Night of Champions week is all at the XHF Arena for the AWF and AWF UCK starts off with a roar of applause from the entire crowd! The venue even allows pyrotechnics to kick up! The camera pans throughout the tens of thousands of fans before moving to our announcers.
Taylor: Good evening and welcome to the Night of Champions Gold Week! This is Friday Night and according to us, I'd like to think that this is the BEST night!
Romano: Well we did win Blood Money after all. But we have so much in store for you today in just three matches. The Phoenix Championship will be decided. Natasha will defend her XHF Phoenxi Championship against the number one contender Furanku Furetcha!
Taylor: We have a fatal fourway match between three of the AWF's newest: Greg Adkins, Roy Harlowe, Guardian del Infierno and a returning AWFer Villalobos, best known for his tenure as the second Prestige Class Champion as El Cazador.
Romano: And headlining this show is Seth Dillinger defended the State of Ohio Championship, currently held by his opponent, Maverick.
Taylor: Now it's time to head to our opening match. Let's get this show underway!
“Pervert” by the Descendents begins to play throughout the arena as the crowd goes crazy waiting to see Greg Adkins "The Sex Fiend", "The Dirty Hobo", "Guttertrash" come walking through the curtain and stumble his way down the ramp from another night of partying and crazy sexcapades. But after a few minutes nothing the music stops the ring announcer Jessie Love looks around confused as his music begins again, the front row begins to scream and holler as Greg Adkins climbs out from underneath the ring with one of the female XHF employees he simply smiles pats her on the rear end and sends her up the ramp as he slides in the ring.
Jessie Love: Hailing from Tuscola, Illinois and weighing in at 165 pounds he is Greg Adkins!
Romano: That's just beyond belief and unprofessional of Adkins, he shouldn't be allowed to do that.
Taylor: He can't help it if the ladies like him.
The Drums blast over the PA system like a series of machine gun fire, the light strobing and flashing white and red, through the darkness and decay of light comes Roy “The Sorrow” Harlowe, his face shrouded in a bloody hockey mask. Roy makes swift motions as he comes traipsing through the back curtain with a devious manner about his body language. He slowly circles his way around the stage before he slowly slithers his steps down the ramp towards the ring. As he passes by audience members, telling them how he feeds off their sorrows and how it gives him strength. Roy dismisses the peons as he makes it to ringside.
Jessie Love: Approaching the ring from The Winding Road, weighing in at two hundred and twenty pounds!! Roy “The Sorrow” Harlowe!
Roy launches onto the apron with a single bound, kneeling as he serpentines over the bottom rope and rolls onto his back. Sitting up and then kicking up in a very fluid motion. Roy circles his hands over his face, removing his bloodied hockey mask and then revealing a menacing twisted grin on his face with a set of wild eyes glaring fiercely into the lens.
Taylor: What an entrance by "The Chaotic Entity".
Romano: He may have a great entrance but he needs more than that to beat the competition tonight.
"The Song" by Soundgarden begins to drown out the crowd as "Jesus Christ Pose" plays. The house lights are now out as the darkness builds the suspense for the next participant. In a flash of white light just as the lyrics to the song begins Sebastian Villa Lobos is now standing in the blinding light arms fully extended in a full T-pose. The howl of a wolf harrows out as Villa Lobos takes in the electrifying feel of the moment. The light soon fades to a lone pale spotlight following the Luchador as he slowly makes his way to the ring arms still extended, slowly turning to show his oily glistening body in the "moonlight." Finally, he makes his way to the ring, taking his time to climb up the ring stairs and front flip over the top rope. He gracefully steps to the center of the ring where the spotlight has followed him. Taking one more moment to twirl ever so slightly to display is physic.
Jessie Love: Our third contestant in this Fatal four way, hailing from Guadalajara, Mexico, he is none other than the former Prestige Class Champion Sebastian Villa Lobos.
Taylor: Now this guy spooks me, Cassius, you never know who you're getting with him.
Romano: Villa Lobos is a professional and extremely lethal, he can end your career on any given night or he could show you mercy we will see what he does here tonight, Tommy.
The Big Screen comes to life with just static. The static seems to zoom back, revealing water. The picture switches again. A figure stands upon a pyramid, its face shrouded by a Jade mask. It points accusingly, not towards the screen, but at something unseen off to one side. A victim lays on an altar at the top of the pyramid.
