Paddy Malones Irish Pub
700 W Main St, Jefferson City, MO 65101
September 19, 2018
After an interesting yet enjoyable visit with his longtime friend Aaron Ortiz otherwise known as "Homie", he finds himself sitting at the best little pub in Missouri Paddy Malone's Irish Pub. He hasn't had a drink in well over ten years and hasn't even wanted one but the food here is to die for and he isn't here for personal reasons but more for business. As he waits on the guard he met the other day while visiting Homie. He usually doesn't do much when it comes to researching anything for work as he is a man of actions and learning as you go, but this time he has other ideas. he figured since he hasn't worked in over a decade at least a real paying job and he knows absolutely nothing about the guy he's facing or the company that the guy works for he would do a little legwork first besides he has time to waste and nothing better to do.
The barmaid brings him a menu and his Irish cream coffee as he sits there waiting for his guest to show up. He smiles at the pretty young thing as she walks away, she smiles back as she shyly looks away. He picks up his cell phone and begins to play Candy Crush on it as he waits for his food and guest to arrive. Several minutes pass as he takes a drink of his coffee while playing his highly intense game he didn't even notice that the guard from the prison had just walked through the Pub doors. The guard walks over to the table where he's sitting tapping him on the shoulder letting him know he had arrived and said hello to him as he sits down.
The barmaid hurridly walks over handing him a menu and takes his drink order as she is starting to get busy. The two men begin to engage in conversation as they both wait on their orders to arrive.
Eric Chronister
Thanks for coming, wasn't sure if you would.
Guard
Not a problem it's just a little hard to talk at the prison conflict of interest you could say.
Eric Chronister
Yeah, I completely understand so not a problem.
Guard
So what was it you wanted to talk about?
Eric Chronister
Oh yeah right, yeah you know already I'm fixing to be involved at the End of Days tournament that the XHF Network is holding right?
Guard
Of course, that's how I knew who you were.
Eric Chronister
By the way, what's your name? So I know what to call you.
Guard
Right, it's David, David Richards.
Eric Chronister
Cool, well, David. what I need from you is simple you're a wrestling fan I just want to know what you know about this Maverick guy and the company he works for.
Eric Chronister
That's if you have time to chat, and dinner and drinks are on me and at the end of the night, I have three tickets to the End of Days tournament for you.
David Richards
That's awesome dude, of course, I have time I'm off work the next 48 hours so yeah let's do this.
Eric Chronister
That's what I like to hear David, and it's about time my foods here. Thanks, sweetie.
David Richards
Now where to begin? I guess Maverick is a former champion an AWF State of Ohio champion to be exact. I do think he has also held another championship but can't be sure on that I think if I remember right he used to work for a company called Icon Championship Wrestling or something like that and was a tag team champion but that company didn't last long and Maverick didn't make a name for himself until he was signed to the AWF and was recruited into the ICONS by Bobby Barratt "The Prodigy".
Eric Chronister
Hold on a second. Bobby Barratt whos that?
David Richards
Okay if you are going to know about Maverick and AWF you need to know about the ICONS and Bobby Barratt also Jack Diamond as when you face one you face them all.
Eric Chronister
I know who Jack Diamond is he's the XHF Network champion my boss told me about him when I signed my contract.
The barmaid brings Davids food to him along with another Irish cream Coffee Eric as she walks away she asks the guys if they need anything else. David replies with a request for hot sauce she kindly smiles and says it will be just a minute as she walks away.
David Richards
Okay, okay now back to our conversation Bobby Barratt he is a multi-time champion everywhere he has ever been and he is the muscle behind the ICONS. He is the AWF Prestige World champion also and I would almost guarantee if you are facing Maverick he will be around somewhere so watch your back.
Eric Chronister
So consider myself back in prison when I'm in this match.
David Richards
Yeah, that would be safe to say that you would need "Prison Mentality" for this match.
Eric Chronister
Then that's what I will have to do.
David Richards
So Maverick has managed to become one of the top guys in AWF, now most of that may be because of the ICONS. But remember that in wrestling anything can happen at any time and Maverick could win at any time so don't take him lightly and you should never take anyone lightly.
Eric Chronister
I never do I learned that in the prison fighting league.
The barmaid quietly brings the hot sauce and places it on the table trying not to interrupt the guys as they talk.
David Richards
Good, now let's see Maverick is also a member of the tag team called N.A.K.
Eric Chronister
N.A.K. what's that?
David Richards
For real have you been living under a rock or what? N.A.K. are The New Age Killers and it consists of Maverick and his partner from AXW James Raymond. Let me guess you don't know him either.
Eric Chronister
No, I really don't and no I haven't just been in prison for the last decade or so. I really haven't been able to keep up with wrestling.
David Richards
Then how did you end up being a wrestler?
Eric Chronister
I lucked out and had a friend who got me the job. I am not going to turn down a job, man.
David Richards
I don't blame you, okay so I wouldn't put it past him to have James Raymond there either so watch for him also.
Eric Chronister
Yeah, no problem everyone is suspect on that night.
The barmaid brings over the check for the guys and places it on the table and lets them know her shift is about to end and they will be having a new barmaid. He pulls out a ten from his pocket and hands it to her and lets her know it's her tip and he enjoyed her service. David also thanks her as she smiles and walks away.
David Richards
That was nice of you to tip the waitress.
Eric Chronister
Hey, she did a good job and that's how they make their money is by tips. So I tipped he what I thought she deserved.
David Richards
Oh one more thing Maverick he has a mean streak when he wants to and his finisher is called "Lethal Intoxication" and I think he has another one called "Switch Blade" so watch for them.
Eric Chronister
Thanks for everything this has been a lot of help. I'm sure I can probably figure out how to use this to my advantage or at least use it to help me win.
The next shift barmaid brings over another round of drinks for the two guys and introduces herself. Letting them know if they need anything to let her know.
David Richards
Great I know last years End of Days tournament was a complete success, I mean it was AWESOME!!!
David Richards
I watched it on pay per view and loved every second of it. They introduced some cool new members of the network last year so I wonder who will debut this year.
Eric Chronister
I'm not sure as I am not sure who is who. Hell, I barely know who is who in my own company.
The guys sit there drinking their drinks as the crowd starts to show up, the pub is beginning to get packed and the noise is getting louder. He is beginning to get a bit agitated.
David Richards
Yeah but you're still new to this I'm sure once you have been around for a while you will know what to do. I would suggest going online and watching last years End of Days tournament and some old AWF pay per views and shows. to scout your opponent.
Eric Chronister
That would help and it does make sense, cool thanks.
David's cell phone starts to ring he looks at it and holds his finger up towards Eric letting him know it will be just a minute.
David Richards
Hey, bud I'm sorry but that was my wife I have to go but if you need to talk again you have my number call any time see you later.
David stands up and begins to leave, but Eric stops him.
Eric Chronister
Hey, David, you forget something.
David Richards
Huh, what?
Eric Chronister
These!!!
He holds up an envelope with three tickets sticking out of it. he hands it to David as they shake hands. David quickly leaves as and he picks the check up from the table and heads over to the counter to pay the bill.
