[Colin Walker is hard at work training for his upcoming match against “Mr America” Keith Eastwood. He is wearing his wrestling gear which consists of a high waisted pair of trunks, long brown boots and a pair of knee pads. A weightlifting belt is hanging up near some weights which tells us he has been lifting, but for now he is doing stretches and squats.]
[PWA’s resident interviewer Jamie Clark walks into the room, she looks around at the equipment and is surprised to see that everything is very dated, not a lot of modern apparatus around.]
[Colin Walker doesn’t notice her at first as she approaches him from behind and taps him on the shoulder.]
Jamie Clark: Excuse me Colin? Jamie Clark from PWA here to see how you’re doing ahead of wednesdays show. Do you feel ready to take on “Mr America” Keith Eastwood?
[Colin Walker turns around and notices her, then he stands up and grabs a towel to wipe his brow, he takes a second towel to wipe his hands before taking her hand and shaking it.]
Colin Walker: Very pleased to meet you miss Clark, and yes - I feel more than ready.
[Walker motions to the room with his hand, showing off the impressive, if out of fashion, array of workout equipment.]
Jamie Clark: I see this gym is a little bit old fashioned, if you don’t mind me saying so. What made you come here rather than using the more modern gyms like the other wrestlers?
Colin Walker: I know PWA provide excellent workout facilities for all of its employees so I hope I don’t come off as ungrateful but I really feel more at home in a place like this. When I was training and going across the country to watch shows I would always find the most old-school gyms I could. I spent a lot of time on the road in the circus and our equipment was always a little run down and ramshackle. So being here reminds me of those good days.
Jamie Clark: That sounds like a good plan as you embark on your wrestling career.
Colin Walker: I think it’s good to have somewhere familiar to come to so I’m not completely overwhelmed by my new job.
Jamie Clark: Your opponent on Wednesday will be in unfamiliar territory “enemy territory” if you like, do you think that will be an advantage for you?
Colin Walker: I certainly hope so. Mr. America is a fish out of water in this country, he doesn’t like the British people and the British people don’t like him. You might say that I’m some what of a fish out of water myself because this will be my first match but I have the skills and heart at my disposal to more than compensate for my lack of experience.
Jamie Clark: Mr. America still hasn’t responded to your comments from a few days ago, do you think that means anything?
Colin Walker: I think it means one of two things, it either means he doesn’t see me as a threat or worth his time or he’s scared of me. Either way that gives me the advantage in our match.
Jamie Clark: Thank you Colin that’s all for now. Good luck in your match.
Colin Walker: Thank you for coming to see me miss Clark. Now, I have some more preparation to do.
Jamie smiles and Walker shakes her hand again, then he turns back to his exercises as he tries to get into top shape to fight “Mr. America” Keith Eastwood in the first episode of “PWA Adrenaline.”
