Sunday February 24th
The XHF Arena
Minnesota
Prescott: Good evening folks and welcome to Diamonds are Forever!
Blaylock: The Icons knew that there was only one place they'd want to hold this event and that's back here in Minnesota! Home of the federation they met in and home of the ICW World Heavyweight Championship!
Prescott: The very same Championship that Jack Diamond has put on the line tonight. We're lead to believe that the ICW Championship, the title Bobby and Jack fought so many wars over is now to be made part of the X-Crown in exchange for Jack putting it up for a shot! These two have been known to tear strips off each other, how will it end tonight?
Blaylock: Moving on from that, we have a STACKED card tonight! ICW alumni Maverick is taking on JFK for not only pride, but a spot alongside him in the Icons! JFK wins? He becomes a member of a pretty exclusive club!
Prescott: We also have tag team action as fellow alumni Dylan Black defends his XHF Tag Team Championship with....His Dad?...Against both the Arrogant Violent Assholes and The Nihilists!
Blaylock: Hey, does Dylan look different to you?
Prescott: Now you mention it, he does! Did he grow his hair?
Blaylock: Danny Ray goes one on one tonight with MGK... Who come to think of it also looks a little familiar! That one is sure to have great match written all over it!
Prescott: Then as a final bonus, the top two XHF Federations have sent their Champions across to go one on one in a special exhibition match! Chris Card of AWF takes on the undefeated Anthony Caffrey of AXW! This promises to be a hell of a card! Welcome to Diamonds are Forever!!
Pyro erupts around the arena as "Diamonds are Forever" by Kanye West plays. Some fans sing along, while the rest cheer for their favourites as the arena continues to light up from the fireworks.
Prescott: The first match we have is an AWF showcase match with "The Family Man" Danny Ray, of ICW fame, taking on MGK.
Blaylock: This MGK guy has something about him that is familiar, I'm looking forward to this match.
The lights go out as "Family Man" by Craig Campbell starts to play. A rainbow of different colored lights come back on flashing throughout the arena. The Family Man walks down the aisle shaking hands as he heads towards the ring. He slowly walks up the ring steps as he looks out among the crowd waving as he enters the ring and stands in his corner.
Scarlett LaDawn: Introducing first, The Family Man... DANNY RAY!!!
Prescott: Danny Ray has fallen on hard times recently, and tonight it appears he’s going to try to do well by his family by bringing home the bacon as a professional wrestler once again.
Blaylock: As noble as that is, he’s got a hell of an opponent to get through first!
Scarlett LaDawn: And his opponent, MGK!!!
"Throat Full of Glass" by Combichrist begins to play over the speakers, beckoning a sudden eruption of cheers from the XHF audience. As the vocals to his theme kick in, MGK makes his way out from behind the curtain. He stands at the top of the stage for a moment, briefly scanning the audience, his eyes flickering with energy and determination. After a beat, he slowly begins to walk towards the ring, holding a proud fist up high above his head. He stops near the ring and lowers his arm, then walks around the ring to the stairs and jogs up to the ring apron. He turns around once more to face the crowd, a small grin on his face, then enters the ring. He walks to the center of the ring and drops down to one knee, as a green spotlight covers him in a pose that causes the fans to cheer even louder at the "iconic" imagery. Closing his eyes, he becomes motionless for a moment as the chorus of the song plays throughout the venue. After a moment, he leaps up to his feet and beats his chest with enthusiasm as the normal lights in the arena come back on. MGK then walks over to the nearest turnbuckle, and leans into the corner casually, awaiting the match to start.
Prescott: I'm not sure how to feel about this guy. From what I've seen, one minute he’s Mr. Nice Guy, the next he’s out for blood.
Blaylock: Well good guy or bad guy, MGK has proven himself to be a legend in the XHF Network!
DING!! DING!!
The bell rings, and the crowd cheers as this match is underway! MGK and Danny Ray begin to pace the ring, not daring to take an eyes off of each other. After a few moments, Danny Ray walks to the center of the ring, and challenges MGK to lock up with him. Smirking with an air of confidence, MGK obliges, and the two men lock out in a test of strength, jousting for position. After a short struggle, the larger and stronger Danny Ray shoves MGK across the ring. MGK rolls through and gets up, no longer smirking. Danny Ray nods his head and says “I’m ready for this.” The two pace a little more, until they once again lock up. This time MGK is quick to spin around Danny, getting him in a rear waist lock. Danny Ray is able to struggle is way into a counter, slipping behind MGK and getting him in a waist lock of his own. MGK struggles, but it’s no use, as Danny Ray is able to slam him down to the mat. Showing technical prowess, Danny Ray is able to lock in an arm bar, but MGK uses his maneuverability to lock his legs around the neck of Danny Ray, forcing him to break the hold. Both men release each other and are quick to their feet as the fans cheer at this unexpected technical display by Danny Ray and MGK.
Prescott: Impressive start to the match by both men!
Blaylock: Especially Danny Ray, who thought a big guy like that could move that fast?
For the third time now the two men lock up, this time with MGK quickly reverting to a drop toe hold that takes Danny Ray down. MGK quickly rolls forward and is able to get Danny Ray in a headlock before he has a chance to recover. MGK wrenches and cranks on Danny’s neck, but this early in the match Danny still has plenty of strength to go around, and begins to rise up to his knees and eventually his feet, despite MGK trying to lay some of his weight onto the Family Man. Danny shoves MGK off of him and into the ropes, and is prepared when MGK returns, hitting the Undisputed Icon with an arm drag. Both men again jump to their feet, this time with MGK getting the slight edge in terms of timing, leaping into the air and hitting Danny Ray with a dropkick.
Danny rubs his jaw as he climbs to his feet, staring a hole through MGK. MGK smirks and says “Next time I’m gonna kick you harder” and Danny replies “We’ll have to see about that.” The two men appear to attempt a fourth lock-up, but this time MGK appears to be faking Danny out, as he instead kicks him in the stomach. MGK then takes off into the ropes, but when he comes back for a clothesline, Danny Ray is able to duck the attack, and spins around in time to deliver a hellacious clothesline from hell to MGK! The fans cheer as Danny doesn’t give MGK a chance to catch his breath. Danny lifts MGK up to his feet and delivers a scoop slam to the XHF legend. He then bounces off the ropes, and delivers an elbow drop straight to the chest of his opponent. Danny gets to his feet and smiles for a moment, taking a small opportunity to acknowledge the fans.
Blaylock: Ray needs to stop worrying about what the fans think and keep his eyes on the prize!
Prescott: As true as that may be, there’s nothing wrong with a competitor showing appreciation to his fans.
After a moment, Ray turns his attention back to MGK, grabbing him by the tights and pulling him to his feet. He delivers a stiff right hand to MGK, and then another, and another, until MGK is sent reeling, leaning his back into the ropes. Danny Ray delivers an irish whip to MGK, and follows it up with a swinging neckbreaker. At this point Danny Ray quickly goes for the pin.
ONE!!
TWO!!!
KICKOUT BY MGK!!
Prescott: Ray had to know that wouldn’t be enough to put MGK away!
Blaylock: Not this early!
Danny gets to his knees and takes a deep breath, although he doesn’t seem surprised that MGK was able to kick out of the move. Instead it seems as though Danny may just be trying to force his opponent to spend extra energy kicking out, rather than gaining time to recover. Danny lifts MGK up, and deliver an elbow to the back of the head, and then clubs him on the back with a big forearm. Danny appears to attempt to finish the match early, as he puts his hands to the side of his head and shouts “Nap time!” He then gets MGK in position for a DDT, but MGK quickly slips behind Danny Ray and rolls him up into a school boy pin! The referee once again counts, this time for MGK’s pin attempt.
ONE!!
TW- NO!!
KICKOUT!!
MGK wastes no time in releasing Danny Ray from the school boy position, running back into the ropes, and leaping forward at Danny, this time connecting with a clothesline. Danny Ray is up to his feet again, as MGK attempts an Irish Whip. Danny Ray, being heavier and stronger, is able to reverse the Irish Whip, but MGK reverses it again, and it is Danny Ray who bounces off the ropes this time, only to be met with a twilt-a-whirl backbreaker. With Danny Ray’s history with back issues, this proves to be an impactful move. Wiping some sweat from his face, MGK helps Danny Ray get to all fours, before delivering some punches to the back and neck of Danny Ray, and adding an exclamation point by dropping an elbow right into the spine of Ray. The Undisputed Icon gets to his feet and looks around at the crowd, who is giving him a bit of a mixed reaction although the fans seem to enjoy both of these fierce competitors. Shrugging, MGK pulls Danny Ray to his feet, and is able to lift him onto his shoulders for a Death Valley Driver! He hits it! However, MGK doesn’t go for a pin.
Getting up onto his knees, MGK takes a deep breath, and then climbs to his feet, before stepping backwards up onto the turnbuckle middle rope. He beckons for Danny Ray to get to his feet, and after a moment, grabbing his back, Danny does make it up. MGK jumps off the middle ropes attempting a clothsline, but out of NOWHERE Danny Ray breaks him in half with a Spear! Danny goes for the pin!
ONE!!
TWO!!
TH-NO!!
MGK KICKS OUT!!
Prescott: Woah! Where did that come from?
Blaylock: Knowing Danny Ray and the fact that he’s doing this for his family, it probably came straight from the heart!
