It’s been a weird evening in Jackson, Mississippi. Apparently, Jack Diamond is on the hunt for ICW owner, Shawn Rossdale and Bobby Barratt. After finding a book of matches outside Rossdale’s hotel room for Wonderlust, Diamond’s search turned up empty as he uneasily went to the LGBT night club, bumping into Mad Dog Smith in the process. As Diamond went to leave he received an unknown phone call offering help in knowing just where to find ICW’s new “power couple”.
Diamond: What the hell is this? Mississippi Livestock Arena? Stop up ahead, I need to check this out.
The world champ’s driver pulls up beside an arena where rodeos, livestock parades, and fun events like tractor pulls and pig races are held. 1207 Fairgrounds Street. It is definitely the address the caller said but Diamond is even more confused than he was earlier tonight. As Diamond gets out of the back of the car and walks up the sidewalk he begins talking to himself.
Diamond: Livestock arena… well it would make sense, after all Barratt and Shawn are a couple of jackasses, and Jenny… well she looks as though she should be eating from a trough.
Diamond lets out a small laugh, clearly amused with himself but he also has a look of frustration on his face, upset that he’s hit another dead end. Just before he turns to walk back to his car, a woman steps from the shadows, her voice almost startling the Ace.
Woman: I was beginning to wonder if you would show.
Diamond turns around and sees a blonde hair beauty smiling from ear to ear at him. The woman, Dakota Paige, was signed a little more than a month back by Rossdale and ICW, prior to the women’s division crumbling after the abrupt exit of Sapphire and Mandy Joe.
Diamond: And just who might you be?
Paige: I’m Dakota Paige. I was going to wrestle for ICW, but when I came in those other girls tucked their tails and ran. I’ve stuck around though and have witnessed all the craziness that surrounds your title reigns and the drama with Mr. Rossdale, Barratt and Jenny.
Diamond: You said on the phone you knew where they were? That you could help?
Paige: Well, I wasn’t exactly honest with you. I do want to help, but I have no idea where the boss and his protégé are now. I saw you leave the hotel earlier though and you just didn’t look in the right state of mind.
Diamond: Wait, you lied to me? You’re wasting my time sweetheart.
Diamond turns to walk off but Dakota reaches out and grabs his arm, stopping the champ in his tracks as he turns back, half mad-half intrigued.
Paige: Don’t go. I’m here to help. You have gotten away from what made you win that world title in the first place. Look at yourself, Jack. You were a lone wolf, fighting your fight and to hell with everyone else. Now, you are so wrapped up in what Shawn has done that you are walking into one of the largest matches of your career to date focused on the wrong thing.
Diamond: You don’t know me, you don’t know what I am focused on.
Paige: Well, I know you went to Wonderlust tonight looking for a fight. How would that play out? “ICW World Champ Brawls at Jackson’s Premier LGBT Club.” That’s not a good look, champ.
Diamond: How the hell did you know I was there?
Paige: When celebrities come through a place like Jackson, everyone takes notice… see for yourself…
Dakota pulls out her cell phone and pulls up Dave Meltzer’s twitter page. Diamond’s eyes widen as he reads the head of The Wrestling Observer’s latest post.

Diamond: They were there! I KNEW IT! I need to go back…
Paige: And do what exactly? Get in a two-on-one fight with Barratt and Rossdale? Rossdale who is your boss, I might add. That’s why I called you, baiting you out here. You have to get focused on your triple threat match. You have way too much on the line.
Diamond turns and storms off towards his car, visibly upset. Halfway there he stops and looks back at Paige who hasn’t moved. Deep down, Diamond knows she is right. Gone is the focused, hardworking champ who beat nine other guys in a rumble match to become the first ICW Champion. In its place, an angry, brooding, paranoid champ who thinks everyone is out to get him. He shakes his head.
Diamond: Who the hell are you, woman.
Paige smiles and walks over to Jack, placing her arm over his shoulder.
Paige: I am the woman who is going to take the Diamond Club to new heights, baby. You need someone who actually looks out for your best interests. I can do that. Come on, let’s talk…
Paige leads Jack back to his car where the driver opens the door for them and they get in. The car pulls off as the scene fades out.
Friday, July 14th- 6:45AM
It’s been over a day since we’ve seen our champion, Jack Diamond. He rode off into the night Wednesday, alongside Dakota Paige who seemed hell-bent on helping him focus on Monday night’s triple threat match against Bobby Barratt and Brett Stetson.
The scene picks up early Friday morning inside the Jackson Marriott hotel. Diamond, sits alone at a table in the room, working on one of his ring robes. There is a shuffle to his right and Diamond glances over.
Paige: There you are, I thought you left. What are you doing?
Diamond smiles. He is typically the one-night-stand kind of guy, but something about this woman has him hooked.
Diamond: I am working on some of my ring gear. You were right, it is time I get my mind back on what put me at the top of this company. That is my will, my heart, and my God-given talent. That is what I intend to re-introduce the world to Monday night. I’m done worrying about what Rossdale does or doesn’t do.
Paige: Good, because as I mentioned the other night, you have a lot riding on this match. If you lose, you have to defend your world title next week and either Barratt will get to pick his match type at the pay-per-view or Stetson will be entered into the World title picture. Winning this match is your only option.
Diamond: Not only is it my only option, it is the only thing that WILL happen. I have Barratt and Stetson, and they are all I am focused on. I have fought Bobby twice now in my short time in ICW and I have beaten him twice. Both times, I did so by overcoming outside forces. He can bring all the weapons he wants, he can pop off from the mouth as he wishes, but the fact is I have his number. A little piece of him dies each time he steps in that ring with the greatness that is Jack Diamond. Monday night will be no different.
Jack tosses his ring attire aside. He picks up a TV Guide magazine that has Brett’s face on it, with the caption “Golden Idol – How Hollywood is taking the wrestling world by storm.” He looks over to Dakota and just shakes his head.
Diamond: And Stetson... A guy I completely dominated last week, well on my way to win the Ironman title, before the unfortunate events. A guy I eliminated from the Rumble match in June. A guy I threw on thumbtacks the first time I met him in a ring. Everyone talks about how he is the champion, how he has the gold but they forget one thing. They forget that I am the true champion. I hold the World title, and I have proved my dominance over both of these guys. I should have all three single titles right now, but instead I step into the ring with the two men who are holding those belts for me at the moment. Well, they better hold on tight because they have awoken a sleeping giant in Jack Diamond. I will win this match Monday, I will go into Midsummer Night’s Massacre against Bobby Barratt as the champion, and I will walk out the champion. There isn’t a damn thing that he, Shawn Rossdale, or anyone else can do about it. This Monday, an Idol and Icon fall while the Ace rises higher and higher.
Paige: You can bet on that! Ha, I always wanted to say that…
Diamond looks at her, losing his train of thought. He busts out laughing as he gets up and walks over towards her. What will happen this Monday? Are Paige and Diamond the new “it” couple? The scene fades out.
