As requested by Duke this post is for discussion how you feel about the potential end of the world. Will it go out with a bang? A whisper? A HORRIBLE AND AWFUL PERIOD OF TIME IN WHICH IT SUCKS TO BE STUCK ON EARTH BUT MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE BELIEVED JESUS WHEN YOU HAVE THE CHANCE like predicted in the Bible?
It's an interesting topic that I think grabs a lot of people's attention. Before we start though I'd like to note that according to the Bible it'll be pretty hard to predict the exact time (or maybe even rough time). Jesus told his crew,

I believe those who are blessed by grace and brought to heaven will enjoy a relaxed a loved existence but those who are left behind to fight and fend for themselves to suffer for their disbelief will be truly tortured

i'll be likely dead before it happens so... sucks for the poor souls that have to deal with that.
ALso i think that when the world does end, not if, but when because it will end at some point in time. That it'll be because of man taking too many resources from her and/or the sun dying out/off which would in turn kill every living life form in this solar system. Then again i'm sure we'll be either in space or would have reverted back into cavemen again.

There will be a string of winters, followed by a great war resulting in numerous casualties. Then come devastating natural disasters, and finally the flooding of the Earth. All to followed up by the rebirth of our planet.
I'm an on again-off again believer of Norse Mythology.

There is the theory that we have no world traveling species because every species capable of interplanetary travel is also too far advanced in warfare, and they always end up murdering the entire planet before they can fly. If that's the case, we're getting very close to that. If we don't all get incinerated by nukes, we won't see it, but everyone on Earth will be overheated to death a few hundred thousand years before the sun envelops the planet. Eventually of course, the entire universe will over heat, so there is no escape eventually according to science. But we can still live a few billion years if we can travel the stars. Of course, we may also all starve to death before any heat deaths, unless the rapture happens before then. Or there's massive uncureable plague, which we're also close to. And then of course there's the rise of the robots, which will take us over unless we assimilate.
Of all those, I'm going to go with robot death. Terminators FTW.
