LOCATION: ThrillBorn Studios
Inside ThrillBorn’s music production room, Christian Phoenix, Axl Royce, and Stacy O’Rian are all sitting in the studio. Judging by the looks on their faces, their work flow was interrupted. This is because during the writing process for the band’s debut album “Saturn Starlight” they received word that Phoenix’s opponent, Maverick, had released a response to his statement for their match at Xtraction: Blood Money. The three huddle around the computer screen, watching intently the contents of “The Mercenary’s” response.
Axl: Christ, what’s the deal with this guy?
Stacy: He comes off like a major prick, that’s for sure. I mean, off all people to make fun of looks, him?
Axl: Alright, calm down, Stace. We’re not supposed to make fun of stupid people.
Axl: Hey, Chris! What’re you thinkin of this dude?
Christian stares intently at the screen, a hard mixture between angered and confused.
Stacy: Christian?
Christian: … Give me a sec, guys. I’ve got to take care of this.
Christian walks out of the room as Axl & Stacy look on. They share a look towards eachother and both shrug.
*Later That Day…*
Christian Phoenix stands at a cliff overlooking the area. A view so stunning, even the coldest of hearts wouldn’t be able to help themselves but stare with amazement. The cool breeze hits Phoenix in the face, his long hair flowing back in the wind. A feeling of discomfort swarms the young Christian, however. Maverick’s response, something about it felt… different. Christian couldn’t help but feel this sense of dread. On the outside, it looked like all he did was shoot off a couple of poor jokes. But the look in his eyes spoke of something else. Something dark. Feeling as though he had wasted enough time, Christian turns back to walk towards the studio, now having an idea for what his next move shall be…
*Night Falls…*

*An explosion pops up on the screen. Through the flames, a Phoenix flies above camera shot, before zooming horizontally across the screen, leaving a trail of flames behind it...*
In the dark of night, a small fire is built outside of the studio trailer where the ThrillBorn group calls home. The camera focuses on the flame, but then slowly pans up to Christian Phoenix, lit cigarette in hand.
Christian Phoenix: Fire… It’s often described as a force that can aid, or destroy. Fire can be used to warm the cold, melt the hardest of objects and turn them into useful tools… But it can also be used to burn hard work to the ground. I’m the type of person who is all too familiar with playing with fire. Back in California, before I started wrestling, when I put everything on the line for the music… And I failed. A fire burned through all of my passion, all of my determination and I was on the brink of self-destruction... But then I was brought back by a new fire. And that was the fire of the man I now consider to be my best friend, and my brother… Axl Royce. You see, when I was spending my days inside my ratty little apartment, trying to figure out if I even had a backup plan, he found me. He pulled me out of my rut and saved my life… My friend is the reason why I’m here today, better than ever! But Maverick... Maverick is clearly not as similar to me as I originally thought. You had some cute little jokes. Not the first time I’ve heard someone make those remarks, and it sure as shit won’t be the last. But it wasn’t in the words you said. It was in your eyes. You may have partners… But are they truly friends? Because Maverick, all I see when I look at you right now is someone who’s broken, on the verge of that self-destruction… But you don’t seem to want help. You would rather burn out in a blaze of glory, right? I don’t know what’s going through your head, Maverick… But if you want to fire me up, if you want to get in my head and play these little games… It’s not going to work. I may be 24 years old, but I’m smarter than you give me credit for. And the biggest mistake of your life is underestimating Christian Phoenix. Say whatever you want from this point forward, because all you will be doing is digging your own grave. And inside that ring, with everything on the line, I will give you the self-destruction that you seem to crave oh so badly! I will shock you to your very core, I will take to the skies and I WILL put you down! So, keep on with your jokes. Keep on with your little games, because at Xtraction: Blood Money… None of it will matter. The time for talk is coming to a close, Maverick. It’s time for action. And my actions are louder than any words I could speak after this… Because my actions are LOUDER THAN LIFE.
Christian throws the cigarette into the firepit, and the camera pans down to the fire. The last shot shows the cigarette burning away as the camera fades to black…
