BIOGRAPHY:
Pat Collins is an avid follower of sports. Pretty much all sports. A native of New York, USA, he never had to wait too long between fixes. His grandfather, an Irish immigrant, took him to his first ball game at the age of three, and Pat was hooked. As soon as he was old enough to travel by himself, Pat went up and down the Eastern Seaboard taking in as many sporting contests as he could - and while he always tried to attend a wide variety of different sports, there's only one sport that didn't have an off-season - professional wrestling. The "every night of the week and twice on Sunday" mentality of pro wrestling meant that it took little to no effort to find a town somewhere that was promoting a card, and Pat took in as many shows as he could.
Pat always wanted to be more involved with sports than just as a spectator, but he knew he never had a future as an athlete ahead of him - a car accident in his early teens left him with steel rods in his left leg and robbed him of any chance (however slim) of playing in a Superbowl someday - so he decided he would do the next best thing, and become the voice of sports instead. Spending a decade in the booth calling minor league baseball games for local TV stations, a chance meeting with a Boston-based promoter led to him taking a leap of faith and getting behind the announcer's desk at a small-time wrestling show. Pat proved to be a natural fit, and found himself in demand across the Eastern states.
In October 2018, Pat was approached by Eddie Mason to front his new promotion, Pro Wrestling Alpha. Impressed by the talent coming out of the UK in recent years, he jumped at the chance and signed on to become PWA's lead announcer alongside Dave Sharp.
