Top Rung - An XHF World Champion Death Trap RP
*The lights go black as blue and red strobes circle the arena. The speakers blast DT whispering, Do you feel trapped? The Xtremetron flashes: One of a Kind. The opening riffs of "Deny Me" by SOiL blare through the speakers. The tron shows a loop of assorted clips with DT walking the ramp, taunting in the ring, speaking on the mic from his promos, and the text Death Trap! in red bubble letters bleeding off the screen.
"Tell me does your pride bleed when you see me succeed? Is that the gist of your story? Now you had best get used to it Cause I ain't about to quit, And I'm just now getting started."
Death Trap steps out onto the ramp in his Death Trap Feelin Trapped? shirt, a necklace, trademark black bowl cap, and black shades. He has on his black leather pants, black boots, and black wristbands. On his waist is clasped the Xtreme Hardcore Federation World Heavyweight Championship. He hops from left leg to right and back twice and laughs evilly. He cracks his neck and steps forward onto the ramp. He throws a left jab right hook and then a big front kick at the air in front of him, each move setting off a pyrotechnic eruption. He walks to the crowd and stretches on the barricade as the chorus rings out along with verse 2.
"Shame me, claim me or deceive me. You grow sick every time you hear me say believe me. Every time I get one foot up You want to tear it down. You deny me! Deceiver! Every time I get one foot up you tear it down, knock it down, tear it down. Believer! Deny me! I feel your hand on my throat As well as the knife in my back, And the whole time you keep smiling. What is your reason for this? Why won't your hate just quit? Life would better if you weren't struggling"
Death Trap slowly walks down the ramp cracking his knuckles and randomly stopping to mouth off to the crowd, smile and brag. He rubs the belt and throws his hands up in a cross at the base of the ramp and breathes in deep the arenas atmosphere. The tron shows in big bold green letters "Final Judgment will be passed!" as a fireball comes forward and hits and scatters the letters and the screen burns from the center out into a series of clips including one of the X*Crown title match ending in the Final Judgment and DT raising the belt over his head, one of him sending Harry through the brick wall, one of him tossing Reeshi from the Annihilation Complex, and all of his wins over Chris and Curtis Kanyon, however most of the clips are of old ECF victories and it freezes on DT defeating Hardcore Harry and holding up the ECF Title. It zooms in on the ECF Title and lights up saying The legend continues! He slides into the ring and stretches on the ropes as he did before on the barricade. He unclasps the belt and looks at it smiling. He leaps to the middle rope. He looks out over the crowd and then raises the belt over his head and taunts to the crowd. The tron shows clips of him beating on Magnus and eventually his victory and then zooms in on the XHF World Heavyweight Title. He laughs evilly, reclasps the belt, and raises his arms in a cross. The lights brighten. He leaps to the center of the ring and looks off to one side as the tron flashes his picture.
"(Believer!) What's wrong with your world? Doesn't taste the same as mine. Aren't the shades the same as mine? Pain, Agony, Regret, Fear; Just dreams whisked away, taken away. So now does your pride still bleed Every time that I succeed? Now that you know that I'll keep trying, Can your weak mind digest All that I'm feeding it?"
He walks to the back of the ring near the timekeepers table and leans on the ropes, arms crossed. He grabs a mic and begins to speak*
: *Breathes deep ... the boos poor out at him* Well ... I hate to say I told you so ... *boos get heavier* but ... I told you so. Take a look ...a good hard look.*The camera zooms in on his title.*
: That's enough. Take a good look at your new XHF World Heavyweight Champion. It's no like every single person in this arena, wrestler or fan, didn't know this was an inevitable occurance. It's not like you all didn't know from Supremacy 2003 that Death Trap was the rightful XHF Champion. It just took nearly two years for the XHF to finally accept it and not have some pathetic rip off of me. My first fair shot at the title. And look what happened! Here I stand ... Master of Puppets ... and Champion of the World. Here I am, the top rung on the ladder I've been climbing for so long. Here I stand without anyone pulling me down. I stand atop the biggest and most successful federation in the world.*boos*
: You should all bow to me. I am the symbol of XHF. And who better to represent the most dominant industry than the most dominant star in the history of XHF? Well I suppose I have to earn history but over the last five months ... I have been THE man to beat no questions asked. I've basically ended two careers so far. Ask Chris Kanyon what it feels like to be restricted to a wheelchair like he did to Nicole Bass. Ask him how it feels to have met his final judgment and now be unable to do what he loves.*mixed reaction ... we still hate Kanyon.*
: Ask Magnus how it feels to be strapped to a hospital bed with no way to do anything or express feeling. Go ask Magnus who it is that truly is the better man, who made who. Ask Magnus if he'll ever betray or cross the Master of Puppets again!*boos*
: But I digress. I will have a nice long title reign to prove to you all how great I truly am. I will be able to brag about how I was the best champ in XHF History. For now, I have a match to ... not ... worry about. See Red Fusion wasn't content with me beating his ass all over the ring in that tag match. He wants me to once again kick his ass one on one so he can truly say he lost to the best there is. Red Fusion is still not a believer. He still thinks my beating Magnus was a fluke. He thinks it was "the impossible". Fusion ... had you looked at our history together you'd know I'm 6-2 against him. You'd know that it was a distinct certainty that I would take the title from him, the title I MADE him a contender for. Without DT there is no Magnus. (OOC: The match was told to be clean and screwed up so I choose to not compromise my character by talking about DT's weapons, besides ... Magnus got hot sauce from nowhere ... so ... ya). I don't know what it is you were smoking but I did nothing that was illegal. Nobody came down that ramp and beat Magnus down. I did it alone. Me. My skill. My talent. My ability. Death Trap happened to be the better man that night. And Death Trap will continue to remain the better man every night from here on out. The sooner you accept that the better your life will be!*boos*
