OOC: apologies if this isn't the same hall the show is going to be in, I had to make an educated guess!
THE SWINDON OASIS
SWINDON, WILTSHIRE
The camera shows a shot of the inside of the main hall at the Swindon Oasis leisure complex in Swindon, the site where the second episode of PWA's "Adrenaline" show will take place on November 21st.
We first see the ceiling of the huge room and the camera slowly pans down revealing that as of now, the hall is empty. Come Wednesday however it will be packed full of fans, sweating and shouting and cheering the heroes and booing the villains of Pro Wrestling Alpha. At the floor level we notice one of the side doors is open and in the door stands Colin "Sky" Walker dressed in street clothes consisting of Converse sneakers, ripped jeans and a dark blue hoody. His hands are resting in his pockets as he looks across the hall. Suddenly behind him PWA's interviewer Jamie Clark comes through the door behind him.
Colin Walker: Did you know the band Oasis named themselves after this place?
Jamie Clark: I didn't. Did you know the shows not until Wednesday night?
Colin Walker: I did. I just like to see the place before everything's set up.
Jamie Clark: Another hangover from the circus?
Colin Walker: Yeah. I'd always pitch in setting up the site, get the tent up, stuff like that. I always found it fascinating to see the "before and after" and all the work that went into putting on a show. Wrestling might be a completely different world to the circus yet it's not entirely, you know what I mean?
Jamie Clark: I think those two worlds are a lot more similar than people realise.
Colin Walker: So just imagine, this place is empty now, it's so quiet you could hear a pin drop. But on Wednesday it'll be packed. Lights all across the ceiling, the stage and screens set up right over there, everyone behind a huge curtain waiting to put on a show and in the middle of it all, the ring. We are the lions, the clowns, the ringmasters. It's just like a circus.
Jaime Clark: Certainly. So tell me, your first match didn't go the way you wanted it to - you put up a good showing but ended up losing to "Mr America" Keith Eastwood. In the next show, you're actually in the main event but it's against Anguish. How do you feel about that?
Colin Walker: I feel great!
Jamie Clark: Great? Didn't you hear me say you're facing Anguish?
Colin Walker: Oh I know. Anguish is quite the competitor, an eighteen year veteran, former bodybuilding champion, former wrestling champion. I might have lost against Eastwood but you said it yourself I put up a good showing and that's exactly why I come to work. I come to give the people their money's worth and I'm not under any illusion that I'm going to come in and overpower somebody the size of Anguish or Mr America or Eric Chronister. I might well be the smallest guy on the roster so I've got the deck stacked against me. I lost against Mr America but the important thing is I learned a valuable lesson that all the wrestling tuition in the world can't buy and that's how to get the fans behind me and use their support to my advantage. I may well lose agin to Anguish, especially if he's got this Casper guy in his corner, but I'm going to go out there and give it my best shot and that's all I can do. I'd be lying if I just turned round and told you "well you know something brother, I'm gonna take Anguish and bend him and break him and make him tap out!"
Jamie Clark: So you're saying that you've got no chance of winning?
Colin Walker: Haha no I never said that. There's always a chance that I'll be able to roll him up and take him by surprise to get the fall. Hes got power and strength on his side but I've got speed and agility and of course a lot of heart. I may beat him, I may lose, but at the end of the night I'm going to have achieved at least two things. The fans are going to go home satisfied at seeing a spectacular show courtesy of yours truly, and management are going to be happy they made the choice to give me a chance in the main event.
Jamie Clark: Thank you Colin, I'm sure after watching you on the last show that you'll out on another great performance wherever the result.
Colin Walker nods and thanks Jamie and she leaves him again, as he continues to look out across the hall. The camera pans back up to the ceiling high above and fades out.
