APPEARANCE:
Spence is a big lad. His frame seems as wide as he is tall, but for such a big powerful looking guy out of the ring he comes across approachable and modest. His build is athletic, although some would say “he has muscles on muscles” they don’t look forced or enhanced with steroids in anyway they look as though they’ve be gained through hard work and grit. Attire wise, well within the ring he’s old school. He dons black boots, black trunks and black elbow pads. Out of the ring he can count himself lucky. He’s one of those guys who seem to look good in anything, from leather jackets to scruffy gym gear all the way to fully tailored cheque suits! He tends to look good in them all.
Spence always wears an armless hoodie with the hood over his face on entering the ring, this usually gets thrown into the crowd following his entrance.

BIOGRAPHY
Spence started in this industry nearly 30 years ago. He was just a tall gangly fresh-faced kid back then who went looking for trouble and often found it. He was introduced to the world of wrestling by his close buddy Scott Stone who was a third-generation wrestler and knew Spence was fairly handy with his fists so thought why not give him a shot and form a tag team. Spence trained under Scott Stones grandad the legendary Micky Stone and took the first steps of his 29-year journey. The pair jostled around within local federations before being picked up by the World Wrestling Alliance as a tag team, they were called “The SS” and given a god-awful Neo Nazi style gimmick. Although the given gimmick and out of the ring shenanigans were embarrassing, within the ring they were a revelation. Both possessed great strength and speed coupled with Old Micky Stone’s ring knowledge they dominated the tag team division and became champions within a month. They were unbeatable for such a spell that they began to embark on solo careers. The gimmicks changed with the wind as was the way back then and Scott Stone’s solo career took off like a rocket, he went on one of the longest winning streaks in history and became an unstoppable force leaving Spence behind.
By 22 Scott Stone became the youngest Grand Slam Winner in W.W.A history having won the World Title the last belt his was yet to hold while Spence then 19 won his first individual title “The Continental Championship.” The Tag Division held no interest to the pair and they drifted apart only tagging together on vary rare occasions to appease particularly difficult crowds.
As Spence turned 21 his and Stone’s relationship was starting to show signs of strain. Stone was an ever-present figure at the top of the W.W.A mountain and Spence was starting to feel the twinge of jealousy. Spence believed he was long over due a shot at the World Title. Before long the seeds of a feud were planted, and it quickly turned into a particularly long and bitter feud. The promises of title shots were made and never realised and matches booked but never fulfilled. Depending on which side of the camp you sat it was Stone avoiding Spence or it was Spence posturing but knowing he didn’t stand a chase. The longer the feud went on the dark it got with both wrestlers crossing the line on serval occasions. Eventually it happened, at 25 AJ Spencer went up against Scott Stone for the W.W.A title. It was reportedly one of the greatest matches eye witnesses had ever seen, the pair gave it everything, no weapons were used but the ring was still a wash with blood, sweat and tears. And as the dust settled Spence was the one standing with the Championship raised high. He had done the impossible and stopped the Stoppable Force.
Stone soon left the W.W.A for pastures new and Spence continued to defend his title for 2 further years before the company was forced to fold. In its last hurray the W.W.A recalled all legends to take part in a tournament to be crowned “The Last Champion.” The tournament went on and before too long it was apparent what the final would be “AJ Spencer vs. Scott Stone the rematch.” It was another bloody affair with no love lost between the pair but on that occasion, Stone came out on top and was forever known as “The Last Champion.”
The following years saw Spence become somewhat of a journey man traveling throughout the world competing in numerus federations and held various titles where ever he went, his ability to hold audiences with his mic skills along with his ever-growing physic and in ring skill meant he was a sought-after commodity with federations often fighting with each other for him to appear on their card. He had some great feuds and great matches where ever he went but never really rekindled what he had at the W.W.A and always felt as if something was missing.
At 40 years old and having had more gold draped on him then Mr. T, Spence decided to hang up the trunks and call it a day. His career had been good to him, he had suffered only a few major injuries and had earned more than enough to retire very comfortably. He had a whirlwind romance and a daughter within a few months of retirement but family life was never for Spence, before long him and his wife split. She took the lion’s share of his money and he went down to seeing his little girl once a week to once a month as the years went by.
Spence moved from job to job over the next five years flipping from security to personal trainer and even gave wrestling coaching a try. It was the latter that rekindle the fire inside. He was in all a terrible coach, he lacked the patience’s and skills to pass on his knowledge and experience to the next generation but as he saw “youth” coming through he thought to himself “I’d tear that boy apart in the ring.”
So he trained. Got himself back down to fighting weight and well…?
Here we are.
