[The scene opens to the sky, as the golden dawn breaks through the clouds on a cool breezy spring morning in Northwood, IA. As the camera pans down, a blinding array of lights shine into the lenses. As the picture focuses, a huge barn like building comes into focus and we see the brightly lit sign that reads 'Diamond Jo Casino" just as a limousine pulls up out front. As the driver walks around to open the door, the sounds of 102.7 The Super Hits can be heard from the radio inside the car. Out of the back of the limo steps newly signed ICW superstar, Jack Diamond sporting a sleek Fioravanti suit. He spots the camera and smiles, and breathes in the cool morning air, slowly exhaling.]
Jack Diamond: Ahh, luxury road trips in a luxury suit, man what a life. As I'm making my way up North, I see this place like a beacon from a lighthouse in the middle of the perfect storm. "Diamond Jo Casino!" Ha, you know I have to go and check this out. Sure, it looks like a barn on the outside but being named after the greatest wrestler to ever lace up his boots... Well, you know it's got to be something special.
[Jack tips the driver and speaks to him inaudibly to the camera, where we can only assume he is giving direction to park and wait on the superstar. As the limo pulls off, Jack motions for the camera to follow him as he heads to the entry of the casino.]
Jack Diamond: There is nothing like the thrill of winning a big hand of cards, staring at your opponents in the eyes as they try to figure your mentality out, "Is he bluffing?" "Should we fold?" and then the look of defeat, and disappointment in their eyes as I crush their dreams of fortune and take the pot.
[Diamond enters the casino, and immediately the employees there recognize him, as well as the close by patrons. Sounds of cheers, screams, and complete adoration start sounding through the playing floor, almost to the point of drowning out the music, machines, and somehow the neon lights that feel the game floor.]
Jack Diamond: Wrestling is much like a game of chance. You’re waiting for your card, your dice, your ball to hit the winning side of things and you can either leave with the riches... or you can leave empty handed. Make no mistake about it, Jack always leaves with more than he comes with. Icon Championship Wrestling is my next table. Will it be all in? Will I have to fold? What if this is the game that finally gets The Ace? Time will tell. What is inevitable though, Is the ICW just landed a wild card. There some talented stars in the organization, without a doubt, but they have never….NEVER came across a star that shines as bright as Jack Diamond.
[Jack walks by a crowd of people that clearly recognize him and their excitement shines through their faces. He stops, pulls out a sharpie from his pocket and begins signing hats, shirts, money, whatever the fans can produce for him to sign.]
Jack Diamond: Some people look at me and see arrogance… I can see how that would turn those few off. However, when I walk into a room EVERYONE takes notice. The millions of fans, The Diamond Club if you will, those who know what Jack is all about…well that is what matters. Sure, they all just want the rub from my greatness… and that is okay. They freaking idolize me man. I can lie, cheat and steal my way into the hearts of all these folks and the cheers only get louder.
[Jack finishes up his impromptu autograph session, puts the marker back in his pocket and continues over to the bar area where he orders a Kraken and Coke Zero. He takes a drink, tips the bartender and heads back across the casino floor.]
Jack Diamond: See, these are my people. They know I came from a small town, so it allows me to walk into any small-town USA and connect immediately. Sure I have the ten thousand dollar suit on, but they still see me as one of them… a pillar of what you can become if you work hard in this life. I am success. That is what I bring to the ICW.
[Jack has made his way to a poker table, pulls out a rolled up stack of hundreds from his suit and exchanges them for chips.]
Jack Diamond: Like this game here, it looks like it may be all luck… all chance, that someone like me can take the house but don’t be fooled. I am Jack Diamond, and I am just that damn good. All of you that are waiting eagerly to see me in the ICW… well the chips are down my friend. All you have to do is tune in to TNT and before you know it you will be looking at a Royal Flush in Jack Diamond that will make the rest of the locker room look like a 10 High hand. Now, deal me in chief…
[The dealer accepts the ante from Jack and deals him in on the hand. The Diamond club surrounds The Ace of Spades hanging onto his every move and sound as the camera slowly fades out.]