: I don't cheat. It's not my style. Magnus cheated. I defended myself. That match WAS over from the first bell. From the beginning it was set that Magnus would fall at my hands. And I don't know what you saw but that was clearly Bongo who came out. Didn't you know? Mongo is like ... out of it. He's "apparently" locked in his office with "paperwork". TO me that means plotting more corruption and popping more pills but meh that's just me. But let me just get this straight. You want to fight me, the Master of Puppets, the XHF Champion, the most dangerous man in the business, the career killer ... in a match designed to beat a man to his limits and beyond and leave the loser destroyed... you want to take on Death Trap, the best in the biz, in a Last Man Standing Match? While I don't understand why you seem so bent on destroying your career ... I will happily oblige. I will be GLAD to take down the Submission Champ and leave him a hopeless wreck. I'd love to make you the latest victim of the wrecking ball that is me. There is nothing that would be more fun than to take a lesser foe like you and beat him into submission and knock him out.*boos*
: But ya know I will enjoy beating you even more than I would a normal loser. See I love showing people their true inferiority when they try to make me out as the bad guy. See you have this idea that I stopped you from achieving anything. You have this idea that by some freak act of nature I held you back. And you came out here last time trying to make me seem like the bad guy. You say if you were champ you'd never shut up? I guess that's why we're lucky I'M the champ not you! I personally took a day to revel in my glory, to bask in the light. I celebrated my victory. I took a day to myself to be glad for finally being given the shot I so rightfully deserved. I didn't feel the need to come out here and rub my victory in everyone's faces. Because let's face it ... we all knew it was coming. Since I was robbed back two years ago ... we all knew I was destined to be champ. It just so happened that when I was robbed ... the fans were on my side. But let's get facts straight Red ...*he pauses and waits for the crowd to quiet their boos*
: Fusion ... I didn't hit you while you were down. I went to take care of Magnus and send him a message leading up to the Payperview. But you attacked me from behind. So I took you out and made you cry and tap out like a little helpless child! I made you suffer. You stopped me from making my statement so I made my statement on you not to mess with me. Now that we have that straight ... I don't plan on letting you get me this time. I plan on beating you so bad you'll NEVER mess with the master again. You want to say Cosmo and MGK are champion calibur fine. To say they've deserved MY title for a long time is a plain out lie. They were both X*Crown champs. They both have less time under their belts than me. TWO LONG YEARS I've waited for my rightful spot as champion. From when I was screwed by Reeshi I've waited. I EARNED this belt. I DESERVED this belt. I was basically champ FOUR TIMES and all four times the belt was stolen from me by people out to keep me back. I was screwed four times from the belt I had won! So don't tell me I didn't earn or deserve my shot and this belt. Because you are SORELY mistaken. And really there is nobody who can say I am not the top rung. I've beaten everyone and everything thrown at me these last few months. Not a soul can say they have outdone Death Trap in sheer brutality and success! And to compare me with that VILE PATHETIC FOOL Venom is sheer lunacy. I will be a credit to the XHF and this title. Not like Venom who tried to set his matches like he tried with me. I don't ridicule you lesser men. I just don't think it's right for you to block the deserving fighters ... ie: me from getting the shots by challenging the champ just to get your asses kicked. I don't hold anyone back and besides I JUST won the title. And as far as I know Harry was about as fair a champ as anyone. Mongo is the one who held you all back by constantly coming at him. Mongo AS ALWAYS is the one you are truly angry with.*boos*
: But wait! You beat Rage!!! Rage! Oh my god! You beat a former Ultimate Champion! A man who hasn't been a successful fighter since the first months I was in XHF. You beat a washed up nobody! I am a REIGNING XHF Champion. You can't say beating Rage is equivalent to beating me. Because let's face it. After the show you put on last Wednesday you will NEVER be able to beat me. I schooled you at life nevermind wrestling. You blew Magnus's shot to get a win over me and you lost to me. You tapped out. Mr. Submission Champ. Mr. I don't need to earn a belt, I can award myself one without a fight and never defend! You have no right to criticize me as a champ if you claim beating Rage and being a champ without earning it makes you great. Because let's face it. I am a proven success ... and you ... you are a perpetual loser! You have never done anything of merit. Can you say you have the best record against a man as big as Chris Kanyon? Can you say you've beaten the "almighty" Gravedigger six times? No!*boos*
: You are no force.You are nothing. You will NEVER be recognized as a wrestling legend like me. But you are right about one thing. When this match is done ... everyone will know exactly who Red Fusion is. ... The first pathetic victim of Death Trap's legendary recordsetting title reign, and a man with no future. They will all know you as the first nobody loser who tried his luck and fell at my hands on my trek to glory and honor. Friday will be just like Wednesday. You will buckle and fall under my power. You will be nothing more than a faint memory on XHF's history. Nobody will doubt the greatest champion in history ever again! And Red Fusion ... will be just another fallen body in the pursuit...of...*he pauses*
: Final ... Judgment! ...*Death Trap laughs evilly into the mic before flipping it over his head out of the ring. He raises his arms in a cross as the chorus of Deny Me hits. He rolls out of the ring. He taunts the crowd, arms extended and him spinning, before turning to go up the ramp. The tron rolls another loop of clips of DT exiting the arena, in his corvette, giving the cross over his head, raising the XHF Title over his head after beating Magnus, and the text Final Judgment has been passed. DT gets to the top of the ramp and stops. He looks over his shoulder at the arena, shakes his head and exits. *