On the screen is a close up of an eye. The eye blinks once, twice. Suddenly the lights go out. Suddenly the screen seems to clear, what looks like the moon appears on it. Chanting begins from what seems nowhere.
The stone of the pyramid, black with the blood of thousands of victims. The Priest stood, arms raised to the skies. His shining knife struck deep into the victim who was wearing a mask. The priest held the beating heart of the victim in his hand, blood spurting from the severed aorta. The organ emptied itself on the altar.
The screen next becomes a twitching, undulating impenetrable sea of the darkness.
Lightning reached from the heavens and struck the base of the pyramid, then walked its way up to the altar on which the victim lay, his chest open to the skies. It struck again, enveloping the top of the pyramid and all upon it in a crackling green inferno, the main bolt centering on the victim’s body, the electric shocks sending his flesh into uncontrolled fits of jerking. The priest stood frozen.
The arena drops into darkness as this weird movie is playing out on the big screen. Suddenly pyros explode in front of the big screen, as the fans literally jump from the shock.
Jessie Love: Hailing from Juarez, Mexico; on his way to the ring, the Scion of Huitzilopochtli, it is the dark Luchador, Guardián del Infierno!
A burning phosphorescence enveloped the sacrificial stone. The priest jade mask glowed and seemed to throw out rays of emerald light. He held the still-beating heart in his hand. It was throbbing and moving as if trying to get away, twisting in his grip, slippery and bloody. The knife dropped from the priest’s grasp.
The roving arm of the overhead camera picks out people in the crowd. As they realize they're on the screen they hold the signs higher. Blue strobes cut around the arena as red smoke billows from underneath the grating on the rampway.
The victim on the screen, his body enveloped in the green fire of the sea, stood and took his own beating heart out of the priest’s hand and held it above his head.
Stood at the top of the rampway is a masked monster crisscrossed from head to toe with the scars of a thousand battles. He raises his arms above his head in an age-old gesture of defiance and supremacy as phosphorus flames blast in twin columns to the heavens behind him. "Cascabel" by Chingon starts blaring out.
It is Guardián del Infierno. He slowly walks towards the ring ignoring the boos from the crowd. Behind him is Maria. He passes a camera and stops and looks directly into the lens.
He then slowly steps up the ring steps; step after step, walking with such a purpose. As he places his foot on the ring apron he immediately follows up by thrusting his opposite leg through the ropes, as he lunges into the ring.
Looking around momentarily, he mounts the turnbuckle adjacent to the stairs, resting his left foot on the top rope. With a brief look from side to side, he lowers his hood and gazes around the facility, soaking in the numerous reactions from the crowd. Upon listening to their calls he hops down into the ring and takes off his hoodie and then hands it to ring crew.
Taylor: Finally we will get the match started and these men are all great in their own ways.
Fatal Fourway Match
Greg Adkins vs. Roy Harlowe vs. Villalobos vs. Guardian del Infierno
The referee signals for the bell.
DING... DING... DING...
Roy Harlowe quickly attempts to run at Adkins but is intercepted with a short clothesline by Guardián del Infierno knocking him back against the ring ropes. As Villa Lobos hits Adkins with a dropkick sending Adkins to the mat, Villa Lobos quickly follows up with an armbar. Guardián del Infierno hits Roy Harlow with a couple stiff jabs as he bounces off the ring ropes sending him reeling backward into the corner.
Romano: A lot of action so far these guys are not taking it easy on each other.
Taylor: Of course not, two of these men are Luchas and it's been a fast paced match so far and then you throw in the fact we have a lunatic in Roy Harlow. Then there's the drunken sex fiend, who's always a wild card.
Roy Harlowe grabs Guardián del Infierno by the head and slams him into the corner and begins to give him repeated body shots as Villa Lobos continues to work on Greg Adkins forcing the head of Adkins to turn in ways that it wasn't meant to turn. Roy Harlowe has managed to toss Guardián del Infierno up and out of the ring as he's gotten the upper hand now.
Adkins manages to hit Villa Lobos with a low blow, forcing him to release the hold long enough for him to get away. But unfortunately for him, Roy Harlow meets him with Koppu Kick, sending him straight to the ground nailing the outside railing leaving only Harlowe and Villa Lobos inside the ring.
Taylor: OH MY GOD! I have been waiting for these two to face off.