Danny Ray declares “Time Out!” and crawls onto the back of MGK, before locking in his camel clutch submission, indeed called Time Out! MGK is unable to cry out in pain but the expression on his face clearly indicates that he is indeed suffering this move. However, both men are positioned close enough to the ropes that MGK is able to grab the bottom rope, forcing Danny to release the hold. Danny gets up, shaking his head. He decides to perhaps attempt the move again, but this time he grabs MGK by the leg, trying to pull him to the center of the ring first so that there will be no escape for his opponent. However MGK begins to kick Danny Ray in the face, once, twice, three times, just enough to shake The Family Man away for a moment. MGK gets up, and runs at Danny Ray, but Danny has enough awareness to side-step MGK, and throws him to the outside of the ring! Danny Ray looks around at the cheering fans, and then decides to go for it! He bounces off the ropes, and leaps to the outside of the ring with a suicide dive onto MGK!
Blaylock: I can’t believe my eyes!
Prescott: Believe it, Danny Ray is a hell of an athlete!
The fans are going crazy at the athleticism and perseverance of Danny as he grabs MGK by the hair and rolls him into the ring. Danny slides into the ring himself, and waits for MGK to get to his feet. When MGK rises, Danny kicks him in the gut, and positions him for his finishing move, The Sitter! However MGK is able to drop down, swing around Danny, and deliver another school boy roll up! This time, MGK doesn’t go for a pin however, and instead waits for Danny Ray to turn around, right into a superkick! MGK hits the move and collapses onto Danny Ray, and the referee counts.
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR-NO!!
DANNY RAY GETS HIS FOOT ON THE BOTTOM ROPE!!
Blaylock: That was pure luck!
Prescott: Luck or not, this match isn’t over yet!
The referee is forced to stop the pin count, as MGK gets to his knees and shakes his head in disbelief. He tries to pull Danny Ray to his feet, but out of nowhere, Danny is able to hoist MGK onto his shoulders, and locks in his torture rack submission, Family Time! This is the move that Danny Ray nearly tapped MGK out with the last time they faced off! However, MGK is prepared, and slips out of Danny Ray’s grip, landing on his feet! Ray turns around, and MGK attempts another superkick! But Danny Ray ducks it, kicks MGK in the gut, sets him up, and nails The Sitter! He goes for the pin!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THRE- MGK KICKS OUT!!
Prescott: Woah! I wasn’t expecting that!
Blaylock: You’re the historian here Stan, so you shouldn’t be THAT surprised!
Now it’s Danny Ray who seems to have a look of disbelief on his face. He rises to his feet, and pulls MGK up with him, but MGK grabs the arm, flips Danny to the ground on his stomach, wraps his hands around his face, and locks in the Damageplan submission! The fans are going crazy now at all of the close calls in this match. MGK leans back, trying to get Danny to tap out, but The Family Man won’t submit! MGK screams “Just give up!” but Danny shakes his head no! Danny is nowhere near the ropes and it looks like he might tap out! But at the last moment, he’s able to roll back over onto MGK, in a modified pin! MGK’s shoulders are pinned to the mat!
ONE!!
TWO!!
Prescott: Ray almost had him there!
MGK releases the hold if only so he can escape the clever pin attempt from Ray. MGK uses the ropes to get to his feet. Danny Ray also gets to his feet on the other side of the ring… only to turn around into a superkick! MGK wastes no time going for the pinfall, and the referee counts.
ONE!!
TWO!!
THREE!!
DING!! DING!!
Blaylock: And just like that, it’s over!
Prescott: Indeed, but you can’t take anything away from Danny Ray’s performance. He was this close to winning. What a match!
Scarlett LaDawn: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner, MGK!”
The bell rings as MGK rolls off of Danny Ray, breathing heavy with exhaustion. As he climbs to his feet, MGK looks over to see Danny Ray writhing in pain on the mat. As his music plays, MGK hobbles over to Danny Ray, who looks up at him, expecting some sort of underhanded attack. Instead, MGK leans over Ray, and extends him his hand. Danny accepts, as MGK helps Danny to his feet. Both men nod to each other in respect, as MGK and Danny shake hands. MGK then exits the ring, celebrating despite being exhausted.
The screens switches on to show Bobby backstage giving a stage hand instructions on the show from his Office. He's half geared up for his match. He still wears his suit trousers but his top half is bare apart from some black wrist tape.
Bobby: Just get it done, OK? I don't need shit like this to deal with. What am I even paying you for?
All of a sudden, Anthony Caffrey walks into the office unannounced. The stage hand scarpers and Bobby's face turns red.
Caffrey: Well if it isn’t Bobby B!
Bobby: What the fuck are you doing here? Don't you have something to get ready for?
Caffrey: I do have something to get ready for. The real main event of Diamond are Forever is only a short time away. I just wanted you to get a look at what a real champion looks like.
Caffrey turns around, arms raised to display each individual plate of the AXW Undisputed Championship.
Bobby: A real Champion? Son I currently hold more World Championships than you've likely held in your entire career. Tell me, what makes you think that you have any fucking right to stand to me?
Caffrey laughs at Bobby, who is turning more and more red.
Caffrey: Because I'm better than you. I'm better than you, Card, Diamond, it doesn't matter. You may have the X-Crown.... for another, maybe an hour, tops, but we all know that when I get my shot, I'll have to clear out another space in my trophy case.
Bobby squares up to Caffrey. They're almost nose to nose.
Bobby: You can clear out all the space you want. Doesn't mean you'd even get a shot at this baby pats belt The fact is that tomorrow morning, I'll be waking up as the holder of 19 World Championships. Fed level? I've won the AWF Championship twice. My list of accomplishments are as long as my arm. Now maybe you should go put on your lipstick or something. I got things to do.
Caffrey: So...the chick on the opening. She single? I don't know if you know, but I'm known as the sixty minute ma-
Bobby shoves Caffrey against the wall, taking out two framed pictures of him and Jack. Caffrey shoves Bobby back and they start tangling! Cuss words can be heard going back and forth as production staff and security run in, trying to break up the fray. Finally, the two men are separated.
Caffrey: Told you you couldn't take me!
Bobby: You don't EVER get to mention her fucking name! You hear me?! Now get the FUCK out of my Office!
Prescott: Right folks, tag team action time!
Blaylock: The XHF Tag Team Championships are on the line tonight as Team Viper defend against The Nihilists and the Arrogant Violent Assholes... Can we say that here?
Prescott: I hope so!
Blaylock: Either way, I like those guys already!
Scarlett LaDawn: Introducing first and representing Anonymous Xtreme Wrestling... With a combined weight of 488 pounds... Wellington Dunne and James Raymond... The A...V...A!!
"Natural" by Imagine Dragons plays through the PA as James Raymond and Wellington Dunne step out onto the stage, followed by Anthony Caffrey as he steps in front of the two. The crowd sing along to a chorus of boos as the trio make their way to ringside, with Caffrey holding his AXW Undisputed Championship over his head as he walks down the ramp. All three men halt as Caffrey gives orders and they enter the ring, both men climb to the second rope as Caffrey enters and heads over to the ropes with his championship over his head. As the music cuts out, the Referee immediately throws Caffrey out of the ringside area!
Prescott: Wow we haven't seen that kind of confidence from a Referee in a long time!
Blaylock: That's bullshit!
Prescott: Hey let's try not to tread on any toes in our one night here, OK?
Scarlett LaDawn: Their opponents, representing the Ascension Wrestling Federation... With a combined weight of 397 pounds. Esmur and Gebin... The Nihilists!!
The arena dims down to pitch blackness. Two male voices are heard softly saying, “Embrace … the emptiness.” "Saviour of Nothing" by Disturbed begins to play and a single blue spotlight illuminates the stage. On the stage standing back to back facing either side of the arena are Esmur and Gebin, the Nihilists. The camera zooms right up from the ramp to their masked faces as they slowly turn to look at it. They then walk past it and out of frame as it zooms out. The two men mean business as they quickly walk to the ring and slide under the bottom rope. The push to their feet and step to the center of the ring as the spotlight turns slowly from blue to pink to white. The two men remain back to back facing the two sides of the crowd left and right of the entryway.
Scarlett LaDawn: Finally the Champions. They are from The Viper's Nest...Weighing in at 451 pounds, the XHF Tag Team Champions...Dylan and Jeffrey...The Vipers!!
The Viper Tron plays as Jeffrey Viper bursts out into the open. He swings his arms into the air and runs his fingers through his chest hair, much to the chagrin and disgust of the fans. He looks back and waves Dylan into the spotlight. Even despite the noise from the arena, Dylan's reluctance makes his sigh nearly audible as he drags his feet into the arena. While Dylan takes his time getting to the ring, trying to stay away from the man who claims to be his father, Jeffrey Viper darts down to the ring. He stops mid-way down the ramp to catch his breath before sliding to the ring. While he describes his ring entrance as sliding, what he does is poke his top half of his body underneath the bottom rope and then kick his feet until he can roll underneath the bottom rope. When Jeffrey actually makes his way inside, Dylan walks his way up the steps. Viper turns around to Dylan and gives him a high five for some camaraderie, but Dylan shakes his head.
DING! DING!
Prescott: We are under way and one paper this is a huge match up!
Blaylock: No one expected the Vipers to take the Tag Team Championships from Bobby and Jack but they did it!
No sooner has the bell rang, but Jeffrey Viper storms across the ring and starts wailing on Esmur. Dylan reluctantly follows and hops onto Gebin as James Raymond and Wellington Dunne smile to themselves, happy to let the carnage continue right in front of them. Dylan and Jeffrey continue the beat down on the Nihilists and Dylan shoves Gebin through the ropes. Jeffrey has Esmur backed into the ropes and is yelling at Dylan to "Get his bitch ass over here!" Dylan rolls his eyes and follows the instructions. Double Irish Whip on Esmur and Dylan looks for the Double Clothesline only to turn around and see Jeffrey dropping his head for a Double Back Body Drop!
Blaylock: What the hell?
