Well look for yourself. Did I just suddenly switch to DT? Or was my vote on Dunne really a joke, like I'm claiming it is?

But on the off chance someone is a lie detector: I am town. This is a strange thing to say, seeing as nobody has mentioned lie detectors before. Kinda sounds like you are fishing for roles by saying this. Or, you are the lie detector and want to test someone. Very strange time to mention this. I am Town btw. Gotta be honest, I liked everything in this post up until you having to say you're town. Have you heard of a phrase called LAMIST?

I originally was on Dunne. I think I was the first on him. I had no opinion on DT. It was that first post that I quoted that I believe Mongo commented on, which really pinged me.
DT started off saying a bunch of things that was lazy and displayed the intent of scum hunting without actually scumhunting that really made me change my mind.
And I'd rather lynch a scummy person than a useless person any day.

DT doesn't seem scummy to me. Though I caution against:
A. Assuming there is a lie detector B. Recalling that in the two games that had one, the first could not check alignment and the second there was no cop. We HAD a cop this game so IF there is a lie detector, they could probably only check statements from people but not alignment.
I agree that it is unlikely that the scumm didn't not try to off someone UNLESS they simply aren't active. More than likely it's a jailkeeper, doctor or roleblocker. Let's not rule any of those roles out. We have seen them all be town before. Though perhaps not more than one?

Could it be possible to have a Cop AND Lie Detector though? Is that not overkill for Town? Because I feel like this is something DT would know, and if it isn't a common thing then he is 100% fishing for roles. Namely the protection ones you just listed. Another way to look at it is who would be a target of a nightkill? Realistically it will be the ones creating the most noise, which I would see as; - Probably myself, as I've been piping up a bit. - Rat, as he's be active enough this game. - DT, he's been very vocal and helpful. - Kuroi, same reason as DT. We could consider people like Kira, Mongo, Dylan etc. to be active too but their posts aren't really guiding or starting a wagon. More so just filler/ fodder. So if someone WAS targeted last night, I'd bet it was one of the noisier ones. That's if a kill attempt was made, and I don't think on Night 2 they would have been idle. I'd also go so far as to bet scum are in the mix with those more active too. Which means whoever was targeted last night is likely in that group of four, and two of them are likely scum. If someone on Town used a Roleblock last night you nailed scum, and saved a Townie.

To answer your question, it IS possible for town to be as powerful as they want. But for a good mod (and Steele's probably good enough), any power to the town would need an equally powerful boost to scum.
I also love how I went from too quiet to one of those making the most noise.

Now that I've been able to read your comment more closely (work's busy): The general practice of mafia is that those who carry suspicion should be left alive. That's why I'm rarely the N1 kill (unless scum fear me - i.e.: Futurama Mafia) I don't believe DT would be left alive. Assuming you're town, you and Rat could be killed.
The downside is that, because I have said this, I've created a WIFOM. Scum could read this and say, "Well now that they say that, maybe I could do that since they won't expect it."
I did say it though because I'm not thinking mafia would take those chances.

I'm not fishing for roles. On the contrary I'm trying to figure out who to trust. My previous post was based on reads I made and what I felt they meant. I thought hype had a piece of info and based on a previous interaction may have had a specific role and also pegged another being in the game.
I'm beginning too think it was me underestimating hype and thinking he couldn't get to the reasoning he used without a specific piece of info cuz it seems I was wrong based on this last set of posts.
That said I might still be right just not by logic but luck. I'm not ok with that as it means my reads are bad and that isn't a good thing for me as I am usually good at reading people.
Kuroi humor me here. What makes you suspect Dylan? I was suspicious of a traitor but based on how the game has now gone I'm beginning too think my other hunch on him was right and it isn't scummy. What are you seeing that I possibly am not?

Dylan hasn't contributed anything. He posted song lyrics, followed band wagons and lied underneath the radar.
The only time I've been made aware of a traitor role was when I played a game called Epic Mafia, which is absolute garbage.
When you say traitor, do you mean a mafia role who is not allowed to communicate with other mafia but all know who each other are?

They were town that won if the mafia won. I don't know what epic mafia is though so I can't say if it's similar. It's in a wiki though. My concern are those who continue to fly under the radar like Dunn did. I need real posts to post real reads.

No we had one in a previous game where mav was town but won with scum and was going against town even though he didn't know who scum was and they didn't know he existed. I only suggested it because Judas is one of the most well known songs by Dylan's band Fozzy and Judas is like the most well known traitor in history.
Though my opinion has changed on that as again bands aren't supposed to be alignment indicative.
If that's your only argument against Dylan, Dunne has done that worse so why joke about Dunne but be serious about Dylan that he's your secondmost likely scum?

Judas is like the most well known traitor in history that's subjective. And only if your into that Jesus book for dudes. Back stabbing is just as traitor-y and that term is linked to someone else (and not a religion). But seriously Dunn. How do we at him to get him to post... and not lyrics?