Romano: Well here it is and I wouldn't count the other two out just yet Guardián del Infierno, seems to be back up.
Villa Lobos and Roy Harlowe start crisscrossing as they run the ropes both men must have the same idea, Villa Lobos drops to the ground tripping Roy Harlowe. Harlowe's face smashing into the mat hard bouncing off of it like a ball. As Roy Harlowe lays there Villa Lobos hits him with a Second Rope Leg Drop instantly turning it into a Boston Crab. The referee slides into position to check on Roy Harlowe and see if he wants to give up.
Romano: Looks like Harlow is telling the referee to get lost.
Guardián del Infierno has Greg Adkins up on his shoulders and drops him onto the timekeeper's table before jumping back into the ring. He runs at Villa Lobos hitting "Mano del demonio" breaking up the Boston Crab and saving the match. Villa Lobos rolls out to the floor as Guardián del Infierno stands over Roy Harlowe looking down at him with a look of pure evil intentions.
Taylor: Did you see that Guardián del Infierno just hit Lobo's with "Mano del demonio".
Romano: Yeah, I think another second and Villa Lobos would have won the match though. Great timing by Guardian.
Taylor: Looks like Guardián del Infierno is setting up Harlow for " Sacrificio a Los dioses".
As Guardián del Infierno lifts up Roy Harlow, he takes a minute to check where Lobos and Adkins are and sees they are both still on the outside. Roy Harlowe manages to escape and nail Guardian del Infierno with "Silent Season" giving him enough time to catch his breath and recoup.
Taylor: SILENT SEASON, SILENT SEASON, SILENT SEASON!
Roy Harlowe doesn't wast any time as he notices Adkins and Villa Lobos starting to stir on the outside and knows it will be mere moments before they are back up. He quickly runs towards the ropes hitting a suicide dive onto Adkins knocking him back into the rail. As the referee is attending to Guardian del Infierno, Roy Harlowe grabs the closest steel chair smashing Villa Lobos square in the back of the head with it knocking him straight to the ground. Harlowe slides back in before the referee sees what has happened.
Romano: I knew this match was going to be wild and these guys have not disappointed.
Taylor: No they haven't, Cassius.
Roy Harlowe sees that Guardian del Infierno, is still down from the Silent Season he delivered earlier, he looks around to the crowd and motions that's it's time to end the match. He climbs the ring post and delivers a "Sunless Solstace" the referee slides into position as Roy Harlowe goes for the pin.
Taylor: No, Harlowe just pulled Infierno up and broke the ref's count.
Romano: This match was over.
Roy Harlowe stands above a fallen Guardian del Infierno, with a crazed look on his face as he laughs. Roy Harlowe reaches down picking up his fallen opponent and delivers a devastating "Dark Void Driver". Harlowe places an arm across the chest of Guardian del Infierno as the referee goes for the three count.
ONE...
TWO...
THREE!
Taylor: It's over what a match Harlow delivered not only "Sunless Solstace" but "Dark Void Driver" and has beaten three of the best tonight.
Romano: Yes he did but let's go to the ring for the official word from Jessie Love.
Jessie Love: Here is your winner: Roy "The Sorrow" Harlowe!
Backstage, the lights are dim in a forgotten corner of the arena. A sole light cast upon the snarling face of Natasha marks it out as the only thing visible on screen. The righteous fury of a scorned woman carries through her voice and the anger and frustration bubbles up as she unleashes a blood curdling scream...
Natasha: RWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!
Natasha: Frank Fletcher, You do realise that your best chance of winning was through keeping my temper under control? That by maintaining a healthy disinterest in whether I should defeat you or not, that by keeping this match merely about titles and distancing any personal elements from the contest would have provided you with your best chance of victory.
Natasha: But no, Frank, no you had to run your little mouth, insult my entire subculture, even imply that I should be burned like a common witch. Frank, the way you present yourself may be reminiscent of 1986 that you are using the language of 1692. Is this the way that the shining happy face of Americana presents itself? Or are you exposing the wicked underbelly of prejudice?
Natasha: For a man who is always cheering and smiling, you are pasting a poorly drawn facsimile of joy on to the snarling face that truly represents modern America. And I see beneath it. I see the dark heart, the coldness to outsiders, the fear and hatred of anything which does not conform. I have never conformed. I have never lain prostrate for the crushing boot of society to trample on and curb stop on to its sidewalk.