Esmur mows down Dylan with a Clothesline of his own before tossing Jeffrey out of the ring! The crowd are behind him as he celebrates, but not before getting knocked down by the AVA, who stormed the ring as he was distracted! Raymond whips Esmur across the ring and he's met with a Running Shoulder Tackle from Dunne. Raymond is out of the ring and finally the Referee has this match under control. Dunne kneels over Esmur and starts hitting him with shots to the face. Esmur protects himself best as he can before Dunne raises his arms to hit him with a Double Axehandle to the face. As he does so, Esmur sees the opportunity and hooks his legs around the arms of Dunne and rolls him through into a cover.
ONE!!
TWO!!
KICKOUT!!
Blaylock: Nice early cover attempt from Esmur, but we can't help but get the feeling that it was more to create a little breathing room from the onslaught Dunne was bringing!
Dunne charges at Esmur again, only to be met by an Armdrag Takedown. Dunne hits the mat hard and rolls through to make a tag. What he doesn't realise is that instead of tagging in James Raymond, he tagged in Jeffrey Viper instead. Viper struggles through the ropes and stomps right on Dunne before charging at Esmur himself. Esmur hits Jeffrey with a right as he runs in and Jeffrey stumbles back. Esmur locks an Arm bar in on Jeffrey, who starts screaming out to Dylan to get in and break the hold, but Dylan just rolls his eyes as Esmur drags Jeffrey across to the corner and makes the tag to Gebin. Gebin gets to the second rope and drops an Axehandle on the arm of Jeffrey, who drops to one knee. Gebin torques on the arm of Jeffrey again and walks him around the ring, but Raymond makes a blind tag to Jeffrey without Gebin finding out. The Referee tries to warn Gebin, but by the time he realises what happened, Raymond is in the ring and hits Gebin with a chop block to the back of the knee!
Blaylock: You know what? That was efficient, ruthless! I like this guy!
Prescott: This isn't going to be another MY GUY moment like in ICW is it?
Raymond is on Gebin now and he picks him up and hits a Snap Suplex. Gebin hits the ground and grips at his back before Raymond dives on him for the cover!
ONE!!
TWO!!
KICKOUT!!
Raymond is right back up, jawing with the crowd about being the new Tag Team Champion as he lifts up Gebin by the head. Gebin breaks out of the hold and hits Raymond with a few rights. Raymond stumbles and the crowd get behind Gebin. All of a sudden, Raymond rakes the eyes of Gebin, which is awfully impressive aim through his mask! Gebin stumbles back and Raymond hits a nice dropkick! Raymond turns around and spits at the corner of the Vipers and Dylan is full of steam trying to get in. The Referee heads over to stop him and before we know it, Dunne is in the ring... Followed by Esmur! The Referee is back in the ring, trying to get order in the match, but as soon as he turns his back, The Vipers both pour into the ring and everyone is fighting again!
Prescott: You know when we got the call about this show, Bobby said it could get out of hand and boy did he undersell it!
Blaylock: It doesn't help when gold is on the line and that gold is currently held by one of the most unpredictable men in the Network! Did you hear what he did to a Dolphin last month?!
Prescott: No...
Blaylock: Well I'm not telling you on air. Google it!
The fight in the ring has broken down. Dunne, Jeffrey and Gebin find themselves outside the ring as Dylan, Esmur and Raymond are inside. Dylan and Raymond have come out on top of Esmur, making the most of the fatigue from being one of the main parts of this match through the opening and they send him into the opposite ropes. Esmur ducks the Double Clothesline attempt before diving through the top and middle ropes onto the three men outside! Raymond grins and Dylan looks across at him. Raymond asks if Dylan would like to follow Esmur and immediately Dylan sprints against the far ropes but Raymond pulls the rug out from under him with a surprise dropkick halfway across the ring! Raymond is up and laughing at the deception as Dylan nurses his jaw. Raymond hops up to the top rope and delivers a picture perfect plancha to the outside, knocking down 4 men as he lands on them!
Prescott: Well we see where the Arrogant and the Asshole come from with their tag team name now.
Blaylock: That was both a dick move and genius at the same time! Dylan is going to be fuming about that!
The Referee yells over and over at all of the men to get back into the ring. The AVA and The Nihilists have the numbers advantage...Or they would have if Jeffrey hadn't slipped under the ring after that last fall. They're going 2 on 2 right now and they don't plan to stop for a count! All of a sudden Dylan Viper hits a perfect looking moonsault off the top rope to the outside! All 6 men are outside the ring and the Referee has no idea who the legal men are anymore! Dylan sees one of Jeffrey's legs sticking out from under the apron and drags him out, telling him to get one of the competitors back in the ring. James Raymond ends up being the unfortunate recipient of their attention as he's plucked from the heap of bodies and bundled under the bottom rope. Both Vipers go to get in the ring and then both of them try to allow the other to get in first. Dylan loses patience and shoves Jeffrey before sliding under the bottom rope and making a cover on Raymond.
ONE!!
TWO!!
KICKOUT!!
Prescott: A near fall there nearly kept the tag team Championships in place.
Dylan grabs the head of Raymond and pulls him across to the Vipers' corner, Jeffrey makes the tag and Dylan hits a slam.
Blaylock: Hold on, what's he doing??
Jeffrey Viper is on the top rope and flips the bird at both of the opposing corners before leaping off the top rope...Viper's Sti-NO!!
Blaylock: Jeffrey Viper just tries to hit the Viper's Sting from the top rope, but James Raymond managed to move out of the way! Jeffrey looks like roadkill right now and Raymond doesn't look much better!
The Referee starts to count both men down!
ONE!!
TWO!!
Raymond starts to stir.
THREE!!
FOUR!!
Raymond makes it to his knees and surveys the scene. Which corner looks good? It takes him a few seconds to find Dunne before making the tag. Dunne gets into the ring and grabs the ankle of Jeffrey Viper, who is now crawling to the corner...with no one in it. Jeffrey struggles against the pure strength of Dunne before hitting him with an enziguri and leaping forward to make the tag. With all the struggling and moving around the ring, Jeffrey only knows he's made a tag, but not too but his questions are answered as Gebin leaps into the ring and takes out Dunne! Dunne eats a Clothesline, a Back Elbow and the Nihil! A cover from Gebin!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR-BROKEN UP BY DYLAN VIPER!!
Prescott: Dylan Viper is on the ball there, if he hadn't interrupted the count, he could have found himself losing his title without being involved in the decision!
Gebin nurses the back of his head from the stomp by Dylan as Dunne tries again to get to his corner, but again Gebin manages to get hold of him. Another struggle as Dylan manages to make the blind tag on Dunne and Dunne is furious that he's being told to leave the ring. Clearly his idea was to NOT tag in the current Champions. Dunne refuses to leave the ring and starts to beat down on Gebin again. Rather than protest, Dylan joins him but again the match breaks down into chaos as all members of the match pile into the ring again! It's absolute carnage in there! We cut across the ring and see a weary Dunne swing a haymaker at Dylan, who ducks and hits a Fisherman's Suplex to Dunne and bridges it out!
ONE!!
TWO!!
BROKEN UP BY ESMUR!!
Dylan gets to his feet and gets in Esmur's face but before he can get more than two words out, he's turned around by James Raymond, who HITS HIM WITH THE RAYMOND EFFECT!! Raymond struggles to hook the leg of Dylan and makes the cover!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THRE-NO!!
Blaylock: Dylan kicked out!! The tenacity of that kid!!
Dylan rolls to the outside of the ring as James Raymond argues with the Referee over the cadence of the count. Both Esmur and Gebin team up on Raymond, beating him down and setting him against the ropes. They whip him across the ring but JEFFREY VIPER COMES OUT OF NOWHERE WITH FISTING WITH MY BODY!!
Blaylock: RAYMOND JUST GOT FISTED BY JEFFREY VIPER!!
Jeffrey gets back to his feet and celebrates like Rocky, yelling DDYYLLAAANNNN but forgets about the other two men in the ring with him! Gebin in on his shoulders...NULL HYPOTHESIS!! Esmur follows up with the Swanton Bomb that he calls the Void!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THREE!!
DING!! DING!!
Scarlett LaDawn: The winners of the match and NEW XHF Tag Team Champions... The Nihlists!!
Esmur and Gebin celebrate their victory before the AVA come storming the ring! They quickly evacuate the ring and celebrate with their titles on the ramp as Dylan and Jeffrey are left arguing over the result!
Prescott: Well there you have it, in their first defense since claiming the Tag Team belts at Supremacy, Team Viper relinquishes them tonight to The Nihilist as those titles find a home in AWF.
Blaylock: Kind of fitting it would be on this show isn't it? Beat the Icons but lose on their show...
Prescott: Indeed it is, and speaking of the Icons, our next match will look to either initiate a new member to the group or continue Maverick on his "legend killer" streak as of late as he takes on James Franklin Karn.
The scene cuts to backstage where Maverick is finishing applying tape to his wrists. Jack Diamond walks into the locker room and the crowd roars as he shows up on the big screen. He stops to take in the sound from the crowd inside the arena as Maverick looks up.
Maverick: Jack, man this is insane isn't it? What a turn out.
Jack Diamond: Well, it IS an Icon show, we expected this didn't we.
Maverick: Yes, we did. You all set to go against Bobby tonight?
Jack Diamond: Of course I am, You know as well as anyone that when that X*Crown is on the line... I step my game up.
Maverick: No kidding. Have you seen him today? He had a run in with Caffrey earlier.
Jack Diamond: Nah, we have kept our distance today. Whatever the outcome of tonight is we can catch up after the show but for now we both have to be in the right state of mind. That Anthony Caffrey though... kids got a lot of guts, no brains, but he knew what he was doing barking up that tree.
Maverick: Yeah, I imagine Bobby will have a lot to say about that later.
Jack Diamond: What about you man... JFK?
