It's a little after three in the afternoon as he lays there on his queen size bed relaxing after a grueling day of training for his End of Days tournament match his cell phone rings causing him to wake from his slight slumber. He looks at the caller ID noticing it's an unfamiliar number he allows it to go straight to voicemail as he closes his eyes and heads back to rest.
A few hours later as he wakes up he can see the lights from the street lamps shining through the windows as he checks his watch to see what time it is. He grins as he sees it's about a quarter past eight and he starting to get a bit hungry. He thinks about ordering a pizza as he doesn't feel like going anywhere tonight but as he grabs his phone he sees the notification for the voicemail and decides to check it.

He hangs up not quite sure what to think or who that even was but he really doesn't care as he, dial's the number for information for the number to the local pizza joint. After calling the pizza joint he sits on his bed waiting for his extra large Supreme pan pizza to arrive as watches Prison Break on the television. He starts to wonder what the hell that voicemail was about.
He sits there for a bit as he watches the show and continues to think about it until he jumps up and heads over the computer sitting on the desk in the corner of the room. He hasn't really used a computer too often since getting out of prison and isn't sure what he's doing but he does know just enough to get by as he makes his way to the XHF Network website. After about twenty minutes or so of looking and searching he finally finds the right video post that the guy who left the voicemail was talking about.
While sitting there trying to watch the promo from this guy Maverick he hears a knock on his door, he gets up dashes for the door to answer it. When it opens the pizza delivery guy jumps a bit as he sees the big man rushing at him, he hands him the pizza and takes the money along with a four dollar tip. He shuts the door and rushes back over to the computer while diving right into that supreme pan pizza taking a huge bite as steam comes rolling off of it.
He watches the rest of the promo with little to no interest as it didn't really say much for the guy except show his cockiness and ego, but he isn't one to judge a book by its cover and soon enough they will be in the ring together and he will know what this guy is all about. He grabs another slice of pizza as he opens another page and heads to youtube looking up how to do a live video. After watching how to do a live video, he heads back over to the page for the XHF network to post his own video for a promo for his opponent.

Hey, Maverick so apparently we drew each other in round one of the EOD tournament, yeah I do have to agree with you on something we don't know each other hell I hadn't heard of you or AWF until about a week or so ago. Don't feel bad though I hadn't heard of any of the Icons either or most of the people in the tournament.
He scarfs down another piece of pizza as he sits there he reaches over and grabs a Dr. Pepper out of the mini-fridge opening it up and taking a drink real quick.

Where was I oh yeah, anyways so as I was saying yeah I had applied to a few places due to needing a job for my parole, that's adult problems. I can't help if the owners of the companies I applied for couldn't run a company and closed down. Let's see the first guy just disappeared shortly after applying never even really opened up so not on me. Then let's see the second company which is the one I am representing right now Suzuki Blitz Wrestling the owner likes to take a vacation without notifying anyone so I applied for a new company I thought would guarantee me a paycheck so I could hand my parole officer a check stub when I see him but he didn't even wait for the paint to dry before he walked away. So still none of them are on me cuz.

He leans back as he chugs his Dr. Pepper then chowing down on another slice of pizza as sits there enjoying his meal.

What else did you want to talk about oh my old friend and cellie "Homie"? See him shouting "CHRONIC" that's just him and it's my nickname. See when you have been around someone for over a decade and better than that, friends for a decade plus you tend to get used to things.

What else were you rambling on about in the million ways that you outsmarted me, oh yeah you being the underdog and the underdog always wins and David and Goliath? That's a good one especially since this match is at a biblical-themed event so nice reference, should get points for that.

But I have to break it to you cuz your not the underdog, by what I have been told you're a former champion of some sort, plus you hang with two real legit wrestlers that always seem to cover your back. So I would have to say if anyone is the underdog it's me, besides the size of the dog doesn't matter in a fight it's the size of the fight in the dog.
He finishes up the last of his Supreme pan pizza as he throws the pizza box in the trash next to him. He leans back opening up his shirt as he rubs his stomach as he is completely full. With a smile on his face, he leans forward and belches a long loud belch and begins to laugh.

Just remember that the underdog doesn't always win anyway's, this is the real world and it's not always sunny and bright. The sometimes the big man wins and sometimes the small man wins just depend on who gets that defining shot in during that fight.

Now I'm no expert at doing these live promos or anything this may not have been as long as yours but I heard somewhere that it's quality over quantity or something like that well anyways. My belly is full it's late and Southpark is about to come on so I'm going to end this and I will see you at End of Days.
He begins to close down when he stops.
