We focus upon a one eared Doctor behind a desk. Dr. Remington Booker from the St Dymphna Home for the Criminally Insane on Killswitch Island. A small island that exists between Wales and Ireland.
DR. REMINGTON BOOKER: You have come to me on the subject of Tabitha Osborne, who calls herself Zolothach, High Priestess of Cthulhu. You want my advice on if she should even be allowed to compete.
The Doctor absently rubs a scar where his left ear used to be as if it were an itch that were bothering him.
DR. REMINGTON BOOKER: I would have Tabitha back into a cell for the rest of her life. Lock her up and throw away the key before she begins another twenty state killing spree like she did when she was a mere twelve year old. Let me describe where Tabitha has come from.
Tabitha Osborne was born to Terrance and Emilia Osborne. Her father and grandfather were both wrestlers of fame. A talent that Terrance was keen on passing down to his oldest son, Aiden. Emilia wanted a daughter to parade about in dresses, have tea parties, and otherwise engage in “girlie activities” with her.
Only Tabitha Osborne was a wrestling fan from the moment that she saw her father in the ring. Gone were the desires of spending time with her mother to do “girlie things” and in were the dreams of becoming a great wrestler.
Everything stood against Tabitha and her dreams. Her mother was most against her becoming a wrestler. Her father was dead set against any women wrestling, much less his ten year old daughter.
In the end, Tabitha won the right to become trained alongside Aiden in the building enclosed wrestling ring that Terrance owned in his backyard.
It would be a trap.
Tabitha was taught how to take punishment. Aiden would use her as a practice dummy with their father also inflicting wrestling moves upon her in the name of instruction. Tabitha learned quickly to become evasive and to counter, but also learned that to practice these techniques meant that her father would step in and inflict more punishment. All of these bruises, wounds, and eventually broken bones were brutal attempts to get Tabitha to give up the dream of becoming a great female wrestler.
With Tabitha’s battered body becoming something of a public spectacle, Tabitha was kept home and schooled by tutors that were paid hush money to keep what amounted to serious physical and emotional abuse under wraps.
If this were the extent of the abuse that Tabitha would be forced to endure, we may have been dealing with another type of story.
It was not.
Failure to beat Tabitha down into quitting eventually brought Terrance into drinking. When he would get drunk enough, Emilia would lock the door to their bedroom and not allow her husband into the room. The idea is that he would sleep on the couch.
If only that were the truth.
Terrance would creep into Tabitha’s room and share her bed, often forcing Tabitha to perform the same “wifely duties” that her mother was refusing to perform that night. Yes, I am describing what we would call incest and {No Means No}.
Emilia would one day discover what happened at the nights that she banned her husband from their bedroom. She would come to blame Tabitha more than her husband, keeping him out of the bedroom four out of seven nights. The result was only more nights of terror for Tabitha.
She was given the option to refuse on each night it is said, but refusal also meant quitting the wrestling training.
When her older brother became of dating age, he too was allowed to avail himself of Tabitha in order to prevent him from looking like a fool when he found a girlfriend that he wanted to have sex with.
A Doctor was kept on retainer to come to perform midnight abortions. He was told about Tabitha’s slutty ways and not the truth of forced incest.
Tabitha Osborne was all alone in the world and kept home without any friends to be beaten and abused to eventually drive the wrestling bug out of her.
This is when she discovered Cthulhu and began to worship Him in secret. She would reach her mind into the ether and learn secrets that would drive lessers insane. She would find a strength that she did not know that she had.
Upon her twelfth birthday, Tabitha would drug her family and tie them up. While her mother watched on in horror with lidless eyes, Tabitha would slowly take apart Terrance and Aiden before turning her attentions to her mother at the last.
Free of the abuse of her family, Tabitha became Zolothach, High Priestess of Cthulhu. Imbued with new strength and freedom, Tabitha would go on a twenty state murder spree before being caught by Detective Frederick Keen in Texas.
She was found Guilty by way of Insanity and sent to the asylum on Killswitch Island to be under my care until her demise or until she is cured of her ailments.
It was during a one on one session with Tabitha that she violently removed my ear and chewed it up. It was then when she became a near permanent resident of her solitary confinement cell.
Oh, we let her out for brief periods. The tourists liked watching the drama that is Zolothach. Early on, staff and other patients would take advantage of her when they could. Violence and abuse was all that she knew to trade in and the asylum had that in spades.
For years this is the way it went until a wrestling company came to the island for a short amount of time. Tabitha was allowed to wrestle for the first time. Really wrestle.
After that company folded, she wrestled for one company after another. She eventually earned her freedom, though I’m still uncertain how that really is true. She’s still a crazy nihilist that worships an imaginary god that was created in a series of science fiction horror movies.
It’s my understanding that she has joined a wrestling company called Sakura Shouju Stampede in Japan. I understand that she’s been more of a feminist than a nutjob, but that’s probably just her world view changing. I still think that she should be kept in solitary confinement for the rest of her life or outright executed, but that’s just my opinion on the matter.
I wonder if she even has a thought on what it would mean for her wrestling career to be X*Crown champion?
The Doctor reaches again for the scar on the side of his head. It seems that he does spend a lot of time touching the scar without actually noticing that he does this.
DR REMINGTON BOOKER: I guess it’ll be up to her opponents to determine how batshit crazy that she really is.