Natasha: You, Frank, you want society's misfits, those who stand out from the crowd to bow in submission to the greatness that is mainstream America? You presumptious little moron. Do you want to know why we still exist in subcultures, why we fight the mainstream, why we dedicate our lives to be different? Because the alternative would be to accept the persona that the people who you are attempting to emulate have attempted to force upon us from birth.
Natasha: Frank Fletcher. You do not understand me. You do not understand my kin. You think that Marilyn Manson, a musician that records industiral and alternative metal is goth? That a breakfast cereal with a vampire on the front is goth? That a morality tale about abstinence with a thin veneer of urban fantasy on it is goth?
Natasha: You do not understand me. But you will understand what happens to those who rile me. You will understand pain. You will understand being torn asunder by my savage fury.
You.
Will.
SUFFER!
The lights go dim around the arena. The marching beat of "Our Truth" plays as smoke billows out, lit up by purple strobes. As Cristina Scabbia's instantly recognisable wail sounds out, the lights go back up and Natasha emerges, ghost like, from the fog. Flanked by her husband Mr Murphy, Natasha sashays down the entrance ramp, pausing halfway to throw her head back and scream, loudly. Natasha steps into the ring through the ropes and glares at the referee while she is checked over.
Jessie Love: The following match is scheduled for one fall and it is for the XHF Phoenix Championship. Introducing first, from Point Pleasant, New Jersey. She is the XHF Phoenix Champion: Natasha!
Romano: That Natasha is a fiery phoenix. Kind of fitting considering the belt in her hand. Now Tommy, remember she's listening. Don't do a repeat of last time when you called her a-
Taylor: Yes, Cassius. I REMEMBER.
Derringer's "Real American" rocks the speakers and the fans are on their feet as Furanku Furetcha steps through the curtain; he is wearing a Stetson hat and Letterman Jacket emblazoned with "FF". He proudly holds the American flag aloft and he waves it above his head as he walks the aisle.
Jessie Love: And her opponent. From Pitts... wait, do I really have to pronounce it that way? *sigh* Fine. From Pittsabughu, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 220 Pounds, Frank Fletcher!
Upon reaching the ring, he stands on the apron still waving his flag before stepping through the ropes and handing the flag to the referee, instructing him to take very good care of Old Glory. Removing his hat and jacket, he heads to his corner to start the match.
Romano: Now Furanku has seen fire. He's faced evil and he's gone through it all just so that he can stand in front of Natasha right now for a chance to walk out as champion. He's done it before in the TGK. Tonight, he might just do it once more.
Taylor: But he's supposed to do it this time against Natasha. If that was me, I'd just all but give up.
XHF Phoenix Championship
Natasha© vs. Furanku Furetcha
The referee looks at both wrestlers to make sure they're ready for the upcoming match. He then calls for the bell, the match now officially underway. Furanku Furetcha starts to circle around the ring, trying to keep his distance from an agitated Natasha. The two wrestlers do eventually meet in the center of the ring as Natasha catches Furetcha in the mouth with a forearm smash! She follows it up with a second and then a third. Furetcha stumbles back and tries to recover, but Natasha refuses to give him the space to do so. Natasha then grabs hold of Furetcha and shoots him -across the ring. She tries to lift Furetcha into the air for a tilt-a-whirl slam on the rebound, though Furetcha reverses the attempt and instead sends Natasha crashing to the mat with a headscissors takedown! Natasha tries to pull herself back up to her feet, but before she can, Furetcha bounces off of the ropes and sends her crashing to the mat with a running dropkick! Natasha reverses the attempt and steps toward the middle of the ring to meet Furetcha. She sticks out an arm and attempts a clothesline, though Furetcha is able to duck underneath the attempt. Furetcha bounces off of the ropes and continues to run, instead sending Natasha crashing down to the mat with a handspring back elbow! The fans show their support for Furanku Furetcha as Natasha tries to create space between the two of them before pulling herself back up to her feet. Natasha uses the turnbuckle to speed the process up. Perhaps sensing an opening, Furanku Furetcha charges across the ring and tries to hit Natasha in the corner with a running forearm smash! Natasha then slowly drags Furetcha up to her feet while holding on to his head the entire time. Natasha sends Furetcha crashing to the mat with a sitout neckbreaker that draws a few gasps from the fans. Natasha then hooks the leg and goes for the cover, picking up the...

