Biography
Real Name: Christopher James Parsons
Birthdate: November 5, whatever year makes him 26 (Parsons doesn't age)
Hometown: Las Vegas, NV
Height: 6' 6'
Weight: 253 lbs.
Nicknames: The Nightmare
Status: Heel
Entrance Music: 'Cocky' by Kid Rock
Information:
Wrestling Style: Brawler, Judo/Jiu jitsu base
Set Up Move: The Vegas Hangover (Parsons steps off one of the kneeling opponent's knees and quickly applies a triangle choke, occasionally driving a knee into the opponent’s head as he applies the hold. )
Finisher: The N.A.P. (Technically known as a back to back double underhook piledriver, Vertebreaker or a Kudo Driver, The Nightmare After Party or N.A.P. is executed from a position in which the opponent is standing behind the wrestler, the wrestler underhooks his/her arms under the opponent's arms. Then the wrestler twists his / her body around so that the wrestler is facing the ground and the opponent is standing with his / her back resting against the wrestler's back. Then the wrestler stands while the opponent is in an upside down position while both the opponent and the wrestler's arms are still hooked and then the wrestler then drops to a sitting position. Another way to get the opponent into the position is to approach a standing opponent from behind, hook the opponent's arms, bend forward under the opponent, and then rise up, raising the opponent upside down. This technique is extremely dangerous, as the receiver's arms are restrained and his / her head is not placed between the wrestler's legs, giving him / her little to post against. The move was banned by World Wrestling Entertainment in April 2003, except for in cases where the wrestler received special permission to use the move.)

Chris Parsons...one of THE top prospects to ever hit the independent wrestling scene. With 7-8 years experience at the age of twenty four; he had every possible characteristic an owner could want. He was young; had size, speed, strength, charisma, understood ring psychology, and although he was prone to a smash mouth, brawling style...unlike most his size, he could actually wrestle if he had to. A 'Nightmare' for any opponent for certain.
Why then, have you never heard of him? It's simple...he has been blacklisted from almost every known organization in professional wrestling...why?
That answer is simple too; he didn't get his nickname in the ring.
Not only is Chris phenomenally talented, but he's notorious for being phenomenally difficult to deal with as well.
Rumors, most of them true, have chased him everywhere he went. The first and one of the more notable 'incidents' happened just four months into his professional career.
It was in Poughkeepsie, NY in a small stadium, maybe two hundred and fifty people had come out to see NYCW's stale and aging performers. A seventeen year old touted as the next 'phenom' was cutting his teeth against a veteran easily ten years past his prime.
Before the match the young rookie approached the old pro for advice, explaining he was a fan of the old timer his whole life and offered several fresh spots for their match. Taking the suggestions and feigning sincerity, the old pro assured the rookie that he'd 'make him look good.' Little did anyone know, what followed would be the spark that lit the flames of a troubled young man's burning soul.
During the match, the 'veteran' pounded the kid without mercy. The kid attempted to work through it and tried to reason with the old veteran, but there was no hope.
Feeling threatened after hearing he was to put the kid over and that it would be a seventeen year old 'punk' who would eventually retire him and claim his title, he decided to make sure the kid earned it.
The beating continued until the kid dropped to the outside, the poor 'referee' checked on the kid to see if he was alright. His eye was swelling and a goose egg was forming on the side of his head, but he told the ref he could continue. Then the old man went too far...
While in a lock up the old man whispered, 'I see your mom's in the front row boy. Her tired, old pussy how you got your job?' Words he'd come to regret.
The next time they locked up, the kid grabbed the right wrist of the old man with his left hand and the left strap of the old man's 'doublet' wrestling tights with his right. Dropping to his back and kicking out with his right leg, the kid performed a textbook Judo sacrifice throw and was rolled over into a dominant side mount position before the old man had time to think, let alone react. Dazed by a couple quick elbow shots to the side of the head, soon the match was over, the old man's arm was broken and a reputation was beginning to form.
Shortly after Parsons would meet the one person he'd call a friend, Logan Omari. Omari and Parsons knew each other from days on the independent circuit in Canada together. Back then 'The Barracuda' and Parsons were a promising young tag team, but Parsons just couldn't hold it together. One night, during a singles match, Parsons refused to put over his opponent, a mediocre performer who only had a spot because he had connections. Instead Parsons laid a severe beating on the man, who turned out to be the owner's son, until the young man agreed to the 'new finish'.
By the time he reached backstage, his termination papers were already printed and ready to go, but Parsons couldn't leave without leaving a 'parting gift.'
