PWA.com Exclusive End Of Days backstage footage
We see PWA interviewer Jaimie Clark as she walks through the backstage area of Croke Park, Dublin. She seems to be in a hurry as the cameraman jogs to keep up with her.
Jaimie Clark: Thank you for joining me for this PWA.com exclusive, we are just minutes removed from PWA's first-ever match at the XHF End Of Days pay-per-view which ended in controversial fashion as the team of Anguish, Kenneth Casper and Mr. America were disqualified when they set about attacking their opponents with steel chairs - I understand that Eric Chronister, Steven Wright and The Mechanic were all brought backstage to the doctor's office not too long ago but the tensions that we saw coming to the surface during the match are now coming-
As Jaimie reaches the door of the doctor's office we hear a lot of raised voices, a cacophony of arguments, and she is interrupted by the sound of something crashing against the door.
The cameraman goes ahead of her and pushes the door open and we see Eric Chronister and Steven Wright, both already struggling to stand, being held back by an assortment of referees and PWA officials. The Mechanic is still trying to keep the peace between the two men, despite his own condition.
Steven Wright: That punch was no accident and you KNOW it!
Eric Chronister: BS! I didn't know it was you - but I should have knocked you out! You didn't care about the team! You blind-tagged in like a moron and almost cost us the match!
Steven Wright: I tried to help you when they were kicking your arse, didn't I? What more do you want? You think I didn't care about the team? YOU were the one that wanted to try and win the bloody thing yourself!
They continue to sling insults at each other until, finally, Eddie Mason pushes into the room.
Eddie Mason: What the hell is all this about? This is precisely what I do not need right now! I brought you guys here to show the XHF Network what PWA has to offer and you two embarrass me and almost derail the whole thing with your bickering before the match even starts! I understand that you both want to be the top dog in PWA and that's great but I put you on the same side to work together, not to fight like children over who gets to go first and all that crap!
The two calm down in Eddie's presence, though it's clear that they both still want to rip the other's throat out, so the crowd of officials separating them keep a tight grip on either man.
Eddie Mason: You two obviously have issues that need to be worked out and do I even need to say, you can work those out in the ring, not back here. Not tonight. November 7th, Adrenaline episode 1 - Steven Wright versus Eric Chronister in the main event. Now I suggest you two put aside your differences until then, at which point I don't care what you do to each other. Got it?
Both men stare each other down before silently nodding their agreement. Wright and Chronister are let go by their respective officials, and they respect Eddie's decree and keep a distance between themselves.
Steven Wright: The main event? You're not ready. Welcome to my level, Eric - you won't last.
Eric Chronister: Your level? Believe me, I've been to some pretty low depths in my life and I'm still a class above you.
Steven Wright: Guess we'll find out on Adrenaline, then. Though we all know the outcome. Or at least, anyone with more than half a brain does.
Chronister ignores the bait. Wright holds out his hand and Chronister tentatively returns the gesture. The two men shake hands, watched over by Eddie, before heading off their separate ways.
Jaimie Clark comes back in front of the camera again.
Jaimie Clark: A landmark match made for the first episode of PWA Adrenaline on November 7th; Eric Chronister and Steven Wright will go head-to-head in the main event as they look to settle their differences, but there could be more than just pride at stake - both men have laid out their intentions to become the first PWA World Champion, this match could well have championship ramifications further down the line. Both wrestlers will surely be going all-out looking for the victory, hoping to take one more step towards becoming our first champion! I'm Jaimie Clark for PWA.com, thanks for watching!
