King of the woods

My next opponent for the tournament of the End of Days is much like my last opponent. They differ in size, strength, and even color, but they are still similar. They are similar in that I have no idea who they were before we were put in matches together. For this opponent, this human known as Kai, my good friend helped me prepare by showing me what this young man had to say about me. So I watched, I listened, and I watched again.




After deep analyzation of your words you reminded me of someone. Someone I knew a long time ago when I was locked up in the cages. He was a young cub brought into our prison and taken away from his family. All he wanted to do was be king. He thought that he was removed from his jungle to conquer a new jungle. Every day he woke up before the sun rose to survey his jungle. He watched, he learned, he tried to gain allies. He didn’t realize he was no longer in the jungle. He didn’t realize there was no king in this world. He didn’t know that he already lost as soon as he was removed from his home.




He was just a king looking for his crown, and that is you Kai. You are but a young cub and in this tournament you are out of your jungle. You aren’t locked up in prison like the young cub I once knew, but you are out of your element and don’t understand that you don’t belong here. You don’t understand that you are not in your jungle, that you’re not made to be the ruler here, that the prize at the end is not your crown. You aren’t in the jungle anymore, you’re in my woods, and the bears rule the woods.




This is where I hunt. This is where I play. This is where I rule. You may be a young cub trying to be king, but your mission will be a failure. Continue to hunt me, continue to try and find a way to win, but in the end the bear is the alpha in these woods, and I am the biggest bear of them all.