Maverick: I've got this, mate. He wants to be an Icon? He will have to put up or shut up tonight. It's a shame, in another world he may have made an excellent Icon. I'm putting an end to that nonsense tonight though.
Jack Diamond: Keep that fire man, and good luck out there. Bobby and I talked earlier in the week and we are staying out of it. Either he earns his spot or he doesn't. That is for you to handle.
Maverick backs towards the door with a sly look on his face.
Maverick: I don't need luck tonight, Jackie-boy... I'm the XHF Legend Killer!
Mav heads out towards the arena and Jack just stands there shaking his head.
Jack Diamond: That was my gimmick not that long ago...
The scene switches back out to ringside where Steven Blaylock and Stanley Prescott await the next match.
Prescott: Jack seems like he is ready doesn't he?
Blaylock: Like old time, Stan. It will be different tonight though, my boy Bobby will finally get on on The Ace!
Prescott: You've said that before... anyways let's get to the Icon Challenge.
Scarlett LaDawn: Ladies and Gentlemen, the next match is set for one fall and is the Icon Challenge! Introducing first, from Miami Florida, coming in tonight at 6'2", 230 lbs... he is "The One"... JFK!!!!
The lights go dim as the iconic opening guitar riff for "Runnin Down A Dream" comes blaring over the speakers, A rain of gold pyro comes down over the entrance as JFK comes walking out from the back wearing his "100% Florida Ass-Kicking" T-Shirt with his classic Jack Daniels inspired logo on the front and his normal wrestling gear.
Prescott: JFK, there aren't many wrestlers who have the resources this man has, Steven.
Blaylock: Yeah that is for sure, I watched some of his promos this week with him playing with holograms... really futuristic stuff.
He makes his way down the ramp slapping hands with a few fans and rolls into the ring; he stands in the middle of the ring throwing his arms out in a crucifix pose with his body tilted to the side a bit, he then rips his shirt off up over his head and tosses it into the crowd going to his corner ready for the match.
Prescott: He looks ready for this one.
Blaylock: Yeah and he carries himself like the Icons as well, will he be in after this one? It all depends if he can beat The Maverick.
The lights dim, leaving some light on in the arena. The music plays and fans rise to their feet, clapping along to the beat. Then, as the beat drops, Maverick walks out from the curtain with a smirk on his face, looking out to the crowd and soaking in the mixture of cheers and boos.
Scarlett LaDawn: And his opponent, from Wexford Town, Ireland... standing at 5'10" and weighing in at 192 lbs... The Iconic Prince... The XHF's Best Kept Secret... The Godslayer... The XHF Legend Killer.... MAVERICK!!!
Prescott: And here he is. He told Jack moments ago that he didn't need luck tonight.
Blaylock: Of course he doesn't, he has been knocking off XHF legend after XHF legend as of late, Stan. This isn't the same young kid we seen in ICW, he has been on a complete tear while under the tutelage of Jack and Bobby.
Prescott: I can't argue with that.
Blaylock: But how many nicknames does one man need?
He heads down the ramp, fans reaching out but Maverick only smiles and flips them off. As he reaches ringside, he stands still and stretches his arms out as a singular spotlight shines down on him, following him with every move he makes. He makes a left turn and heads around the ring steps, climbing onto the ring apron. He looks out to the crowd before raising his hand up high in a slow manner as the lights flicker in different colors. He enters the ring and walks over to the opposite side of the ring, climbing onto the second rope and stretching his arms out, then he drops down and heads to his corner.
Prescott: Both men staring each other down...
DING!! DING!!
Maverick moves in towards JFK who meets him in the center of the ring. The two begin mouthing at each other in the center of the ring. Maverick is telling him there is only one way to become an Icon. JFK is just smiling. Maverick, insulted by the smugness of JFK throws a right but JFK dodge it and throws an eblow of his own that lands on Maverick's jaw, rocking him. JFK strikes again, and again, backing Maverick up towards the ropes. JFK whips Maverick across the ring and runs after him. As Maverick hits the ropes JFK goes for a dropkick, but Maverick holds onto the ropes and watches JFK crash to the mat and quickly roll over and pop back up. Maverick quickly runs in with a cross body as JFK gets back to his feet and the two go spilling to the mat. Both men jump up but this time it is JFK who is there first with a calf kick, a side kick, a calf kick, a side kick. Maverick is dancing around the ring trying to absorb the kicks but JFK is relentless.
Prescott: JFK really trying to slowdown Maverick with those kicks.
Blaylock: If Maverick can't run around or jump, JFK will have an easier time at this.
JFK locks up with Maverick who quickly tries to turn it into a headlock but JFK elbows Maverick in the side and hits him with a hip toss. Maverick tries to get up but JFK is in there quickly with a chin lock, driving Maverick back down to his knees as he fights for wind. The ref comes in to check the hold.
Prescott: The chin lock is snug and Maverick is gasping for air. JFK really taking an early advantage on the Iconic Prince.
Blaylock: I like the game-plan on JFK's part. Textbook wearing your opponent down.
Prescott: Maverick tries to make his way to the ropes...and he's got them!
JFK breaks the hold as Maverick hangs on to the middle rope, trying to gather himself. JFK plays to the crowd for a bit and then steps towards Maverick. Maverick kicks his leg out and lands his foot right into JFK's gut, doubling him over. Maverick steps to the apron of the ring and quickly springs up over the top rope just as JFK stands, grabbing his head and neck and bringing "The One' down with a blockbuster. Maverick goes for the pin.
ONE!!
TWO!!
KICKOUT!!
Prescott: Maverick almost puts it away there after the blockbuster.
Blaylock: He, if nothing else, took back control of this match when it looked like JFK was going to cruise right into the group in this one.
Prescott: Maverick is back on his feet, as he picks up JFK and sends him into the corner... He is still talking trash to him! OH! Viscous European Uppercut!
Blaylock: That one echoed through the XHF Arena, Stan.
JFK slumps into the corner after the uppercut. Maverick holds his arms out to the crowd as they give him a mixed reaction as he circles around towards the center of the ring before charging full speed at a seated JFK and hits a dropkick that sends JFK's head bouncing off the turnbuckle.
Prescott: Oh! What a dropkick. Did you see the way his head snapped back on that one?
Blaylock: Where was this intensity when he was in ICW?
Prescott: I mean, he was relatively new to the business, Steven
Blaylock: No, I tell you what it was. He wasn't hanging out with Bobby back then. That attitude, that swagger, it has Bobby's fingerprints all over it.
Prescott: Well he's definitely learned from two of the best.
Maverick drags JFK out of the corner a bit and makes a quick cover.
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR-
Blaylock: That's a three count!
Prescott: No, look at JFK's arm
JFK shows great ring presence by sliding his arm under the bottom rope before the three count. Maverick stands up and argues with the ref who points at JFK's arm. Maverick dismisses the ref and walks over to JFK, bending down to lift him up but JFK grabs Maverick and pulls him down to a cradle pin.
ONE!!
TWO!!
KICKOUT!!
Blaylock: Lookout!
Prescott: Maverick breaks out just in time, JFK playing opossum and almost stealing the win there. Maverick is beside himself.
Maverick pulls himself up from the ropes, clearly angry. JFK is pulling himself up from the ropes too. Just as JFK gets to his feet, Maverick strikes with an IconKick! He doesn't get all of it but it knocks JFK into the ropes, but JFK bounces off and hits The Karn Kick! Maverick goes down, JFK goes down.
Prescott: I can't believe what we just seen. Maverick hit his version of the superkick but I don't think it landed clean. JFK hit the ropes and fired off a superkick of his own but then went down. Both men are on the mat.
Blaylock: I'm not sure who is going to come out on top in this match. It looks like Karn is moving.
JFK sees that Maverick is out. The kick connected squarely on the chin. He begins to army crawl towards Maverick and drapes an arm over him.
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR-KICKOUT!!
Prescott: That was close!
Blaylock: If he could have gotten there a little sooner and been able to hook the leg, you would be looking at the newest Icon.
JFK rolls off Maverick, spent and breathing heavily. Maverick is trying to roll the opposite direction. Both men slowly get to their feet. Maverick is the first to fire a right which rocks JFK. JFK sends one back to Maverick. They begin trading blows one after another as the crowd's excitement builds. Maverick leans back and launches another right at JFK but JFK ducks it. He grabs Maverick for a belly to belly suplex but Maverick gets his foot in to block JFK from lifting. Maverick grabs JFK's arm and spins, pushing the veteran down in the process and locking in crippler crossface. JFK yells out as Maverick wrenches back. The ref drops down asking JFK if he submits.
Prescott: Beautiful transition into the crossface there, Steven. Maverick has JFK in a world of hurt AND in the center of the ring! This could be it.
Blaylock: Of course it is, Maverick has him right where he wants him and will send JFK packing. They don't need him in the Icons!
JFK shakes his head at the ref. He's dealt with worse holds than this in his time. He tries to slide, crawl, anything that he can do to break Maverick's hold. He gets weaker with each push of energy. He still refuses to tap though. Maverick pulls back even harder. He can tell JFK is fading. Surprisingly, Maverick breaks the hold and gets to his feet.
Blaylock: What in the world is he doing? He had him dead to rights.
Prescott: Looks like Maverick is sending a message.
Maverick sizes JFK up who is trying to push himself back up from the mat but is moving very slow after the punishment of the crossface. He gets to his knees as Maverick takes off towards him. He jumps up to go for his Down To Earth signature move but JFK moves just in time and Maverick drives his foot into the mat, jamming his knee in the process. He hobbles around in clear pain and as he turns back to JFK he is met with a boot to the gut followed by JFK hooking his arms. JFK kicks his leg out and plants Maverick face first with a DDT.
Prescott: The First Nail! Did you hear Maverick's head hit the mat?