Furetcha is able to get the shoulder up again! He clutches at her head for a moment while pulling himself back up to his feet.
Taylor: That was a vicious looking neckbreaker, and Natasha keeping that up could put this challenger to bed!
Romano: Furanku needs to get some momentum on his side here, or he's in deep trouble.
Furanku Furetcha tries to create a bit of space between himself and Natasha. Natasha quickly closes the gap between the two of them and grabs Furetcha by the hair. Natasha uses her knees to continue trying to wear Furetcha down before straightening him up. She tries to pull Furetcha into position for the Sweet Nightmares, but Furetcha just barely manages to shove Natasha away from him. Natasha recovers, but can't do anything before Furetcha leaps into the air and hits her with an enziguiri! Natasha just barely manages to remain on her feet but nonetheless stumbles around from the impact. Sensing an opening, Furetcha leaps into the air and delivers a tornado DDT! The fans seem shocked that the match has yet to end. Furetcha briefly turns and looks at the referee. He then grabs hold of Natasha and tries to bring her back up to her feet. Furetcha hits Natasha with a series of quick kicks to try and wear her down a bit. Furetcha then tries to line Natasha up with the ropes so that he can springboard off of them. Before he can, Natasha rushes at him and hits Furetcha in the back of the head! Furetcha staggers and crashes into the ropes. Natasha turns him around and drives her knee hard into Furetcha's ribs. She then tries to get Furetcha into position for a suplex, though Furetcha blocks the attempt. Natasha once again tries to power Furetcha into the air, but Furetcha manages to block the attempt a second time. This time, he shoves Natasha away from her. Natasha recovers and quickly tries to close the gap between herself and the challenger. Unfortunately, Furetcha leaps into the air and catches her in the jaw with a knee strike! Natasha stumbles just enough to give Furetcha the opening he needs! Furanku quickly grapples Natasha and yells out FREEEEDOOMMMMMM as he plants her on the mat with the Freedom Arrow! He hooks the leg...

Jessie Love: Here is your winnner... and new XHF Phoenix Champion... Furanku Furetcha!
Furanku throws his hands up in celebration as he collects the belt, hugging it closely. He starts pumping his fists in the air. The crowd begins to chant... USA! USA! USA! USA!
Romano: I'll be damned. Good for him.
Taylor: It was a close match and Natasha certainly put on a strong performance. But tonight was Furanku's time to shine!
Romano: Just listen to this crowd. They're eating this up! USA! USA!
"Aw, fuck your headphones!"
"Timebomb" by Beck blasts into the arena as Seth Dillinger marches out onto the stage. He pauses at the top of the ramp, taking in a deep breath and smiling as he begins his jog down to the ring. He doesn't seem too interested in shaking anyone's hand as he rolls straight into the ring and goes to his corner, leaning back against the ropes and awaiting the start of the match.
Jessie Love: This next match is scheduled for one fall and it is a First Blood Match for the AWF State of Ohio Championship! Coming in first, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, weighing in at 215 Pounds... he is the State of Ohio Champion: Seth Dillinger!
Romano: Seth Dillinger is here, and he's not quite happy. He's finally one on one against Maverick, the man who stole his belt.
Taylor: The champion effect is the reason why Seth Dillinger is still the State of Ohio Champion, but try telling him that.
The lights go out as "Cathedral" plays through the speakers. As the lights come back, the clock ticking intro ends, and Maverick stands at the stage looking out to the crowd with no expression on his face. He slowly walks to the ring, continuning to look out to the crowd. He gets to the ring and walks up the steps, getting into the ring through the second rope. Maverick walks to the centre of the ring as the lights go out again and the spotlight shines down on him, with his head down and eyes closed. He raises his arms and head up slowly and stretching his arms out as they are raised, as he stops moving he opens his eyes and the lights come back on.
Jessie Love: And his opponent, from Wexford, Ireland, weighing in at 192 Pounds... Maverick!
Romano: Maverick is here, and he's here with the belt. I have to say that I give him props. Being so bold even when wrong.
Taylor: For an irishman, he's quite American. Hah! But yeah, it was announced he's not the champion, but he has that mindset. He has that paradigm. They say dress for the job you want. Well, he's dressed as a champion.
