I'd like propose a change for next year's awards if others are in agreement. Instead of everyone sending in their nominations and then voting on that, I think we could do it a better way. A way that remembers everyone from the year gone by.
For each category, perhaps we can do it fed by fed. Example; AWF admins make a list of every champion, underdog, most improved, most likely to win etc and post it up. That way everyone is included and it's done by the admin team that see everything, not people from other feds or newly arrived faces. Say maybe the top 5 from each category.
Those are then sent to the Network Admins who post the nominations to be voted upon be everyone. Or, voted by the fed admins only, either works. That way every fed is included, every champion considered, every new face and improving character, everyone likely to win and so forth. It's fair across the board.
As for OOC that can stay the same as it works fine. Maybe just past winners can't win twice or something. Another thing- could we start an XHF Hall of Fame? Or if we have one where is it and what am I not in it yet goddammit.
What would you think of those suggestions?

So we can absolutely list every champion, but for the others, I'm not sure how that works. A list of champions is objective. But for who has been an underdog isn't so subjective. For example, Raiden was nominated as most underrated and I was considering voting him for that but I didn't because it's not that the general consensus is that Raiden is bad, it's just more that despite his greatness, he didn't win gold.
But if you're suggesting each individual fed makes their nominations and we'd get nominees from that, I could entertain that as well, with the caveat that we would also allow the network admins to do the same, considering we have great wrestlers who aren't part of a fed (like Shogun-Tron and Jeffrey Viper).
I do believe the XHF Hall of Fame is actually in the works and spoken about. I spoke to it with Mongo a month or two ago and we used to actually have one.
The issue is it's hard to find and I'm not sure we actually know who's been in. Also, I'm not exactly sure some are even reachable.

What I'm thinking of is this;
AWFs Champion of the Year -Seth (Prestige/ X*Crown) -Bobby (Prestige/ X*Crown) -Danny (Prestige) -Mav (Midwest) -Jack (X*Crown)
Etc. Listing all champs and what they won. Maybe we could even list their reigns too or something. It'll take more time by the admins but, if we have an accurate past champions list it would be easy.
As for Underdog, Most Likely to win Gold, Most Improved that is all down to the admins. Im sure between each fed the admin team can decide on five nominees that fit the bill. Sure between all the feds it'll make the awards longer, but it means that everyone is considered and included. And despite your characters nickname, titles won't be subjective to one or two people.
I agree with an Independent section too, to include the likes of those current floating. Based on writing alone though, the Network Admins deserve an awards for their efforts regardless, maybe a note of recognition in general.

The awards themselves are unofficial and always have been. I think they're more trouble than they are worth. That's why people who want them run them
An HoF from an official capacity might be in the works. But 1. They'll be unattached from other awards and 2. Would be for XHF guys. The XHF is in its 10th active year, this is only 2 or so for thr Network. I don't like the idea of making relatively new guys hall of famers. You don't see WWE giving Mustafa Ali an HoF for a breakout year, do you?