Blaylock: A candidate for CTE right there... It's over, we have a new Icon.
JFK flips Maverick over slowly, clearly still worn from the submission hold he was locked in. He falls on top of Maverick.
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR-KICKOUT!!
Prescott: THREE- NO! Maverick kicked out! He kicked out right before three!
Blaylock: You couldn't have slid a piece of paper between the ref's hand and the mat. You have to give it to Maverick there for being resilient enough to get a shoulder up
JFK sits up with disbelief in his eyes. He shakes his head before letting a smile creep into the corners of his mouth. He crawls over and pulls himself up. He picks Maverick up and again hooks both arms.
Prescott: Going for another wait he lifts him
JFK goes for The Second Nail, his double underhook piledriver but Maverick flails his legs enough to get a tired JFK to lower him back down to the ring. Maverick slides an arm out and arm drags JFK down. JFK is back up but this time he is the one met with the boot to the gut and a Maverick grabs him into a double underhook. Maverick lifts JFK up and into position for Storm of The Prince.
Prescott: If Mav hits this...wait..no...
Blaylock: JFK just slid out of it!
Prescott: He spins Mav around into a front headlock, lifts him up....FINAL NAIL! FINAL NAIL! FINAL NAIL!
JFK drops Maverick's head onto his knee for his brainbuster finishing move. He grabs Maverick's leg, making the pinfall.
ONE!!
TWO!!
THREE!!
DING!! DING!!
Prescott: It's over!
Blaylock: I told you we had a new Icon!
Scarlett LaDawn: The winner of this match by pinfall, AND NEW MEMBER OF THE ICONS!!!! JAMES FRANKLIN KARN!!!!!
Blaylock: I can't believe it! What a match that was.
Prescott: You can't believe it, look at Maverick! He is in shock!
Maverick comes to, realizing he just lost his second match of the weekend. This one, allowing JFK to become a member of the Icons. "Running Down A Dream" is playing through the arena as Maverick rolls out of the ring. He beings looking under the ring.
Prescott: Oh no, what is he looking for? It looks like he isn't done here.
Blaylock: Is that a... jacket?
Maverick rolls back into the ring just as JFK is getting ready to exit through the ropes. Maverick taps him on the shoulder as JFK stands back up and turns to face Maverick. Maverick holds up a brand new Icon Jacket.
Prescott: Well, true to their word it appears the Icon's are set on welcoming JFK into the ranks.
The fans begin to cheer as JFK looks around. He takes the jacket and looks as it as Maverick rolls out the ring and nods at him before heading up the ramp. JFK takes in the crowds reaction some more while he holds up the leather cut. He exits the ring to go to the back not only victorious but now a part of the most decorated stable in XHF history.
Blaylock: I... I'm speechless. That match was hard fought on both ends and really could have went either way.
Prescott: You are right about that, however if you think that match was good we are in for a treat on this next one.
Blaylock: No kidding, we have the AWF Champion, Chris Card who is no stranger to the Icons, having had a bit of a rivalry with Jack Diamond, taking on the AXW Champion, Anthony Caffrey who burst on the scene last fall with his arrogant, violent ways and launched him straight to the top of that company.
Prescott: These two have been locked into a war of words over the last couple weeks and it is time to find out which champion can claim a victory tonight in the first of the two co-main events of the evening!
Scarlett LaDawn: Our next match is a special AWF verses AXW CO MAIN-EVENT! Introducing first, fighting out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at two hundred twenty and one half pounds, He is the AWF Prestige Champion and he is very...
Crowd: VERY!
Scarlett LaDawn: ...good at what he does, "Technical Perfection" CHRIS CARD!!!
The wild drum fill, followed by the savage harmonica line and guitar riff of DC Sound Attack! plays as purple and white lights swirl and pulse with the beat. Chris Card walks out from the entrance gate and looks out into the crowd.
THE OPTICS OF IT ARE NOT IMPORTANT
THE PUBLIC DON'T GIVE A DAMN!
I FEEL IN NEED OF CONSULTATION, NOW
EVERYBODY NEEDS
A SINISTER HAND
Prescott: He is known as Technical Perfection, Chris Card is no stranger to the intellectual side of wrestling. Manipulating the system to that which fits him is his strong point and a big reason why he holds the AWF's top prize, even defending just as recent as Friday night. Will that play into this match?
Blaylock: There is a such thing as a fighting champion, and I have no doubt that Card is as good as he says he is, but that quick of a turn around... that's crazy
Prescott: And also what makes the XHF as special as it is. You never know when your number will be called, you have to be ready.
Card takes a slow walk down to the ring and steps through the ropes as the lights change from beams to spinning spotlights to mark his presence in the ring. Card poses in the center of the ring, crossing his thumbs over where his heart would sit. The lights go up and Card moves over to his own corner and relaxes, the referee checking him over and finding nothing wrong.
Scarlett LaDawn: And his opponent, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania... he is 6'4" and weighs in at 230 lbs... representing AXW as the AXW Undisputed Champion!!! ANTHONY CAFFREY!!!!
Anthony Caffrey emerges from the back with loud booing from the fans. He stops at the top of the ramp, smiling while pointing down to his AXW Undisputed Championship.
Prescott: Anthony Caffrey. He is Arrogant, there is no denying that. However, show after show he has proven why he is the AXW Undisputed Champion.
Blaylock: It doesn't hurt to have a group of violent assholes backing you up either does it?
Prescott: No, it doesn't.
Caffrey continues down to the ring, jawing with the crowd as he does so. Card just looks on, amused. Caffrey enters the ring and takes his championship belt off, holding it high in the air. Card gives him a slow clap.
Prescott: Chris Card, not at all impressed with Caffrey showing off the gold of AXW.
Blaylock: Why would he? He has his own title, of which this match is for neither. It is all about bragging rights here. Both men very savvy in their technical abilities. However, is there a more dangerous move than the Caffrey Ankle Lock?
Prescott: Maybe not, but Chris Card has promised over and over that he will not be beaten by that move, going as far as to say he has counter after counter for it.
Both men walk up to each other in the center of the ring, both carrying an arrogance that almost doesn't fit in the ring.
DING!! DING!!
Caffrey fakes a lunge at Card who doesn't flinch. Caffrey laughs and Card nods. The circle each other, trying to figure out where the first point of attack should be. Caffrey goes in this time for a lock up but quickly moves behind Card with a rear waist lock. Caffrey charges Card towards the ropes but on impact Card holds on to the ropes and as Caffrey tries to roll him up quickly, instead he goes rolling by himself. Card turns around smiling as Caffrey jumps back to his feet, brushing himself off. They meet back in the middle of the ring and lock up once again but this time Card grabs the upper hand, literally by taking Caffrey into a wrist lock and pulling his arm several times trying to hyper extend the elbow. Card raise the arm, ducks under and twist and really wrenches in the wrist lock tight as Caffrey moves around trying to free himself. Card, now holding Caffrey in a rear wrist lock. Caffrey throws an elbow, connecting to Card just enough for him free his arm and grab Card into a headlock. Card grabs Caffrey's back and shoves him into the ropes and on the rebound grabs a sleeper hold. The ref goes in to check the hold but Caffrey has other plans and quickly goes for a low blow with his left leg. Card, however anticipates the kick, steps to the side bringing Caffrey into a side head lock this time. Caffrey follows Card's lead sending him into the ropes and locking in a sleeper on the rebound. Caffrey, knowing that Card could be thinking the same thing he thought moments ago decides it's best to just push Card away from him.
Prescott: Interesting start for the two champions here, matching each other move for me.
Blaylock: Yeah, Card gets credit for being Technical Perfection but Caffrey is no slouch in there.
Caffrey plays to the crowd that he is the smarter wrestling and it's reciprocated in boos. He frowns and circles back around Card who for a moment looks slightly annoyed before shaking that off and going in for another lock up. As soon as they tie up though, Caffrey drops down and hits a fireman carry take down on Card who quickly locks in a head scissors hold on Caffrey. Caffrey squirms a bit before kipping up out of the hold and posing to the crowd some more. Card quickly gets back to his feet and as Caffrey turns he attempts a Calling Card kick but Caffrey catches his leg and quickly tries to turn it into an ankle lock, but sensing this Card drops and rolls under Caffrey's legs sending the AXW champion flying through the ropes and out of the ring. He gets up to his feet and slaps the ring apron in frustration as Chris Card gives him a finger wave that would make Dikembe Mutombo proud.
Prescott: These two are very evenly matched. It is amazing to watch. It will take more than a series of chain holds to separate yourself in this match.
Blaylock: What about both men going for their finisher early and both being blocked?
Prescott: Goes to show that one, it is too early to try that and two, both men did their homework. Card has already counted the C.A.L. once which was his focus point going into the match.
Caffrey gets back in the ring and walks right up to Card and slaps him across the face. It clearly shocks Card for a moment but he charges after Caffrey who back peddles and leans out of the ropes at the corner forcing the ref to step in and stop Card from pursuing. Card realizes the cat and mouse game and raises his hand and back up, almost impressed at Caffrey's tactics. The ref turns and warns Caffrey about the cheap shot as he gets back in the ring.
Blaylock: That was a hard slap, I think Card feels like he's been out-carded momentarily.
Prescott: They circle each other again, lock up, Caffrey grabs a wrist lock... no, Card reverses into a wrist lock of his own. Drop toehold from Caffrey and he transitions it into a grounded face lock!
Blaylock: I can't keep up...