AWF State of Ohio Championship
First Blood
Seth Dillinger© vs. Maverick
As the bell rings, both Maverick and Seth Dillinger stand nose to nose. Maverick obviously the one smirking down on Seth Dillinger and they are ready to beat the living crap out of each other. (I use crap, just in case Alex Horton is still watching and paying attention. Gosh darn him and his legal team!) Anyways, back to the match. The senior referee, Gabe Valentine forces his way in the middle and asks Maverick for the State of Ohio Championship belt, the belt that actually belongs to Seth. He smiles as he keeps his attention to Seth during the transfer, making sure he won't be able to touch it at all. He takes off the belt from his shoulder and takes a look at it for a moment before giving it to the referee. He grabs it and raises it up high for everyone to see. They all gave in amazement before he goes out of the ring so that he can give it to the bell keeper. He goes back in and gives a gesture to the bell keeper, letting him know that the time to begin this match is upon us. The bell rings and Maverick and Seth Dillinger takes a few paces backwards and gets ready for the match that is now ready to occur.
Romano: Now that this unpleasant pleasantries have been finished, it's now ready to begin the match and squash this beef.
Taylor: I'm excited, Cassius. Both of these AWFers are well known and deserve holding this title.
Maverick and Seth Dillinger circle the ring a little bit. This match is shaping to begin the conventional way, about to begin with the standard collar to elbow lock up. There is, of course, tension between these two individuals but this tension is broken as soon as Maverick expresses his lack of respect for Seth Dillinger with a slap to the face. Seth's face is turned to the right with a look of shock then he looks back and quickly spears Maverick to the ground. He immediately throws rights and lefts and does what he can to hurt Maverick and show him that he is not the man that you should disrespect like that. Maverick tries to throw some punches to protect himself but he soon finds out that because he is in the bottom of this brawling, he is unable to fight back. Seth Dillinger is going for the win right now, just hoping to find some blood in Mavericks head but Maverick uses his leg muscles to push Seth Dillinger off, and Maverick rolls over and quickly gets to his feet.
Romano: The champion, Seth Dillinger, quickly went for the win but he can't win like that.
Taylor: Maverick always has a backup plan.
Maverick and Dillinger glare at each other, both breathing heavily. They are taking only a quick moment of rest before they start yet again. Seth Dillinger charges for yet another spear. It fails as Maverick dodges out of the way. As soon as Seth turns around, Maverick picks him up. He goes for a body slam, but Seth slides down behind him. Seth pushes Maverick for the ropes, chest first. He goes for the German Suplex but Maverick uses his free right leg to kick him square in the nuts. Seth Dillinger holds his family jewels and drops to his knees. Normally this would be something that the senior referee would have to end in a disqualification match, but there is none in this match! This match can only end when one of the two competitor sheds blood! Maverick runs towards the adjacent ropes and he runs to the back of Seth. He goes for a bulldog... and slams his head down! With all the power and the connection of head to canvas, the crowd gasps! A nose could absolutely be broken! Maverick turns Seth over to his back but to his disappointment, Seth Dillinger has not bled.
Taylor: Seth Dillinger almost bled! We just almost got a new champion!
Romano: Well Maverick needs to stay on his toes. He can lose at any moment, especially in this fragile match.
Maverick grabs Seth Dillinger and is ready to bring him to his feet but Seth hits his opponent with a low blow! The crowd is shocked as dire circumstances reveal themselves, citing Seth and his low blow, resorting to a dirty move himself. The fist to where the sun doesn't shine causes the former State of Ohio Champion to fall to his knees, just like Seth did not too long ago. Seth follows up by giving Maverick a huge spine-buster! Seth is tired. He's looking to build up from this massive blow. He's out of his groove, but brings Maverick up to his feet. He brings him to the ropes. Seth throws Maverick for an Irish Whip, but Maverick reverses. Seth is sent to the ropes and comes back to Maverick's clothesline. Seth ducks it! He goes to the ropes, bounces back, goes to the opposite ropes one more time, and as he bounces back, Seth Dillinger goes for a spear... hitting right into a big boot from the challenger! Seth Dillinger falls down and holds his face in pain, but Maverick forces his hand away from his face, but still no blood. Maverick actually yells in frustration and he punches his palm in anger as he walks around the ring, rethinking his strategy.
Romano: Maverick just can't get the win.
Taylor: But it's only a matter of time before Seth Dillinger draws blood.
