The shot opens up inside the Miyagi Zao Fox Village where it’s somewhat noisy with some of the roaming foxes inside the place yipping or barking at one another while others are going around chasing one another. Some of the four-legged creatures even walk up to the cameraman, almost begging to be pet, but they push on past the bundle of foxes, keeping to the trail before them as a means of guidance. Further along the path, a platform overlooking a pen of foxes sits just ahead. At the moment, only a single man is by himself, looking down into the enclosure accompanied by a faint humming noise as the camera approaches. Moving to the man’s side, we’re able to clearly see that it’s Raiden, whose attention is more focused on the foxes down below. Within the enclosure, some of the foxes are seen chasing one another around, sleeping wherever there’s an open spot, or play fighting in small groups.
“Interesting, isn’t it? An animal to be full of such vibrant energy and ability to do so much with it. I don’t know why, but that fascinates me to a degree. It’s weird to think about, but then again, weird is the norm these days.”
He chuckles to himself.
“Aside from that stray thought, here we are once more to discuss the ongoings of what’s flowing through the mind of Ishimori. The thoughts, the feelings, you know the drill.”
A slight smile creeps up on the corner of his mouth.
“Last time out, I participated in probably what was the most unusual match of my career thus far. Holding that heavy log up and having to shuffle around with it was tougher than it looked, but nonetheless, I came out victorious. Hope the poor girl’s alright in the end because god damn was that a sickening thud.”
He briskly shakes his head before continuing.
“Now, I’ve got another challenge to face in the form of another female competitor. However, from what I’ve researched so far, she’s more fierce compared to what style Mulan possesses and this woman could definitely be deemed as dangerous given her demeanor and style of wrestling. Yet, they say all beasts can be defeated, even tamed if done with the right kind of action.”
He points out a pair of foxes that are currently fighting over a spot on a grouping of rocks. One nearly loses its balance after slipping on the edge, nearly taking the other fox with it before both skitter back up and keep growling and lunging at one another.
“So elegant yet ferocious at the same time...that’s what I want to see in the ring from my opponents. The fire in their eyes when they step into the ring, the energy that radiates from them knowing they’re ready to fight...maybe that’s why I find foxes so interesting.”
In the ongoing growl contest, one of the foxes ends up going for a tackle on the other, but the latter manages to spin out of the way, sending the former sliding down the rock cluster and onto the dirt. Another soft laugh escapes Raiden’s lips as he keeps observing.
“Even with such intensity, you still have to know what you’re doing with the adrenaline that’s coursing through your veins. Recklessness only leads to endangerment and the next thing you know...you wind up in a position you don’t want to be, a disadvantage of sorts that was caused solely by yourself.”
He eyes the camera from the corner of his eye before returning his attention to the fox pen.
“...You know something about that, don’t you...KITSUNE…”
Raiden’s lips curl up into a sly grin.
“The unpredictability...the ferocity...the will to not give so easily...you really are a fox in human form. However, even with those strengths that you possess, they really can be your downfall at the same time. It could happen as quick as a flash, or overtime you will succumb to the risks you’re taking and only tire yourself out. Such a thing would be a shame to occur, and I would hate to see it go that way.”
Raiden’s full attention turns away from the fox pen, turning it towards the camera.
“I can only hope you’re able to show me the same intensity that these foxes have come our match in the coming days. Let me remind you, however, you are a Kitsune...a fox for our American viewers, and you are about to dance with an Okami...a wolf...an animal that is more intense, more powerful, more fierce than a simple fox. I can already see it now…”
He drags his hand across the air with a smile.
“Fox versus Wolf...David vs Goliath...etcetera, etcetera. The challenge is in front of you KITSUNE, but the question remains: Are you ready to face it?”
Raiden calmly steps forward towards the camera until only about a majority of his face is within the shot, his chilling stare practically piercing the camera lens.
“Show me what it is that you have inside you. I practically want to see the spirit of the fox emerge from you and in this epic tale of wrestling that shall be filled with speed, intensity, a story that will forever live in the archives of Suzuki Blitz Wrestling. Yet, let it be known that in the end…”
Another faint laugh bellows from him.
“...that the Winds of Catastrophe shall sweep another person off their feet and that Bone Cold shall continue his path to the mountaintop where he shall be revered. Bone Cold will not be denied passage to the top!”
Raiden silently meanders his way out of the shot, quietly walking towards another section of the Fox Village, his fists tightly balled up as he stuffs them into his pockets before it fades to black.