Card fights to get out of the hold, spins grabbing hold of Caffrey's arm in the process and locking in a hold. He jumps up and falls knees first into the side of Caffrey's arm. He stands pulling Caffrey up with him and just like the beginning of the match has him in a wrist lock again, spinning through it and forcefully jerking down to put pressure on the shoulder and elbow. Card flips Caffrey over but Caffrey is able to flip through it and jump back to his feet, reverse the wrist lock into one of his own. Caffrey reaches up and grabs the top of Card's hair pulling him down from behind to the mat. With Card down, Caffrey stomps at the face of Card while twisting his arm. This time Card kips up once again reversing the wrist lock back in his favor, wrenching the arm a couple times. Card sends Caffrey towards the corner but Caffrey reverses and sends Card barreling towards the turnbuckle. Caffrey follows but Card catches himself and jumps up as Caffrey runs under him and into the corner. Card grabs Caffrey's waist and pulls him backwards into a roll up.
ONE!!
TWO!!
KICKOUT!!
Prescott: We are getting some mat work tonight...
Blaylock: You don't always need high flying, high impact moves to make something special. I must say, I'm enjoying this technical display.
Both men are back up and Caffrey moves in but Card quickly hits an arm drag back into an arm lock on the ground. Both men are clearly winded. Caffrey tries to gouge at the eyes to break the hold but the ref smacks Caffrey's arm down and Card only locks it in tighter, moving into a better position. Caffrey kicks and turns trying to get a foot under the rope but Card picks him back up and moves him towards the center of the ring before painfully forcing Caffrey's wrist and arm halfway up his back in a rear wrist lock. Caffrey screams out a bit but quickly gathers himself and delivers a stiff elbow to Card's head, breaking the hold. Caffrey runs and hits the ropes and knocks Card down with a shoulder block. He quickly runs and hits the ropes again jumping over Card who tried to get up but instead dropped back down, he hits the ropes again and this time Card is back up and leapfrogs him before dropping flat on his back and using his legs to catch a rebounding Caffrey and flip him up and over. Both men are back to their feet with Caffrey leaning on the ropes. Card sees this and uses the opposite ropes for leverage and takes off across the ring and delivers a huge clothesline on Caffrey sending him over to ropes and down to the floor for a second time. The crowd pops.
Crowd: THIS IS AWESOME! clap clap clap-clap-clap THIS IS AWESOME!
Prescott: Listen to this crowd Steven, they know they are witnessing an absolute wrestling clinic and are paying their respects.
Blaylock: They also tend to be a little more on Chris Card's side here, cheering loudly at Caffrey's expense.
Prescott: Wait... it looks like Caffrey has had enough
Caffrey waves off the match with disgust and starts walking back up the ramp. Card looks on inquisitively but follows grabs Caffrey by the head and drags him back to the ring and tosses him in. Caffrey pulls himself up and leans against the ropes. Card slides in but before he can get to his feet, Caffrey pounces and drops a knee to his head. Caffrey picks Card up and pushes him into the corner and instantly digs his fingers into Card's eyes. The ref tries to break them up but Caffrey is digging deep. The ref begins his count. Caffrey uses every last second of the count and breaks just before a disqualification. Caffrey climbs up straddling Card and taunts the crowd to a chorus of boos. He punches Card. Then again. He raises his arm again.
Crowd: THREE!
Caffrey doesn't strike on three. Instead he lets a good half second pass before hitting Card a third time. Then a fourth. Then..
Crowd: FIVE!
Nope, Caffrey again purposely messes the timing up on the chant but hits Card after the fact as the crowd's boos get louder. Caffrey then speedily finishes the ten punches before jumping off the second turnbuckle. Card stumbles out of the corner towards the middle of the ring and Caffrey runs the ropes and dives down into a chop block sending the Prestige champion to the mat. Card is on all fours as Caffrey walks up behind him and quickly grabs the ankle again. Card, even as out of it as he is feels the hold coming and quickly spins on this his back and in desperation kicks Caffrey off him. Caffrey falls into the ropes and comes back with a clothesline on the seated Card. Caffrey rolls through and hops back to his feet and begins to do jumping jacks of all things.
Blaylock: Ha! Look at him go. Caffrey makes it a point to have the stamina to go for days in that ring. Someone like Card who uses his mind more can sometime have a hard time keeping up.
Prescott: It clearly seems like Caffrey is trying to take control once and for all.
Blaylock: Yeah, but notice Card once again blocked the ankle lock.
Caffrey picks Card up and spins him around so that he is behind Card. He gets his arm under Card's left arm, while using his right to choke him out. The ref checks the hold as Caffrey shakes Card side to side. Card drops to one knee.
Prescott: The AWF champ is fading!
Blaylock: I'm not sure that isn't an illegal choke hold but the ref seems to be fine with it.
Card drops to the second knee and Caffrey puts all his weight on him. Eventually he has Card sprawled out on the mat. The ref slides in and raises Cards up. It hits the mat upon release.
ONE!!
The ref picks the arm up a second time and again as soon as he lets go, Card's arm hits the ground.
TWO!!
Caffrey squeezes. The ref raises the arm a third time and releases. Card's arm falls but he catches it just before hit hits the mat. The crowd lets out a roar, not wanting this match to be over.
Prescott: Listen to them Steven!
Crowd: FUCK YOU CAFFREY
Crowd: LET'S GO CARD!
Crowd: FUCK YOU CAFFREY
Crowd: LETS GO CARD!
Blaylock: It is rocking in here!
Prescott: No doubt about it!
Card shakes... he is trying to make it back to a knee. He gets it. He pushes himself back up to his feet with Caffrey still on his back. The ref is checking the hold. Then...
Blaylock: What the hell? Caffrey slumps over.
Prescott: You didn't see that?! Card just low blowed Caffrey! These fans may be cheering him but let's not forget he is not afraid to gain an unfair advantage!
Blaylock: well played Card, well played.
Card is down on the mat trying to catch his breath. Caffrey is doubled over also out of wind for an entirely different reason as he clutches his sides in pain. Card tries to roll over and make it to the ropes. He clutches them and slowly pulls himself up. He goes over to try and pick Caffrey up but Caffrey wants pay back. He goes for an uppercut between the legs but Card, like earlier, telegraphs it, stepping over the arm and dropping it into an arm bar hold with his legs. Caffrey, quickly pokes Card in the eyes with his free hand and Card breaks the hold. He tries to stand to his feet, blindingly reaching out for the ropes. He feels someone walking up to him and levels Caffrey with a European uppercut. Except... it was not Caffrey. Card wipes his eyes and squints before realizing it was the referee.
Prescott: Oh no! Card just took out the ref!
Blaylock: You could tell it was an honest mistake, although I'm not sure if anything Card's ever done has been described as "honest"
Caffrey motions towards the back and Dunne comes trotting out with a briefcase in his hands. He runs down to the ring and slides it through Card's legs into the waiting arms of Caffrey. Card turns around and SMACK! Caffrey lays into him with the briefcase.
Prescott: What a blow! It looks like... yes, Card has been busted open with that shot.
Blaylock: What is he doing?
Caffrey slides out of the ring and comes over to the announce table, leaning in to Blaylock.
Caffrey: You tell that punk ass buddy of yours that I am the only champion in the XHF that matters. Oh... this belongs to him!
Blaylock: What the-
Caffrey pushes the briefcase into Steven Blaylocks chest. Blaylock looks at it and it dawns on him.
Blaylock: This must be Bobby's End of Day's briefcase! Dunne must have lifted it while Bobby was getting ready for his match. These ass holes either have a massive set or they are stupid as hell.
Prescott: Easy, we still have a match going on.
Caffrey slides back into the ring as Dunne tries to shake the ref too. Caffrey dives over Card as the ref comes too and slides slowly over. He begins his count.
ONE!!
Blaylock: Not like this!
TWO!!
Prescott: Anthony Caffrey is going to win!
THRE-KICKOUT BY CARD!
The crowd erupts. Caffrey can not believe it and rolls over and starts pounding the ring in anger. He gets to his and tries to hush the crowd who get even louder. He puts his hands over his ears and throws a bit of a tantrum. He motions that it's over.
Prescott: Caffrey hasn't been able to get his ankle lock on Card all night but with Card bleeding in the corner of the ring, I'm not sure he'll be able to fight it off this time Steven.
Blaylock: Yeah, I think this one is about over.
Caffrey walks over to Card who is face down on the mat as the blood spot get larger and larger. He grabs Cards leg and looks at the ring position, knowing he is too close to the ropes. He tries to drag Card but Card reaches out to the ropes and holds on to them. Caffrey pulls but Card does let go. Caffrey delivers a kick to the middle of Card's back causing him to let go of the ropes. Caffrey starts dragging him into the middle of the ring where he has to stop a second to catch his breath after fighting with Card in the corner. He reaches down once more to grab the ankle but Card reaches up and pulls Caffrey into a roll up.
ONE!!
TWO!!
KICKOUT!!
Prescott: There is still a little fight left in Card!
Blaylock: I hope he gets up and squashes this ass clown now. Steal from an Icon and you get what you deserve!
Caffrey realizes he almost let Card outsmart him there but even more so he is pissed that he hasn't gotten the C.A.L. locked in yet. If he can only do that, this match will be over. He gets back to his feet just as Card is pulling himself up, his crimson mask running down to his chest. Caffrey charges in and goes for a forearm strike. Card ducks it, Caffrey hits the ropes and runs right into a spinning heel kick from Card.
Prescott: He almost too his head off there.
Card picks Caffrey up and backs him into the corner. He begins to unleash a flurry of strikes on him to the crowds pleasure. Knee strike, elbow smash, eye gouge. Knee strike, elbow smash, axe kick! Chris Card back up and lets Caffrey shakily walks to the middle of the ring where he is met with a picture perfect drop kick. Card falls down to his knees and makes a cover on Caffrey.
ONE!!
TWO!!
TH-KICKOUT!!
Card stands, he backs into the corner, bent over a bit form fatigue. The crowd beings chanting.