Maverick brings Seth Dillinger to his feet. Right as he does so, Seth Dillinger throws a punch to Maverick, forcing him over a little. Seth Dillinger then brings Maverick down with an Anaconda Vice. Seth Dillinger pulls hard, putting special pressure on Mavericks nose. It doesn't take long before Maverick begins tapping! He actually tapped to the same move that at Clash of the Icons, Jason Justice tapped to! But this is a first blood match and the fat lady doesn't sing until blood has shed. This submission move wasn't meant to be ended by tap out, but rather, by humiliation and blood. Maverick is looking for a way out. He looks the side. He finds the ropes, and grabs it. However, Senior Referee Gabe Valentine has done nothing about it. Again, the only thing that matters is not ring breaks nor low blows, but whether someone has bled. Maverick is digging deep within himself to find an end. He uses his free fist to swing toward Seth. This causes Seth to stop. He rolls over. He gets to his feet and he can just feel the blood ready to come out. Maverick gets up and breathes heavily. He's in pain, but isn't going to falter. Meanwhile, Seth wants the match over with. He wants to walk away, not only as champion, but also with his belt in hand. Seth runs as quickly as he can to Maverick but as soon as he is near, Maverick picks him up and in position for Switchblade! His Sister Abigail Finisher! But wait, Seth wiggles his way out! He then kicks Maverick in the stomach to allow himself the ability to readjust. He goes for his Shawn Capture that he calls Overdose! He sends Maverick over the top rope and to the outside! Gabe Valentine looks down to Maverick, who is still not bleeding!
Taylor: This match is crazy!
Romano: Oooh, and look what Seth is about to do. Things are about to get crazier!
When Cassius Romano said that, Seth Dillinger was reaching underneath the ring. Remember - everything's legal! Seth set up the ladder right next to Maverick. He begins to climb the ladder next to the barely conscious opponent.
Taylor: Is Seth just completely nuts!? Surely, he wouldn't do something like this.
Romano: We both know Seth well enough to know he wouldn't take the safe route.
Seth is about halfway up the ladder when Maverick blinks himself back into reality. He looks up and sees the ladder as well as the State of Ohio Champion making his way up it! That puts a fire deep in his belly and it gets himself off his ass. Seth looks down and finds Maverick jumping up to the ladder on the other side. Seth knows he has passed the point of no return. This match is about to end and someone is going to get bloodied. Maverick shows off his endurance skills as he reaches the top at the same time as Seth. He's also the first one to throw a punch between the two. Seth knows that his nose is already vulnerable, and so he wastes to expense to his energy as he decides to go after Maverick just as hard. Blow after blow after blow and none of these men are giving an inch! Maverick throws a hellacious uppercut to Seth and in response, he sends his head right back down. He headbutts Maverick skull to skull - once! Twice! And a third sends both of their equilibrium haywire. The ladder gets tipped! Both of them are falling from fifteen feet in the air! They fall down and could not hit a worse place if they tried! Both of them go head first to the steel steps that lead up to the ring. The referee looks down and calls for the bell!
Taylor: Who won, Cassius!? Who won!?
Romano: I can't tell! We're on the other side of the ring, but I suspect we'll both know very shortly.
Jessie Love comes into the ring with a microphone in her hand. She cocks her head, slightly perplexed.
Jessie Love: Ladies and gentlemen... The referee has informed me that Seth Dillinger is bleeding...
Taylor: ...That means!
Romano: ...Wait.
Jessie Love: -and so has Maverick. The referee can't make a determination as to who bled first. As a result, the match has been ruled a draw! For the last time, Seth Dillinger's championship advantage is in effect, making him the champion!
Taylor: The last time? What does that mean?
Romano: This really doesn't happen too often, but this is a rule that's been buried deep in the rulebook. Essentially, if a champion fails to defeat their opponent and retain via drawing - the third time it happens, the belt will be vacated.
Taylor: So Seth Dillinger can't draw again.
Romano: Not if he still wants to be the State of Ohio Champion. He's backed into a corner and believe me, Mav's not done yet. But this ends it for Ascension Wrestling Federation: Ultimate Contest of Kings. my name is Cassius Romano.
Taylor: And I'm Tommy Taylor. We'll see you August 10th for Prestige 20! Good night, folks!
The camera switches to Maverick and Seth both being observed by medical personnel before the screen fades to black.