Most of the locker room assumed Chris had gone to beg for his job, only to be left shocked when the young man came out from the office shaking out a pain in his right hand and saying 'someone bring that asshole an ice pack and an aspirin, the old son of a bitch's gonna need it.'
After that night, many other such 'incidents' would follow, most of them unprovoked. Chris had a chip on his shoulder and a hair-trigger temper, but that was that night 'it' started. Soon anywhere he went, wrestlers called him 'nightmare' behind his back, referring to his quick temper, which often lead to rash decisions, 'a nightmare waiting to happen' they said. Before he knew it a few years had passed and no serious promotion would touch the troubled young man with a ten foot pole. Any organization he sent tapes to said the same thing 'Sure, he's talented, but he's too much trouble.' Finally starting to control his anger, he thought he had burned all of his bridges. He thought his wrestling career was over. Worse yet, he thought he might end up as a footnote, worse than a has-been; a never was.
But that wasn't the case. I young competitor named 'D' needed a training partner and Chris was exactly what he was looking for, someone more experienced than himself.
The enigmatic young competitor even promised he'd get Chris a job competing again if he could just show some control.
But men like Parsons are never known for their patience...
Enter Jake Slade...whom at the time had business with Parsons' employer...the offer was simple...Parsons would change jobs...he'd work for Slade...as a 'personal contractor'.
Parsons spent many months handling Slade's dirty work and making a good living doing it. However all good things must come to an end.
Slade eventually no longer needed the 'services' he had hired Chris for. A fat cheque soon ended the Nightmare's employment, but this time Parsons had listened and learned...
He now had money, something he wasn't used to...next on his list would be the fame he felt he had been cheated out of by promoters too stupid to see that Parsons isn't just 'as good as he said he was'...he is unlike any other performer out there...ruthless on a level that would make Satan himself blush...
Parsons was a member of the original XWZ roster, and as part of The Inglorious Bastards, a constant pain in the ass of XWZ owner Joey Lazarus. After the shut down of XWZ, Parsons Drifted to MEW where he essentially ran through their, less than impressive roster before leaving due to boredom.
Then came a short run in 2CW, where Parsons started with multiple wins before leaving quietly due to ‘personal issues’.
Parsons resurfaced in the Atlanta based GCW, Gate City Wrestling quickly bringing his flair for the unexpected with him in his debut match. Parsons refused to tell anyone who his mystery partner would be for his debut tagteam encounter saying 'you'll find out when everyone else does.'
The partner turned out to be Genesis mainstay Kintaru, who promptly turned on Parsons in typical fashion after the match was thrown out by the ref and Kintaru and Parsons had left their mark on Twice Nightly and Adam Van Slyke.
In the comiing weeks Parsons seemed to target all of GCW, including its management team; Parsons former employer Jake Slade, and his business partner David Sinclair after they used 'The Nightmare's' old friend and tagteam partner attack Slade's rival Twice Nightly, causing a disqualification and ousting Parsons from the GCW Championship tournament in the process.
As always, Parsons was up to something...bigger. Feigning a robbery of the GwF Championship and the kidnapping of David Sinclair's estranged wife and the daughter GCW announcer Terry Diamond. Parsons used the moment and a heartfelt speech from Sinclair to have Diamond, the last General Manager of GwF, declare him the GwF World Heavyweight Champion.
For the love of his child, Diamond agreed...only to have Sinclair turn on him and the steel cage lower. Trapping the retired legend in the cage with one of today's most dangerous stars and a rapid hyena waiting to pick the bones in Sinclair. Parsons held the World Championship of GwF until a title unification match that saw Frank Samson become the undisputed champion.
Following the unification, GCW fell on hard times and eventually closed its doors, possibly due to the constant harrassment complaints generated by Parsons' presence, though more likely due to his enormous contractual demands.
Spawning from the ashes of GCW, came Riot Star Wrestling. Carrying his issues with Rob Riot, amoung others, in this new promotion, Parsons would be the first true heel in company history.
Now some five years later; Parsons finds himself having been to war with almost every relevant name in company history.
Though his current battle with RSW’s reigning majority shareholder Armand Con Krauss has cost him more than he could have imagined, the now one eyed ‘Nightmare’ appears to be finally shaking off the months of torture and abuse suffered at the hands of Von Krauss and his depraved associates.
His list of accolades in the ring perhaps exceeded by what he has been able to accomplish outside it. As a minority shareholder, Parsons has proven to be a wild card. Can Parsons recapture the magic that made him instrumentalist RSW’s early days?
Time will tell.