Crowd: CALLING CARD!! CALLING CARD!! CALLING CARD!!
Caffrey gets to a knee, facing the opposite direction. Dunne is trying to get his attention. He is jumping and pointing. Caffrey stands to his feet and sees Dunne's reaction. He turns towards Card and BOOM! Superkick to the jaw.
Prescott: The Calling Card!
Blaylock: And Caffrey fell like the sack of shit he is!
Prescott: Card covers!!!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THRE--DUNNE PULLS CARD OUT OF THE RING!!
Card lands on his feet and shoves Dunne before delivery the Calling Card to him as well. He slides back into the ring where Caffrey is trying to stand. The ref is over at the ropes looking down at Dunne trying to figure out what just happened. Before the ref can turn back around, Caffrey finally connects on a low blow, as spit flies from the sudden exhale of breath form Chris Card as he doubles over. Caffrey gets to his feet and grabs Card's bloody head into a front headlock. Looks up at the crowd with a small smile, kicks out his leg and drives Chris Card's head straight to the mat with a thud. Card rolls over and Caffrey quickly jumps on top of him, grabbing the leg.
ONE!!
TWO!!
THREE!!
DING!! DING!!
Prescott: I can't believe it!
Blaylock: I don't WANT to believe it!
Scarlett LaDawn: The winner of this match by pinfall, ANTHONY CAFFREY!!!!
Caffrey and Dunne make their way up the ramp through a sea of boos even having to dodge some items of trash being thrown. Card sits up in the ring, exhausted. He makes his way out of the ring using the apron for assistance. He is a bloody mess. The crowd though being chanting for him as he makes his way up the ramp.
Prescott: Despite who you wanted to win that match, the fact remains that we just seen an instant classic. I hope that these two meet somewhere else down the road but I am glad we were here to witness this!
Blaylock: Yeah, it was a great match. I don't like the outcome and I'm sure Bobby is not too thrilled with the theft of his briefcase, but at least I have it now so I can return it to its rightful owner.
Prescott: Speaking of Bobby, it is almost time for the main event.
Blaylock: That's right Stanley, and what a main event it will be. Do you remember way back in ICW? All the shows these two men headlined?
Prescott: Do I? You bet, Jack Diamond and Bobby Barratt have a very storied history. For those who may have been living under a rock, these two men worked for Icon Championship Wrestling. Bobby through no fault of his own had it out with Shawn Rossdale, yes the same Shawn Rossdale that would eventually come to XHF on Bobby's recommendation and win the Anonymous Assault Championship and hold it for over a hundred days.
Blaylock: While distracted by that feud, Jack Diamond went on to be the first person to win the ICW World Championship in an over-the-top rope battle royal. Meanwhile, Jack would also collect the second highest title in the company, The Shooting Star Title. The collision course was destined. Bobby and Jack mixed it up and the fans took notice. We took notice. The wrestling world took notice! They would go on to have some bloody wars especially as Shawn Rossdale tried to get Jack to do his dirty work for him by disposing of Bobby. It was all for naught though as Rossdale double crossed Jack when he wouldn't follow orders, helping Bobby win the Shooting Star title in a double title ladder match. Jack managed to fall from the ladder that night with his World title still in his grasp.
Prescott: The two would continue meeting across the world in the center of the ring. Through the death of Rossdale, which we didn't know was faked at that time, Jack and Bobby would eventually share a common bond of trying to rid ICW of Lucas Reiter, Rossdale's successor. Instead of watching the two hottest wrestling stars join forces, Reiter shut the company down leaving Jack and Bobby looking for a place to work, eventually landing in AWF and the XHF Network. Jack Diamond remained the first and ONLY ICW World Champion.
Blaylock: And that brings us to tonight. Over a year in the making. The Icons have taken the XHF by storm but tonight they face each other. ONE MORE TIME! The ICW Title, on the line, ONE MORE TIME!
Prescott: The time for talking is over. The time for our main event... is NOW! Icon verses Icon, Ace verses Prodigy, Friend verses friend... I can't wait.
Blaylock: I know it's been a hell of a long time since we seen these two fight one on one, but I am excited to see this one more time. Even if it's Bobby gonna finally get justice on Jack.
Prescott: You've never stopped loving him, did you?
Blaylock: You can't stop loving greatness.
The stadium lights dim and red strobes begin to flash as "Ace of Spades" by Motorhead feels the stadium, but then...
The music goes distorted before stopping, then "Be Legendary" by Pop Evil flows through the stadium. Diamond emerges from the back wearing his leather jacket and diamond-shaped sunglasses and smiles big at the crowds reaction. The crow explodes into "Diamond Club" chants as the Ace of Spades makes his way down to the ring.
Prescott: Jack coming out to a different theme song tonight, and I have to say.. it is very fitting of him and the rest of the Icons!
He stops halfway down the ramp and unzips the rest of his leather jacket to reveal the ICW World Heavyweight Championship, he unstraps the belt from his waist and carries it on his shoulder. He rolls under the bottom rope and quickly pops up and throws his hands in the air in a diamond sign, again to a massive amount of cheers and he gives a very smug grin as he awaits his opponent or for the match to start.
Prescott: Jack Diamond has one chance, one opportunity, to capture the gold he once held... from an old friend and rival.
Blaylock: The stakes couldn't be any higher, that ICW Heavyweight Championship will be added to the X*Crown but will Jack walk out with both tonight?
Motherfucker of the Year starts playing over the sound system. The lights drop apart from purple spotlights, which appear to swirl around as if they are looking for someone. Suddenly, they all converge on one spot, revealing two hooded figures carrying plaques. They head down the ramp together, before being followed by 2 more until 18 have filled the ramp on either side. They turn around their plaques, revealing the centre plates to each championship that makes up the X*Crown.
The music cuts to the chorus as Bobby heads out through the curtain. His custom X*Crown Championship adorning his waist. He stops to individually touch each plaque on the way to the ring, paying respect to each dead fed.
Arriving at ring side, he hops up the steps, wiping his feet on the apron before climbing through the ropes.
Blaylock: My man, the man of the hour, Bobby Motherfuckin' Barratt.
Prescott: He may be the X*Crown Champion but whenever the ICW title is up for grabs, he's always choked.
Scarlett LaDawn stands in the ring, the referee in front of her with both titles in his hands.
Scarlett LaDawn: The following contest is scheduled for one fall...
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Scarlett LaDawn: ...and it is for the XHF X*Crown Championship! Introducing first, the challenger. From Cherokee, North Carolina. Weighing in tonight at 190 pounds. He is the ICW World Heavyweight Champion, The Ace of Spades... JAAAAAACKKKKKK DIAMONNNNNNNND!
Jack throws up the Diamond symbol as the fans start to loudly chant "Diamond Club! Diamond Club! Diamond Club!"
Scarlett LaDawn: His opponent, the champion. From Warsall, England. Weighing in tonight at 203 pounds. He is the current, reigning and defending, Undisputed XHF X*Crown Champion... BOBBYYYYYYY BARRRRRRAATTTTTTT!
Bobby climbs onto the second rope and stretches his arms out, as the crowd cheer on with chants from the fans saying "Bobby Barratt! clap clap clapclapclap Bobby Barratt! clap clap clapclapclap Bobby Barratt! clap clap clapclapclap"
Prescott: These fans are for both of them tonight! This is insane.
DING! DING!
Blaylock: And this match is a go!
Jack and Bobby meet in the middle of the ring, they stare at each other before shaking hands as a show of sportsmanship. They then lock up in a Collar and Elbow Tie Up, Jack seemingly getting the upper hand with an arm lock but Bobby rolls out of it and puts Jack in an arm lock. Jack breaks free and rolls up Bobby for a Schoolboy Pin attempt.
ON- KICKOUT!
Bobby rolls out of the pin and hits a Sunset Flip Powerbomb and pins Jack.
KICKOUT!
Jack kicks out instantly! Both men stand up and then begin to throw Hayemakers at one another. Once again, Jack gets the advantage. He rebounds off the ropes but Bobby meets him with a Lariat that turns Jack inside out.
Blaylock: That's why he's the best at what he does!
Jack gets back to his feet and goes for a Hurricanrana but Bobby counters into another Powerbomb but as he lifts Jack up in position... he counters... INTO A CANADIAN DESTROYER! BOBBY IS STUNNED, THE CROWD ARE IN SHOCK! Jack tries to cover Bobby but he's reluctant to not be pinned early on. Jack gets Bobby up to his feet and attempts a Neckbreaker but Bobby breaks free and hits a clubbing forearm to the back of Jack's head.
Prescott: And now Bobby looking to gain the upper hand here.
Blaylock: Of course he is, Stan!
Bobby is in position for an Iconkick, and he goes and MISSES IT! Jack moves out of the way and sweeps the leg of Bobby. Jack then leaps in the air for a Double Foot Stomp to the chest of Bobby, taking the breath away from the champion himself. Jack fixates Bobby to a corner and he climbs to the top rope, he then attempts his signature 450 Splash but Bobby quickly moved out of the way, sending Jack crashing to the mat. Bobby rushes to the top rope and connects his signature Shooting Star Press. Bobby hooks the leg.
ONE!
KICKOUT!
Prescott: Surely Bobby would know it's not that easy to pin Jack.
Blaylock: He just wants to find a quick ending to this.
Bobby gets Jack up to his feet and goes for Prodigal Arrival, his Sliced Bread #2 finisher. He climbs up the ropes and goes over but Jack throws Bobby out to the floor, then he rebounds off the ropes and hits a Tope Con Hilo over the ropes. Jack then picks up Bobby and Irish Whips Bobby into the Steel Steps, he goes flying over the steps and gets back up, wobbling on one leg. Jack then climbs onto the steps and flies through the air with a Crossbody. He then throws him into the barricade and then back into the ring. Jack brings Bobby to his feet and sets him up in the corner, he takes a few steps back before running up to hit the Diamond Splash but Bobby moved out of the way again. Bobby hooks the head of Jack and runs up the turnbuckles for PRODIGAL ARRIVAL!! HE HOOKS THE LEG FOR THE PIN!
