad thing as it allows to expand and grow at a more organic pace. The story and experience is the most important part, so for now it is okay that not all the pieces are in place yet. Hopefully those who are have a good enough time that they attract others who will want to be involved. I'm not worried about it, but just letting you know that the first few months might be a handful of handlers and my characters.
Speaking of that. Yes, I run all of the characters without bios ...but that does not mean they are passives for now. Right now, they are going to have storylines and agency to fill out the roster. I like some of these characters so will be using them in storylines and angles to better build the story of the fed and make more cohesive results. Will any of them win the big titles? I'm not going to say no ...the story might call for it. What I am going to say is that even THAT needs to happen organically through the story and reactions from the fans (handlers). What I will say is that in the long run, their purpose to NOT be pushed harder than the handler's characters, but instead will ultimately be used to get other characters over for the long haul. However, the more handlers we get, the more these characters will be cycled out or have their impact and role minimized. But right now, they are going to be active parts of the roster to fill everything out while gain the infamy we want to move forward.
But as an extension of that, I have no problem if you want to use these characters in segments or Roleplays or use them to set up your character's storylines. While I do handle them, I consider MOST of them free for the community to use as they see fit.
Another thing to note is that Climax and House Show results are for fun and to keep the ball moving in a way where I don't burn out writing results every week. They are there to use to build your characters story for social media, RP's, and segments. They are totally in canon with the main monthly show, but are nothing you have to RP or compete for. I consider the PPV's the main focus of the fed, thus they will be the things we will give the most attention to, but these weekly house shows are for you to pull inspiration from. Hell, your reactions to what happens here may steer in a totally difference direction. As such, cards will not be announced for these shows.
In addition to that, I do ask that our roster members NOT respond to the roster page. Anything that can be said there can be said in PM.
As far as other concerns from you go. Yes, I will be adding ring announcers ...but am unsure about backstage interviewers at this point. Lucha Underground doesn't need them and their shows feel more dynamic without that element. Let me know what you think and I'll ponder it for awhile.
