So it's well assumed at this point that the WWE cruises forums looking for ideas. Efed ideas. Efed ideas that can't be fought due to legal issues.
So let's make their work easier! Pitch an idea you think would be cool to see and how the storyline would play out. If you need to hire people, mention who's getting hired BUT WITHIN REASON. "Hire the Bullet Club" is not within reason. But if there's an indy scrub who fits go right ahead.
I'll start:
Hire Proletariat Boar.
Put him and a really tough looking girl (probably from the MYC) through the performance center and NXT. Let him keep the mask and the concept; have him like explain that he wears the mask of a domesticated animal to show his position in life, but that he still has tusks to fight or something. In NXT the two are just a team, the "People's Front" or something communist-y without saying the word (because of China).
Have them somehow qualify for the mixed-match challenge. As representatives of NXT it makes sense since they're fighting against the bourgeois main roster.
It doesn't matter how they do in NXT or the MMC. When their skills are honed enough, they move to the main roster. From there things go crazy.
First they pick up a guy who "should be" a main eventer already but isn't. Somebody like Rusev (who comes with Lana, and I mean, Rusev is made for this). And other guys who are actually over but until now Vince has sort of ignored. The group is technically tweeners but play the heel style (so it's ok to cheer them). Get Drew Gulak; because his gimmick doesn't really need to change much, just he's spouting a different political ideology on the way to the Drewtopia
So this group is making waves and cutting promos against Vince's golden boys (so it feels like Punk promos people get so excited about). But every time they get a shot at said golden boys (Roman Reigns) they fail. Rusev, fail. Boar, horribly beaten. A couple other guys, squashed. Then out of nowhere during another squash match Roman taps to the Gu-lock. Even Drew Gulak is surprised.
Everything goes sideways in the WWE. Suddenly the group is in everyone's stuff. Women's title, World title, IC title, Tag Titles, Cruiserweight Title. They start making demands, maybe changing match rules or changing the look of the arena. Suddenly fans are realizing that supporting these guys wasn't so good. That's when the fallen heroes have to come together to take back the WWE. So you get your Roman, you get your uhhhh, Lashley, all these guys who Vince protects hard. And bam, there's a massive storyline leading into Survivor Series.
By the end of it you've got a few more main-eventers and high-level women wrestlers. Roman only had to lose once (or twice if champ- but not to a smaller guy again and maybe not fairly). And with a compelling story it might help Roman a bit too.
You might think this comes from frustration with the "middle class" of wrestlers or Vince's prize fighters- but actually its not. One of my favorite storylines was the RTC stable. Out of nowhere WWF made Steven Richards a real threat, brought back Ivory, completely refreshed Val Venis and Godfather and turned a bunch of mid-lower carders into a major storyline. It got cut real suddenly though. I loved that, and this is sort of like that only a bit more on-the-nose. It balances being completely out there (communism in wrestling, lol) while also treading the realism line with the not-pushed guys speaking out against the elite. So everyone wins.
What kind of ideas do you have?