Blaylock: PIN HIM BOBBY!
Prescott: The cover!
ONE!
TW- KICKOUT!
Jack somehow managed to kick out of this with ease. Bobby brings Jack back up to his feet and goes for an Iconkick but Jack ducks the kick and... STACKED DECK FROM OUTTA NOWHERE!!! Jack goes for the pin, pulling on the tights of Bobby.
ONE!
T- KICKOUT!
Prescott: These two are not going to stop until one gives in!
Blaylock: Their history gives them the advantage to know how each other's finishers work.
Jack stands in a corner, trying to gain momentum back. Bobby is helping himself up to his feet in the opposite corner from Jack. Jack runs at Bobby looking to hit that Diamond Splash but Bobby sees him coming and hits an Iconkick!
Blaylock: Distortion Kick!
Prescott: Not anymore, that's the Iconkick!
Jack is down and Bobby is slumped over in the corner, he starts climbing to the top and sees Jack down. He then jumps and hits a Coup De Grace into the heart of Jack. He then brings Jack to his feet and puts him a Fireman's Carry position, Jack comes back to life and starts hitting elbows to Bobby's head, he slides down Bobby's back and shoves him forward and into the ref, the referee goes down and Jack then goes low with a kick to the crotch of Bobby, Jack then grabs Bobby in a Small Package as the ref comes to his senses again.
ONE!
TWO!
T- KICKOUT!
Blaylock: This match should be thrown out! He blatantly cheated!
Prescott: As one would say, the referee didn't see it.
Bobby rolls out to the ring apron as Jack gets to his feet, Bobby gets to his on the apron and comes to blows with Jack. Jack gets the upper hand and slingshots himself over the ropes and DDTs Bobby onto the ring apron! Bobby falls in a heap onto the floor, Jack then drags him over to the steps, leaning him upright on them. He then paces around the ring before hitting a Hesitation Dropkick on Bobby, pushing the steps back upon impact. Jack then throws him back into the ring and climbs to the top, he throws up the Diamond sign and connects his 450 Splash called Shuffled Deck. Jack goes for the pin on Bobby.
ONE!
TWO!
KICKOUT!
Jack is frustrated over Bobby being able to kick out.
Blaylock: This is really wearing on my man, it's all my fears being brought back, it's like ICW all over again.
Jack then brings Bobby back to his feet but Bobby counteracts with a jumping Knee to the jaw of Jack an- ICONKICK! BOBBY CONNECTS AN ICONKICK! HE FOLLOWS UP WITH AN ICONBREAKER!!! HE HOOKS BOTH LEGS!
ONE!
TWO!
THR- NO!!
JACK KICKED OUT! THE LAST BIT OF ENERGY OF BOBBY STUNNED HIM!
Prescott: Where did that all come from!?
Blaylock: Bobby was so close! He was seeing the gold come back to him after that, but once again, it just couldn't put Jack away.
Bobby, in full anger, heads outside the ring and searches under the ring...
Prescott: This match isn't a No DQ?
Blaylock: Bobby can do whatever he damn well pleases to do.
He pulls out a Table and two chairs, he then takes one search under the ring and finds...
Prescott: Oh no.
Blaylock: OH YES!
Prescott: It's...
Blaylock: DEBRA!!
Bobby grabs his trusty Baseball Bat, ol' Debra. He slides in the ring with Debra in his hands, the referee puts a stop before he can get to his feet, trying to yank Debra from his hands. With all of this happening, Jack gets to his feet and sets up a chair right behind him. Bobby shoves the referee towards him, and lunges at Jack but Jack sends Bobby up with a Back Body Drop onto the chair, squashing the chair in the process. The ref didn't see it happening and Jack kicks the chair away. Jack then tries to lock in Aces Wild and he does! Bobby screams in pain but his bat is in arm's reach, he grabs Debra and swings at Jack's knee. He hits and Jack lets out a blood curdling scream upon impact.
Prescott: Blatant cheating, Steven?
Blaylock: This is fair! Jack is paying for cheating TWICE now!
Bobby looks for another way to send Jack home without the X-Crown. He then sets up the table in the middle of the ring and brings Jack to his feet, he lifts his arm over his head and connects a Side Effect. He then brings the lifeless body of Jack onto the table, the referee seeing what's going on and insists Bobby not to do anything, Bobby doesn't listen and climbs to the top rope, taking his time and slowly prepares himself. Bobby taunts Jack and throws up the Diamond symbol before launching himself with a Shooting Star Press... BUT JACK ROLLED OFF THE TABLE, BOBBY SENT HIMSELF CRASHING THROUGH!
Blaylock: How did Jack manage to roll away?!
Prescott: Taking his time and taunting was the difference maker, Steven. Bobby was too cocky and he knows better than to do that to Jack.
Jack is clueless to what happened, he looks over to Bobby laid out after being put through the table, he crawls over and rolls Bobby over, placing his arm over for the cover.

Blaylock: TWO AND FOUR FIFTHS! BOBBY IS STILL IN THIS SOMEHOW!
Prescott: Bobby must have gained some power to kickout.
Jack, struggling with his knee, gets to his feet and so does Bobby shortly after. Both men look at each other and they reign both of themselves down with some stiff punches, neither men giving in to the shots they're throwing, Bobby then rakes the eyes of Jack but Jack comes back and rakes the eyes of Bobby. Bobby then goes for a Discus Clothesline but Jack ducks it, Bobby then attempts his Iconbreaker but Jack catches him. Jack then places him onto the top turnbuckle and both men throw more punches at one another. Jack then gets onto the second rope and starts laying down hell on Bobby. The crowd count along with each punch.
ONE! punch TWO! punch THREE! punch FOUR! punch FIVE! punch SI-
Bobby then punches the gut of Jack, stopping his momentum. Bobby then turns around and hooks his arm around Jack's head, looking to hit Prodigal Arrival from the second rope. Jack grabs a chair and looks to strike down the final nail in Bobby's reign. He raises the chair but the referee intervenes, swiping the chair away from Jack's hands, as he gets the chair out of the ring, Bobby hits his own Low Blow on Jack. He gets to his feet and connects an ICONBREAKER! HE THEN GRABS THE HEAD OF JACK ONCE MORE AND RUNS UP THE TURNBUCKLE AND FINALLY HITS THE PRODIGAL ARRIVAL!!! BOBBY HOOKS THE LEG!

Blaylock: There's no stopping Jack at this stage!!
But Jack is struggling to continue, Bobby is standing in the corner, looking on at the helpless Jack Diamond trying to get to his feet. This match has taken so much out of him. Bobby crouches in the corner, looking at how Jack is struggling. Jack looks at Bobby, who looks upset. Bobby is upset at how an old friend and rival of his is struggling to even cope. Jack gets to his feet, just barely, and taunts at Bobby to bring it. Bobby refuses to do anything until Jack is able to stand properly, which he clearly cannot. Jack taunts him more but he mutters out some words that get to Bobby's head.
Jack: Do it for Jenny!
Bobby looks at Jack, the slight bit of anger running through his body along with other emotions, he is seeing red. But, before he can do anything, Bobby realizes who he's sharing the ring with, snaps out of his trance and says...
Bobby: I'm sorry... I love you.

Blaylock: OH MY GOD! BOBBY HAS DONE IT! He has captured the one title that has ALWAYS been just out of reach!
Prescott: What a match from these two rival and best friends!!!
Jack lays there looking up at the lights. Bobby pulls himself up before falling back to a knee, looking at his best friend lying there. Spent. Bobby helps Jack to his feet and Jack sort of pushes him away as Motherfucker of the Year plays out.
Blaylock: Oh come on Jack, no need to be bitter, you beat by the better man tonight!
Maverick and the newest member of the Icons, JFK has made it down to the ring to celebrate with Bobby. Jack rolls out of the ring and goes to the timekeeper's table, grabbing both the ICW World Heavyweight Title and Bobby's custom X*Crown title. Bobby eyes him as he slides back into the ring with both belts.
Prescott: The one title that meant the world to Jack for so long and the other title he has held twice in the XHF and was hell bent on holding a third time.
Bobby stares on with intensity as Jack holds both titles outstretched in his hands, looking at them, tears forming in his eyes. He reaches out and hands both belts to Bobby beofore they embrace in a huge hug to a thunderous roar of cheers! Jack raises Bobby's hand as the celebration begins for Bobby.
Blaylock: Class move on The Ace of Spades part!
Crowd: THANK YOU DIAMOND! clap clap clap-clap-clap
Prescott: Listen to this crowd Steven!
Blaylock: What? I can't hear you?
Crowd: THANK YOU DIAMOND! clap clap clap-clap-clap
Diamond exits the ring and looks on as Bobby, Maverick and JFK all celebrate. Bobby's theme cuts and switches to the song that Jack came out to as he walks up the ramp.
Prescott: Let's not forget what Jack said, Steven. If he couldn't beat Bobby tonight he would retire from the ring. Did we just witness the last ever Jack Diamond match?
Blaylock: I know you are never supposed to say "never" in the wrestling business but if this was the last time The Ace laces up his boots, what a hell of a match to go out in.
Jack stands at the top of the ramp. He locks eyes with Bobby and throws up his Diamond sign one last time.
Crowd: THANK YOU DIAMOND!! clap clap clap-clap-clap
THANK YOU DIAMOND!! clap clap clap-clap-clap
THANK YOU DIAMOND!! clap clap clap-clap-clap
